Xoom Energy is the most inefficient company I have ever dealt with. I pay all my bills on time. Xoom says "USPS is at fault. They delayed delivery of bills until past due". Then why are there so many negative reviews? This company is ONLY good at charging late fees and threatening to disconnect. My credit score is over 800, so they have no leg to stand on.
Save you money and the grief of dealing with Xoom Energy. Shop elsewhere. Find a good has company. Any but Xoom Energy.XOOM Energy LLC

Thanks for the response. Late and inadequate, but at least they lifted a pen. I have never encountered a company so poorly prepared to do business in the ***, Thy are STILL ******* me for money I DO NOT owe, I have a credit score of 820, I ALWAYS pay all bills on time. **** seems unable to handle accounts receivables properly. It's pointless to pursue this, but I can only hopethat others will read this and shop elsewhere, so I'm responding. Beware folks. I did get an email recently from Xoom. They say I owe more money even thoughI dropped them last month. Again: I pay ALL bills on time. It is Xoom that can't handle its business properly.I've offered to go to court and have this matter resolved by a Judge. So far, no response.XOOM Energy LLC

A XOOM Energy Specialist attempted to contact Mr. **** by phone in response to his first BBB review but was not able to reach him due to the phone being out of service. In order to protect Mr. ***** account information, detail of all that has transpired with his account was sent to him via email. In summary, a payment was received on January 29, 2025 for part of the balance on the account. While Mr. **** did switch his service from XOOM Energy, the effective date is determined by the utility, not XOOM Energy. We trust the steps that both Mr. **** and XOOM Energy have taken has satisfactorily resolved this issue.Review fromKen P

Scam. I read all of the details, but nothing had any numbers, except the $5.85 monthly fee it noted.
My $12 per month during the summer went up to $52 per month for the last. Although this is a fixed fee, I certainly did not expect $35+ in other charges that I am required to pay. Cancelling already after 2 months. What makes this worse is that some Supposed ******* Gas Savings site has them listed as a recommended provider. Clearly recommendations are based on who gives them the most money. Sites like this offer the real picture of this company.XOOM Energy LLC

XOOM Energy Georgia, LLC appreciates Mr. Pruett for providing his feedback and apologizes if he experienced any issues with XOOM Energy. A Quality Specialist contacted Mr. Pruett and provided information about the components of his invoices including the Atlanta Gas Light (AGL) Base Charges which can be reviewed on the portal at https://www.atlantagaslight.com/residential/pricing-and-rate-plans.html under Rates & Tariff’s for further explanation of the base charges. Mr. Pruett expressed his dissatisfaction that XOOM Energy does not break down the charges on the Terms and Conditions provided. Mr. Pruett’s natural gas service is scheduled to cancel with XOOM Energy on November 1, 2024. XOOM Energy values our customers and strives to keep our customers happy, therefore have waived the Early Termination Fee (ETF).Review fromOTIS B

I've been attempting to provide the police report and FTC documentation of identity theft, but they continue to attack my credit rating. I've not had an account with them, and I was outside of their service area when they claimed I had service with them. In some random apartment in Houston, but they don't care that I don't live in Houston. Now I have put credit alerts on all the consumer companies and I'm trying to repair my credit.
Don't even start with them. I had never heard of their company. Stay away from them and report them to any oversight boardXOOM Energy LLC

Deceptive and misleading billing.
Low therm rates entice the public to sign up for natural gas service however the DETAILED monthly bill includes over 11 line items not billed by other marketers in Georgia which results in a substantially higher monthly bill. Customers initially do not receive a detailed bill, instead they must search for it or request it.XOOM Energy LLC

This company is a scam. They charge extra and avoid cancelation just to continue to bill you, then price gouge. Please be aware.XOOM Energy LLC

A Customer Engagement Specialist spoke to Mr. ******* on August 20, 2024. The Specialist informed Mr. ******* that they enrolled for service in 2023 with ***** ********** on a SureLock 12 fixed Price Plan for 12 months, and that the enrollment confirmation and terms of service were emailed to him. Mr. ******* verified the email address to which the confirmation was sent. Mr. ******* was informed that XOOM Energy has been on the utility bill since 2023 and the charges were valid. Additionally, renewal information was sent to Mr. ******** email in April and May 2024. Since Mr. ******* did not wish to continue his services after his plan, his account was returned to standard offer service on September 24, 2024. It is important to note, it can take 1-2 billing cycles to return to the utility. XOOM Energy strives to provide our customers with a positive customer experience and have made Mr. ******** account whole until he returned to his utility. Never ever use Xoom Energy. There Sales Agent are very pushy and aggressively try to sell their products for their commission without any regards to the customer. Then they will send you unsolicited charges and payments owing.XOOM Energy LLC

DO NOT use this company for your natural gas needs. They like to lure you in with low prices but then will find ways to tack on other fees and charges. They would not send me a bill without me asking for it and then would add on late payment charges. One month I accidentally paid a little extra and I spent over 8 hours collectively over the next 2 months to get that fixed. They have the worst customer service I have ever had to deal with.XOOM Energy LLC

Online applications only. Cannot resolve problems over the phone. Have a 750 credit rating, good income and retirement savings, own home for over 5 years now and been with former natural gas provider SCANA energy for over 10 years in good standing. Xoom still required a $150 deposit or a bunch of documentation to prove I was over 65 or had the financial means to pay the bill. Sounds fraudulent to get some money up front. Phone operator kept repeating the website. Going with another service provider. Looks like the majority of people would have to go thru the deposit journey.XOOM Energy LLC

XOOM Energy does not have access to the utility payment history of the applicant, so we rely on the Equifax Advanced Energy Risk Model to evaluate the applicant's credit. This is different from a FICA or Beacon score that is typically used when applying for a mortgage. XOOM Energy only requires a valid government-issued ID to waive the applicant's deposit who is 65 years of age or older.
