      I will not even give one star,Please If you have to do a Toefl don't go to that ETS online, they are terrible, they just want your money. after that they don't care much. I had a online ets exam but didn't work ell, I send them this email:R S @ 07/18/2023 03:31 PM:Good Afternoon Dear Mr/Mrs I am writing to you in regard to the Toefl exam that I took on July 4th this month. ETS ID:***Name: R S I was supposed to take the exam at ***** iBT TEST APPOINTMENT Test Product: ***** iBT Test Test Date and Time: Jul 04, 2023 - 07:10 PM (ET - Eastern Time - *******/********)Test Center: Home Edition Appointment Number: #***so I registered at 6pm but was able to start only at 8pm. In the middle of the exam, during the listening part, everything went blank, 15min later, the technician got back to me and told me that I have to start over!! I told him that I am not able to do so and we ended up the exam. I just need a refund, that is unacceptable.and this is their response:****************** @ 07/18/2023 04:55 PM:Dear R s,We are writing concerning the at-home ***** iBT examination that you were scheduled to take on July 4, 2023.These technical difficulties caused your examination to stop during the Listening section. Our records indicate that you could not complete your examination due to limited RAM usage with the computer you attempted to test with.Unfortunately, we are unable to comply with your request to provide you with a free makeup test. While ETS can provide candidates with equipment requirements and the tools to ensure that their equipment and network meet the necessary prerequisites, each candidate is ultimately responsible for ensuring that the equipment they plan to test with meets the required technical specifications listed on the ***** website. , candidates who do not meet these requirements will not be able to test, and they will not receive a refund or a free reschedule.Educational Testing Service (ETS)***** Test Taker **************

      I was scheduled to take the Praxis for my teachers license. First off, I missed the test because it was scheduled for 12:10 am which I mixed up for 12:10 pm. My fault, I own that, but I was not given any sort of notice that I was late, or that my test was starting soon. I understand it was my mixup, but if a ******* is sitting there waiting for me for an extended time and has my contact info, I should've received some notification. Also, why was midnight even an option? I called ETS when I realized the mistake and they said I had to repay the full $170 for the test because I was a no-show... How unethical can a company be to charge people for a product that they didn't even use. I asked if I could just use it as a credit for me to reschedule the test. NOPE. Not only did they not let reschedule online, but I had to call several times to get ahold of a live agent to reschedule. They said they couldn't reschedule because they hadn't received my scores yet. The live agent then read me word for word the email they sent saying I missed the test and have to call in and reschedule. Comically, I laughed because that is exactly what I was doing. They told me to call back the next day to see if the scores came in. I called the next day, nope. Then the next day after that, nope. Finally after almost a week, they said I can reschedule, but the billing department has to do it and they don't open until 11 am, so they will call me back. Do you think they called me back? no. I had to recall them the next day and finally reschedule. Horrible user experience. Prospecting teachers should not have to deal with this, let alone pay astronomical fees for these tests that they try and uncharge you the whole time to buy one set of practice questions....

      When I took the core writing exam a few weeks ago and the first section wea multiple choice but there were no options to choose from. The ******* said it was a tech issue and transferred me to another Technician. She says Does it need options? Seems good to me, continue. Thats insane. Needless to say I didnt get credit for a whole section of the exam so I failed. I have screenshots of the conversation with the so-called technician, so Ill see if that helps at all in getting the opportunity to take the test again without having to pay. Im waiting to get a return email from ETS Praxis, so well see what happens. They are insanely worried about people cheating and create so many unnecessary problems for honest test takers, its ridiculous. My patience is wearing thin.

      Rude ********. So many problems and nothing is ever their fault. We should not have to go through what we do as future teachers. There needs to be another company as an option to test. I have more to take but dont want to due to not wanting to have to deal with what I had to last time.

      I give negative stars!Someone else needs to be involved in educational testing! Dp not purchase or use the pravtice test prep on the ETS website! This company has the worst, most condescending customer ********************** out there. I paid for my test and test prep. After taking the practice test for 4 hours, answering 120 questions and writing the first out of four essays, the system glitchesd and brought me back to the beginning. No answers, no review...no learning. Extreme frustration! It took a day to ************ back. I was told to reboot and clear browser history. Took the test again...same exact thing happened. I have been repeatedly asking for the answers and they are unresponsive. I have also asked for them to take down all test prep, in order for all people to avoid this. Silence for days. I believe they are this way because they're the only ones who give the tests. Someone needs to help!

      I scheduled for the ************* Praxis PLT on May 7, 2023. During the pretest qualifications, a technician asked to reboot and assured me the chat would resume when it did. It didn't. I couldn't get back in to talk with anyone. So, I had to register AGAIN, pay the $156 AGAIN and wait 28 days for a test I didn't even get to start. My reschedule date was June 11, 2023. Low and behold, the SAME thing happens again. I even expressed my concern from previous experience to the tech asking to reboot my computer. I passed ALL the equipment checks prior to (and after being transferred to the first technician this time) just to be transferred, rebooted and disconnected again. I'll probably wind up paying the money a third time and having to wait the ******************************************** time to get scores back before the fall semester when my grad school requires the test scores to be back. I'm wondering if this isn't a racket to get test takers to continue having to pay good money to take tests they have to take. I do not feel I should have to pay for the first two times since I never even got to the actual testing part - but here we are. Do better ETS!

      I had an 8am appointment 6/10/23. I received a telephone call the night before asking for me to come in early (*******am) to take the test "because it get crowded" their words, not mine. I got there approx. 650am, brought all my identification and everything they asked for. I went inside then went to the floor/room on my test ticket. I ONLY brought in what they asked (drivers lic, test ticket and car keys). I signed in, then I was asked to go into the room to get my testing computer. The guy behind the desk made me roll up my sleeves, turn out my pocket, roll up my pants legs, in error I had a dollar bill in my pocket (I forgot all about) the guy yelled at me so bad that everyone in the room stopped to look. I am a teacher, have been one since ****, I was just trying to further my education and possibly advance my career, but after this I refuse to give ETS any more of my money and if I didn't do well, so be it. It's unfortunate that future educators have to submit to this bad attitude/behavior of the ********* testing center, not to mention the outdated computers, poor internet and poor ventilation.

      There is something sketchy about this testing site, not only the computer freezes for a few seconds when taking the test, it seems to be set up as if they want you to keep taking it for a certain amount of time prior to passing. When I failedone of my test by one point, their computer frozen. I had applying my gender and race because sometimes I feel that is a factor. Ive take. Multiple (over 10 different subject matters ) test with this company and there seems to always be something. I am a single mom, and is incredibly expensive to throw away over a ***** dollars to have a system play games and state that you failed by a few points and provide very little literature as to what youve got wrong. This is all about money and its unfortunate for many people who are striving to better their careers. Life is challenging and expensive and it is not cool to be unethically be in business just for the money. We are real people whos relying on your system to be legit.

      I signed up for an at-home test in February, two thousand and twenty three. Prior to taking the assessment I installed and tested the required software for test monitoring. It passed the test. In March, I was ready to take the at-home test but it did not work. I was on the chat and on the phone with their IT for almost an hour troubleshooting the issue. It was determined by the ******* that I could not take the test. I was unable to reschedule the test or to receive a refund. I was told that I did not test my computer prior to testing and for that reason I was not eligible to get a refund. I filed a chargeback with my credit card company for the refund as no services were rendered. When I went back in to register for another test I was assessed a one hundred and fifty dollar penalty. To take the assessment I have to now pay two hundred and seventy dollars. I have sent several emails to praxisadvocacyatets.org and I have not received a response or resolution to this issue. The behavior of this organization is not ethical. As I read through the reviews on this site I can see that this is a regular practice for this organization. As an educator this is devastating to my career and my finances. Please do better Praxis.

      Never take the at home test. I never saw the test because the ******* would not allow me to test. It took over 30 minutes for him to tell me he couldn't let me take the test, he gave no specific security requirement I'd failed to be denied access for the test. Furthermore, I sent an email to the customer sercice line and never got a resolution. I had to call in about a week later only to find out that my test was marked incomplete, so despite never having seen the test I now have to re-register and waste another $150 to take the test for the first time. The least convenient at home test I've ever attempted to take.
