On April 12, 2022, I went to Quest Diagnostics and provided them with my new insurance card, which covers lab work at %100. They still proceeded to bill the incorrect insurance. When I reached out to there new third-party billing company, they happily updated the insurance but never rebilled the corrected insurance. They are now threatening to send me to collections. This is not the first issue I have had with them. There is another from September of 2021 that was also never resolved.Initial Complaint

Infusion nurse arrive for specimen drop off. Specimen has already been drawn in the home by Mercy Home infusion nurse. Agreement with ************************ where nurse does not have to wait behind patients waiting for a lab draw. Nurse reports waiting 40 min for a 15 second transaction. The Quest tech who was not wearing a badge to identify her was rude and closed the door on her when she tried to ask questions. The location at ****************** in STL has been an ongoing issue with nurse drop off. This is not the first time. I have attempted to resolve this with Mercy since the business arrangement with Mercy and Quest without success and was told to go straight to Quest. The location has also been closing earlier and is now shutting down at 3p Central time. The nurse also observed 2 patients at this location who left without receiving services due to the time they were waiting and being taken out of order without an appointment. The patients were vocal to those in the waiting room because of their frustrations.Initial Complaint

This is CRAZY On 9/6/22 I went to Quest Diagnostics located on ************** in *************************************. the girl that **** my ************* was ******. I pacifically told her that the orders were from 2 different DOCTORS, I handed her both orders, she typed the info, **** my blood, took my urine. On the 8th/9th I received an email, that my labs were available. I opened the email logged into quest & noticed that ONLY 1 doctor **** were there. I started contacting Quest Diagnostic all day from 9/9/22-9/15/22. I am constantly getting the runaround telling me that someone is going to call me back no one NEVER does. I constantly ask for a supervisor, I have yet spoke to a supervisor. they always give me some one like a supervisor but is not directly a supervisor. they have checked to see if the orders were combined and I'm told they were NOT by multiple people. I have asked them to contact ******* at that location, ask her what did she do with those papers, they said that location holds paperwork for 2 weeks. I told them on the 14th that I had a Dr's *********** 6 hours away & that if my Dr didn't have my labs I would not receive my medication, I spoke to ***** she took my information she said that a supervisor was going to call me at the end of the day. till this day no one has called me,the labs are MISSING,no one can tell me where they are. on 9/15/22 I called the IT department, customer **********************, contact us link, I was forwarded to another department, no one knows anything. labs by one doctor was done by Quest, the labs for the other DR was sourced out to a 3rd party, they have no idea who they sourced it out to. The doctor nor I have a copy of the results. I spoke to **** on 9/15/22 she gave me a reference number which is ****** she told me someone was going to call me at the end of the day, no one still has called me back. this is bad business, bad practice, I want my results. I should be told firsthand when my information is placed in another lab's handInitial Complaint

I was originally billed for was $377.11. I then enrolled in a payment plan, and got an email stating A payment plan was established on 6/7/2022 for account ******-******* in the amount of $75.43 per month. Your first payment is due 6/15/2022. The last 4 digits of the credit card used were ****I made the following payments:June 16th, $75.43- remaining balance $301.68 July 16th, $75.43 - remaining balance, $226.25 August 10th, $226.25- remaining balance, $0.00 On August 10th, I decided to pay off the remaining $226.25. However, on August 16th, I was auto-charged $75.43, even after I paid off the remaining balance of $226.25 online. That is why I am seeking a refund of $75.43. I called Quest Diagnostics on August 16th, the day my card was wrongly charged. I was told I would receive a refund check in the mail in 2 weeks. I then called again in early September, as I had not received a check yet. I was then told the refund was processing and to call back on September 16th. I called again on September 16th and got in touch with a supervisor. I was told to email all the charges on my end, and then I received a reply saying the system was down and that my account could not be checked yet. This has already been over one month of me trying to get my refund. I also read the terms of services, which states refunds will be sent to the credit card that was charged, so I dont know why the phone agents keep insisting on sending me a check in the mail. Companies are quick to wrongly charge my credit card with my hard earned money, but not quick to return it back! I would appreciate that the matter concerning my refund be resolved quickly, as I have already been patiently waiting for over a month! These predatory medical companies should be ashamed of themselves, targeting hard working individuals.Initial Complaint

I'm on ** ********* I can't work, and am on disability. Quest keeps harassing me, asking for payment, and threatening COLLECTION AGENCY. Quest shouldn't accept ** ********* if they aren't going to wait for payment!! I have told Quest, not to render any services until account is paid in FULL!! I haven't asked for Quest to do any services for me! I filled out a form, totally marking out the part saying, I would pay for any services not covered by ** ********** My pain management physician isn't supposed to be able to order any services not totally covered by ** ********* nor do I have income to pay for any services not covered by that!!! I've sent them several letters, that they ignore, threatening collection agency! WTF??? I've had this same situation happen for 3 years now! I feel I'm being harassed, and will consider taking legal action from an attorney that only get's paid when they get a settlement. This is total BS, Quest has been paid every time, they just have to wait, instead of harassing me!! If Quest can't wait, they need to quit accepting ** ********* and refuse to process any testing associated with them!!Initial Complaint

Back in June I received a bill from Quest Diagnostics that I should not have received. I go to the ************************ for people who have low income and no insurance. The clinic sent me to get blood work done and they were supposed to receive the bill. The bill came to me so I called the clinic and they said they would take care of it. I received another bill from Quest so I started to freak out thinking that I needed to pay the bill. It was over $700.00 and I cannot pay that. I went online and was going to make a payment. The lowest payment they would take is $****** so I had no choice but to pay that. I called after I submitted the payment to see if they had a financial assistance and was told that I already had financial aid, I was approved for 100% and that I didn't need to do anything. So I asked for a refund of the money I had just gave them online (I could not afford ****** then, and cannot afford it now) I was told to call back because they weren't able to see it yet and I needed to give it time to be posted. I called back a few days later and spoke to a supervisor by the name of *****. She told me that she would submit a request for a refund, but acted like I wasn't going to get it back. I explained to her that I shouldn't have paid it in the first place and wouldn't have if I had been properly communicated with or if they had billed the proper person. That didn't seem to matter. She said if it was approved I would get a check in the mail, but that it would *********** weeks, I have yet to receive that check. I would like the $****** back that I shouldn't have paid. They should have never accepted the money, and when they were told of the error they should have given it back. They received ALL of the money from the community clinic. At this point, they are stealing from me.Initial Complaint

This is regarding an outstanding bill. I cannot reach to these people to discuss the issue. I have spent more than two hours just today and kept being transferred from one person to the other until the line dropped. This is not the first time this is happening. Their customer ********************** is absolutely hideous. They need to resubmit the bills to ******** but again no human being is answering the call. I sent two e-mails to their contact e-mail information. Again, there is no answer.Initial Complaint

They refuse to let me verify my son's account! he's sick and unable to get tested because Quest says I need power of attorney! I don't have money for a lawyer and I will not take away ALL my child's rights with power or attorney because Quest wants that for a stupid testing! They are awful and discriminate against people with special needs!Initial Complaint

I received a bill from them, when I contacted them they somehow didnt have the correct insurance information, I corrected it and was told to wait 30 days for them to file a claim. I got another bill, contacted them again and was told yet again to wait for them to file the claim. Today I received a final notice. Contacted my insurance and confirmed quest has never filed a claim with them for the services. This has been going on for five months, how difficult is it to just file the claim instead of demanding ridiculous amounts of money from people. Avoid this organization, they do not care about their customers.
