My scores were placed on hold yesterday. I called ETS and they explained that the review might take up to 4 weeks. I was very upset, spoke with them about my situation and that I really need my results by next week. They told me to wait for the email..and guess what?! A couple hours later I received the email with my scores! Unfortunately I didnt receive scores I needed and I have to take the test agin but I felt like ETS listened to me and they really tried to help. This was a very positive experience, thank you guys so much!

I tried to take the at home version of their GRE general test but was not provided the service. Their software (or proctoru) software wrongfully claimed my computer was using ****%. This result in me not being able to even begin the test. I confirmed with activity monitor on my Mac that my computer was not using that much ram in fact it was only using 20% as the lockdown browser was the only thing open on my computer.I thought this would be no big deal and I could reschedule my test and maybe take it in person to avoid this problem completely. Instead they denied my ability to get any type of reschedule or refund and therefore left me with the $220 bill for a service I didn't get. After contacting customer ********************** for weeks I have made no progress. This company has treated me completely unfairly. They continue to push that this is my fault even though I have provided them with proof of otherwise. The proof is shown in the screen recording they take of my computer during the testing session

WHY DOES ETS/TOEFL THINK THEY HAVE THE RIGHT TO KEEP OUR MONEY FOR A SERVICE THEY DIDNT PROVIDE? I had a TOEFL Home Edition Test scheduled for September 12th. At 9:40 exactly, I was there in front of my computer, ready to take the test. I downloaded and installed the required ProctorU Guardian Browser and contacted their support representatives, who were unable to make the test platform work, even after I allowed to remote into my computer. Then, I didnt take the test scheduled and they are refusing to reschedule it to me or providing a refund. They say I need to make another payment of $286,39! HOW COULD THEY HAVE THE RIGHT TO KEEP A MONEY FOR A SERVICE THEY DIDNT PROVIDE?

My name is ....., my ID is .....,email is .........and I made an appointment for the ***** exam on September 4th . Unfortunately, I accidentally fell while playing basketball yesterday, causing my right thumb to fracture. I am currently undergoing treatment in the hospital and cannot attend exam. The refund terms state that external factors such as injuries can be applied for a refund. Therefore, I would like to apply for a refund and hope to receive permission. I sent email but they did not reply to me, which is disrespectful to consumers.I hope they can provide me with an explanation as soon as possible and provide me with a refund. Here is my exam appointment time and appointment number Test Date and Time: Sep 04, 2023-04:20 AM (CT)

The ppl who ETS hire to ******* the online exam really ****. Their system is messed up. One of the ******* told me my system keeps freezing in all reality it was her's. I triple checked my system leading up to the exam and checked again before I started the test. I even had my E-thernet cord connected to my router to make sure I didn't lose any signal. They wanted me to look for a different computer to take my exam at 10pm at night because simething was wrong with it. I finally was able to take it after trying to get another ******* to check my system and then her system stopped and transferred me to someone else. It was pure h*** for me, I failed by 27 points and have to wait 30 days to retake, smh.

Like everyone said in the other reviews, they have a terrible system that keeps failing and dont take responsibility for that. I went through such a big distress while taking my Toefl at home, spent over an hour with their technical support and he concluded there was nothing he could do, that Id need to contact ets to reschedule it. It turns out that they take 5 days to receive the technical report and you cant reschedule it in the meantime. And after all they dont want to refund or reschedule it anyways. I paid for a new test and disputed the previous one with my credit card company and guess what, now they wont send my score until I pay them again, with additional $30 for chargeback. Their customer support couldnt care less. Theyre in such a position where they can do whatever they want because they have total monopoly of this testing business. If your university accepts IELTS, dont hesitate taking that instead.

The circumstances surrounding my TOEFL exam were highly unfair due to multiple irregularities, including misleading information, lack of breaks, and ******* interference that significantly impacted my speaking performance. A retest is necessary to rectify this unjust situation, jeopardizing my applications and educational opportunities.During the exam, I encountered several issues that compromised the assessment's fairness. The test center provided incorrect information about a mandatory break, but no break was provided. This misinformation misled me and disrupted my focus, causing unnecessary stress.Furthermore, when I requested to use the restroom before speaking, the male ******* followed me into the women's bathroom - violating my rights as an examinee. This intrusion created an uncomfortable, rushed experience that disrupted my concentration during the exam. The ******** gave me misleading advice to report my scores despite missing almost the entire speaking section due to their errors. This undermined the accuracy of my results and cast doubt on the testing process's fairness.ETS's dismissive, automated responses failed to adequately address these issues - indicating a lack of understanding of the $300 cost and impact of TOEFL scores on applications. The combined impact of these circumstances resulted in an incomplete assessment that will unjustly influence my applications. These circumstances violated ETS policy and undermined the trust I once placed in the testing process. Therefore, I respectfully but urgently request a retest at no cost to rectify this unjust situation and demonstrate ETS's commitment to fairness and integrity. Improved ******* training is also needed to prevent others from facing similar unfair circumstances.I hope ETS will thoroughly evaluate my case and determine an appropriate remedy that restores faith in their assessments' reliability and fairness.

I am writing to bring to your attention a deeply frustrating and concerning issue I encountered during my recent at-home exam administered by ETS. Unfortunately, due to a system error that occurred during the exam, my test session was forcibly terminated by the proctorU, causing significant distress and potentially delaying my graduate school application. On 2 Aug 2023 @1630 CDT, I checked in with the ******* for my at-home GRE exam. However, there were some technical issues in the beginning that the ******* had to restart my computer. Afterward, the ******* did security screening on the testing environment and my laptop. Then the ******* went to the computer setting to change whatever they required for the exam. The whole technical issue, in the beginning, led to a delayed start after 5:30 pm. Everything was checked and verified before the ******* signed me in for the exam on the ETS browser. My exam was paused in the second section as the ******* was disconnected to the camera.During the prolonged technical issue, I attempted to get updates by connecting to the live chat box on the ProctorU browser twice. To my dismay, I finally received a notification from **** stating that my exam had been terminated. When I inquired about the reason for the termination, he informed me to contact ETS for further information. Upon reaching out to ETS as instructed by ****, the representative could not give me any further information and ETS needs to investigate my case for 3-5 business days. I want to emphasize that this unexpected termination was beyond my control and not due to any actions or negligence on my part. I had invested considerable time, effort, and financial resources into preparing for this examination, and this whole system failure incident caused serious concerns about the reliability and validity of the entire testing process.

Horrible experience. ******* changed halfway through the Praxis test and recertified my information which is a lengthy process, while the timer was still counting down so I couldn't finish the test and ended up failing. Very nasty and unaccommodating on the phone. The " Test Taker Advocate" was condescending and sarcastic. Might as well hang up if you are put on the line with ******.
