My air conditioner was recalled by Midea. I was told they would send a technician to repair it within 3 weeks. More than 4 weeks and multiple phone calls later, I have still not been contacted to schedule a repair. **************** representatives say there is no supervisor for me to speak to. Overall, an awful customer service experience

I ordered a Midea window AC last Friday and for purchasing I used Shop Pay. When I was checking out Shop Pay had some of my credit cards saved from previous purchases - I selected my card and it showed the correct billing address. I did not see a shipping address to verify (it's possible I missed it) but I submitted the order and right after, I saw that it was going to my old address in another state.I contacted Midea's customer support via chat within 10 min of my order asking them to update the shipping address. The agent said they couldn't help me, so I emailed customer support and they said that it's against their policy to update shipping addresses post ******** I called customer service and they agreed to cancel the order/refund me so I could order again. I emailed to confirm the order could be cancelled and I later got another message saying they couldn't guarrantee that the order would be cancelled but they did ask the shipping **** to do ***** I just hoped for the best and a day later, I got an email saying my order had shipped to the wrong address.I was frustrated but decided to see if *** could update the shipping address for me on Monday. *** does offer this service but they told me that Midea has restrictions on their packages that do not allow customers to change the shipping address.I contacted Midea again to see if they could remove the restrictions for *** so I could update the address. They said they escalated it to the higher *** and were told that they could not (or would not ) remove the *************** window AC is shipping to GA (I live in **). It may have been my mistake, ; however, I notified Midea right away and the company just wouldn't help me at all. I do think customer service really tried but it seems like they had no power to actually change anything. I'm SO disappointed in Midea's treatment of customers and I DO NOT plan on buying again.

Do not do business with this company. I am one of many Midea A/C recall recipients. They are doing everything to not pay the refund for the recall products. Many complaints filed with the ***************************** about this. **************** for the recalls are a buffer with limited control, six supervisors I spoke to lied and gave me different information. I have been in contact with the ************************** who said they are escalating the complaint.

Midea America which is one of the largest appliance companies in the world who did a voluntary recall for my specific unit and serial number which confirmed it was in the recall. Midea's primary issue where not only is the ********************************** is involved since Midea window u-shaped AC units are collecting mold from an issue from the manufacturer. I registered my unit on their website upon purchase as well as the recall website and requested a refund. They will not do anything. My unit is covered in mold (it is over 3 years old) in the compressor and all over the vents. People are furious with them. I have sent 21 emails and over 15 phone calls and they are requesting a photo of the power cord cut to be sent before they will refund the money. On top of this, as a disabled person with 100 degree weather, they refuse to assist without the power cord cut. Then they said they would replace it but wanted the moldy one sent back. If a disabled person doesn't have the ability to remove the unit from the window, drive it to *** and is 50+ pound unit to return it and no delivery service picks up from my building how am I supposed to do this? I have received no help from them and it's out of control. Social media has exploded with this manufacturer who is not doing anything to help. Under the Americans with Disability Act, companies must make "reasonable accommodations" for people like me. How are they making this "reasonable" in 100 temperatures??? I am requesting their corporate office to contact me to resolve. I have sent them all the pictures of the unit and can not go without an AC unit for 3-4 weeks per their representatives to issue anything. Please help. Thanks.

I am highly disappointed in how they are handling the recall on the U-shaped AC's. I cut the cord on June 7th per their request and still have not received any info on my refund. When i called they told me it hadnt been reviewed and there is no ETA. I now have no AC in the summer heat unless i pay out of pocket for something new.I shouldnt have to wait over two weeks to have any form of update to the process.I even requested to speak to a supervisor, but shockingly there were none available and i was told i would need to call back, not even an offer to have a supervisor call me back when free. I was then hung up on.

Dehumidifier new out of the box is missing a wheel (which I must say was promptly sent after a couple chat sessions) but also the water level float mechanism was broken. How this thing passed inspection is beyond me. Going on a week now trying to find out if they are going to repair or replace.

Im writing to express my disappointment with the handling of your recent product ********* early June, I received a notice regarding a serious mold issue with my Midea AC unit, a $350 product I purchased years ago. Per your guidance, I immediately stopped using the unit and followed the refund instructions, including cutting the power cord and submitting the required photo **************, weeks later, I was told my submission still hasnt been reviewed and that theres no clear timeline for doing so. Even once it is reviewed, Ive now been informed it could take up to an additional six weeks for a check to be issued. This is unacceptable. Your recall requires me to permanently disable my AC, which puts me in a position of having to pay out-of-pocket for a replacementduring peak summer heatdue to a defect caused by your product. If youre going to demand such a firm step from consumers, your processing time should reflect urgency and accountability, not a 23 month ******** the time any refund might arrive, summer will be over here in the Northeast. That defeats the point of your make-good entirely.I understand the need for verification, but the lack of follow-through and transparency is deeply unprofessional. Based on this experience, I will not be purchasing Midea products again and will advise others to be cautious.I expect this to be escalated for immediate review and resolution.

First off, on their emails they sent me, they included they were an accredited BBB member with an A+ rating, and I see on here that they are NOT accredited! Anyway, I bought an air conditioner on June 4th and the side panel had a small tear and when I put it in my window of course it has to stretch from the unit it's attached to to the other side, and it ripped completely off. I had filed a warranty as soon as I got it and was back and forth with customer service with them asking me for the receipt which I provided twice and their answer was to take the whole thing back. I am disabled and no I'm not taking the whole unit back over a ten dollar side panel when I have an active warranty!! I then asked for the supervisor, which never reached back out so I filed a new ticket and they told me that the first one was not resolved. Well still no contact with supervisor! I also can't believe they put they are accredited in their emails when they obviously are not according to the BBB website! Wish I could leave negative infinity stars for this company. They ask for this and that and won't honor their own warranty.

Purchased a Midea dishwater at Lowes, took out extended warranty.Within 1 year the plastic on the basket prongs started to wear off, metal showing & rust on dishes. Midea said they had no baskets in stock & not covered under warranty. Lowes told me the same, not covered. I even brought the basket racks to Lowes. They offered a small discount on another dishwasher, but it was ********** insisting these baskets are defective, none of the businesses seem to care.
