      My wine fridge broke after 18 months of use, and it was a $11,000 wine fridge. I also purchased a steam oven, speed oven, fridge, stove, warming drawers, coffee machine, and dishwasher from Miele.I had to have the coffee machine serviced 3 times in the first year alone.The wine fridge compressor completely broke, and Miele sent a technician out twice to diagnose the problem before referring me out to a third party provider.I've yet to hear from the provider, and each time I call I receive requests from Miele to be put on a waiting list, call the provider myself, and other non resolutions.I'd like the wine fridge fixed immediately, and an extended warranty provided to me for it at no cost. My entire wine collection that was in the fridge is ruined at this point.Miele prides itself on being a ************** with outstanding engineering and customer service- my experience with their products and service couldn't be further from their mission statement as a company. I would actively advise any of my friends or family members against considering their products.

      I am rejecting this response because: I filed a complaint six months with Miele after a $30,000 purchase of kitchen appliances through one of their dealers. They replaced my wine fridge after the first one broke within the warranty period. The replacement is already malfunctioning after six months, and they havent answered any of my requests for service. I need them to remedy the issue, as it still pertains to the existing complaint from six months ago that wasnt resolved.

      Deceptive Marketing: Miele Rebate Offer I recently purchased $5,000 in value of a ventless Energy Star rated Miele ************** set from AppliancesConnection- which participates in Miele's rebate program. The qualifying items I purchased promised a $300 rebate in form of a prepaid MasterCard. The first red flag was a moving target expiration of offer date- which I see has already been extended by Miele. Upon receipt of the W/D I followed instructions to "prequalify" for the Rebate by registering the serial numbers & proceeded as directed to complete the same information along with proof of purchase in the rebate claim form. I then received an email that the serial numbers did not match my pre-qual form. To remedy this I was instructed to send photos of the serial number printed onto the W/D. After this was completed, the following day another email notification was sent - informing me that the rebate could not be processed as the invoice does not show paid in full. After speaking with a Miele rebate agent- they confirmed credit card purchases must be paid to zero to qualify for the rebate & that the deadline to complete processing is 30 days from date of purchase. Nowhere on AppliancesConnection's site states this. As a homeowner renovating a historic home in order to cashflow upfront purchases ahead of processing with a Homestyle loan - I hold an A/C card which offers 0% financing -in this case 0% APR/ 12 months.Obviously a purchase of $5k with a $300 rebate is a proportionately small amount- less than equivalent to *** Sales Tax. My complaint is that the rebate terms are not clearly stated and are misleading. I'm fortunate that the financing structure of my renovation loan would allow me to pay down the balance within 60 days. At very least Miele should be clear & transparent with the Rebate terms- and reasonably offer a longer period than 30 days. Given the purchase is also for Energy Star products - this rebate offer is deceptive to consumers.

      We purchased 3 Miele appliances is February 2021. The range alone cost $13,000. The refrigerator was $9,300. So it's been about 2 years and the oven in the range doesn't work at all--won't even turn on. We have been told that 3 circuit boards need to be replaced at a cost of $3,500. When the range was brand new, one of the burners didn't turn on. Because we didn't have it installed by a "certified Miele technician", we were told the repair wouldn't be covered by the warranty.The refrigerator ice maker doesn't work and the freezer light also doesn't work.Whatever you do--do not buy Miele appliances. The customer service people are surly and completely unhelpful. They just keep repeating the same company line over and over again and say nothing is covered. I can't believe they are even still in business. Look them up. They have a abysmal reviews. Again, whatever you do, do not purchase anything with the Miele brand on it. Please feel free to contact me if you want any more information.

      I purchased a new cooktop stove in Oct 2021. The unit was not installed until Jan 2023 by our contractor. We had problem with the unit right away but waited for our contractor to come back and make sure they installed it correctly. The unit made the bottom of our pots and pans black and the flame was very orange. We were told to contact Miele by our contractor. I contacted Miele on 3/21/22 about the problem. I was told by Miele that their contractor, Happy Home Appliance (***) would service the unit. We showed *** the black pots and pans and the large orange flames but the Tech from *** told ** the was nothing wrong with the unit. We complained to Miele and they sent the tech from *** back out to replace the regulator. The *** tech didnt know how to replace the regulator and was reading the instructions at our house then calling for help. He couldnt get the regulator repaired and had to cut brackets in the unit -we did not seem correct. After he completed the repair the unit smelled like gas and we had to shut it down for a week until they came back out to retighten the fittings. Since then the unit has not been correct and we contacted Miele again on 4/10/23. Miele told ** they only have *** to service the unit and that it was out of warranty. They want ** to pay *** for service. I feel this has been an ongoing problem and they should replace or send someone ekes to repair the unit under warranty

      Our family has a Miele coffee maker. It worked for approximately one year. The first time it broke, we got a message, saying to fill the coffee bean container, ( it was full ) After a run around with a Miele representative, and some troubleshooting, it was decided we needed to send the machine in for repair. Now we need to wait for them to send us a box for us to box it, and mail it, and for them to receive it. It took over a month for the coffee maker to come back. At that point, we try to make coffee and got a new error message . This time, the message was to replace the drip tray and waste container. (The drip tray and waste containers were replaced, countless times) but the coffee maker still wouldnt workat all. No coffee. This is when we began the process to return the coffee maker a second time to Miele, but what I found out is, Miele isnt doing the repairs some secondary repair company is the one doing the repairs. I dont estimate that they ever check to see if Coffee can be made prior to sending it back to the customer. When we received our coffee maker the second time, it was yet again, not working. This time, coffee wont come out of the spigots. It cancels all of the drinks after failed attempts at grinding and never makes a coffee. Miele customer service , yet again, is telling me they cant replace the coffee maker until a service person determines its irreparable(!%#^*!) so once again, we will box it up, and send our premiere product away for another service and another month of no coffee. I would warn anyone off of Miele products at this point if I could give them less than one star, I would. This isnt customer service, its a headache that never ends.This is a coffeemaker that cost close to 2k! There has never been an offer to replace or send a fill in machine to us.       I had a problem with my Speed oven because from time to time when we use the microwave it would spark . Apparently some of the metal inside was defective and created this spark We called Miele for a service Technician ****** came and said that some parts have to be replaced. It would cost about $500 and mostly tor labor to remove things to get to the defective part. After the repair he said that it took more time and now it would cost $600. After he put it back together, the spark went away but the microwave started making humming sound as if something was loose inside . We called him back and he tried to figure out what it was. When he opened it I saw a piece of tape that he put inside the machine that he thought was going to help fix the machine. He removed it . He tried to do something but could not make the humming noise go away We called Miele again to have a different technician come out and re assess whats wrong with the machine. Technician ****** came out and he wondered why technician ****** took the machine apart. According to technician ******, the part could have been replaced in a very simple manner requiring a special tool that he has. At that time I really felt that ****** had OVERCHARGE us for the repair . ****** could not fix the problem because it seemed that the humming noise is coming from inside the unit that ****** had taken apart. The microwave is still making a humming noise and Miele is refusing to come back because according to ****** s last visit its not something that can be fixed. I request Miele to replace my speed oven that they damaged. No one from Mieles customer service can be reached. I have tried calling several times but I only got bounced around from one department to another Here are all the numbers I have tried calling ************* ************ Miele accounting ************ ****** cell ************ Ovidiu cell ************ This issue has been going on since Sept 2022 Thank you Peter415-297-5185 Original BBB complaint #******** was closed, the matter has not been resolved Last visit 3/17/2023 Technician opened the unit and found missing parts !!! This is a confirmation that the unit was not properly put together after the last visit. Parts have been ordered and awaiting Tech to return and install. (note if the unit still humms and rattle, i request to have the unit replaced by Miele)

      I purchased a Miele Combi Steam Oven. The steam function stopped working in November 2022. The oven is no longer covered under warranty. Miele referred me to a local third party authorized to work on Miele appliances. That company took 2 months and charged me $580 to attempt to fix the oven. It is still not fixed and they will not come back to try anymore, nor refund my money. I contacted Miele to schedule a Miele tech to come fix the oven, even if I needed to wait longer and they weren't local. Miele said I needed to follow policy to find a local repairman. I have called every local appliance repair company, and NOBODY else is authorized to work on a Miele (and Miele knows this when they are telling me to find someone). I asked them what's the next policy to follow and they said they don't have one. It is now March 2023 and Miele said I need to just wait for a local company to get certified to fix Miele appliances because they cannot help since my appliance is not under warranty. They said to keep calling back every 15 days and maybe a new company gets certified. Buyers should be aware that Miele appliances are not serviced by most companies and if it breaks and there isn't a local authorized repair company, your $9000 Miele oven is unrepairable. And if you aren't under warranty anymore, Miele does not help you.

      On 1/14/22 we had to replace the full control panel of our Miele induction stove and paid over $1300. Today (3/20/23) we are having the same issues with the stove and Miele will not take responsibility for the reoccurring problem nor will accept to take in my complaint. All we are asking is for Miele to pay for the faulty stove! We should not have to pay $1300 every year for the same issue!

      Exorbitant repairs on an aging Miele washing machine. In 2008 I paid approx. $1,800 on a large Miele front load washing machine (W4800) and pedestal. Salesperson stated unit to last 20+ years (as did Miele in the early years when I bought it). Last week a respected repair company analyzed my machine and determined that the cost for repair to be $2,226.08; including $1,673.12 in various parts. Miele had recommended this company to me in 2012 when I had repair work performed on the unit. This repair company's BBB rating is A-; what is Miele's? It is my opinion that this unit should not have so many things wrong with it even at age 15. Miele no longer manufactures the large sized washing machines; so if I were to purchase another unit I would have to buy one of Miele's smaller unit along with a new pedestal. Efforts to communicate with Miele in writing results in automated responses or pattern letters. It is my belief that a "high end" company should also offer "high end" customer service. I need a new washing machine and I think that Miele should offer a good will gesture with some **** of ****** applied to a new unit. Unable to upload the estimate; but can forward Mid America's email upon request. Miele has an itemized recap of the bill I sent them..

      Purchased a Miele microwave. The microwave had electrical issues which we tried reporting to Miele. Miele was non-responsive for months. Once we did receive a response and they connected us with a technician, the technician found that the microwave was broken due to manufacturing defect. Miele refused to accept responsibility. They requested I submit a report from the technician. We submitted the report. Miele never even responded to the submitted report. We again contacted them and were told to be patient. We have yet to receive a response from Miele. The problems we experienced were proven to be manufacturing defects which cost $1,500 to repair after owning the microwave for 1 year. The repair took 10 months to complete. The technician proved the damage was due to manufacturing defects and suggested that Miele replace the microwave or comp the cost of repairs. Miele has ignored all communication and refused to address the problem. As a customer purchasing a high end appliance, we have found the whole issue disgusting. We consider Miele to be a dishonest company with little respect for their customers. We have made considerable effort to encourage all potential customers not to consider Miele appliances because of our experience. We have no choice but to view Miele appliances as poorly made, over priced, and under performing. The company itself is completely dishonest.
