I purchased a refrigerator from Lowes in *******, ** on 7/16/2023 and they had Spirit delivery it on 8/3/2023. While bringing the fridge in they hand truck hit the door k**** and facing of my front door and my kitchen door damaging both. I have sent photos to both Lowes and Spirit. The claim was filed 8/7/2023 and I received the notice. I had not heard from Spirit so on 8/24/2023 I went back to Lowes, they helped me contact Spirit. I was told by Spirit that I would hear from them within a week. I have not heard from Spirit. I am asking for $650 to have the 2 doors repaired.Business Response

We purchased a dryer from ****** in November, 2022. In March, 2023 the dryer caught fire and it was discovered by *************** that the installers, Spirit Logisitics had installed the dryer incorrectly. This caused the dryer to burn and all of my electric to burn up. We spent ****** for the dryer itself and the damages to my electric cost *******. After turning in a claim to this company we have gotten nothing but the run around. The lady handling the claim, *****************************, said the claim had timed out because she had family issues and didn't have time to submit it. I am not an unsympathetic person, but I do not see that this should be my problem. I have tried for over 3 weeks to contact her and I am getting no response. I need this resolved and I need this resolved quickly. The actions of this companies installers could have burned my house down and they just blow people off like they are unimportant.Business Response

On 2/28/2023 Spirit Logistics delivered appliances I purchased from Lowes. During the delivery my front door frame was damaged. The delivery team took pictures and said someone would be in touch. They did not contact me but when I reached out they told me I needed to get three quotes and submit a form within a certain period. I was unable to get anyone to come out to quote and informed Spirit. They offered a settlement of $150 which I accepted. I signed and returned the release form on 3/31/2023. I have yet to receive payment per the agreement and every time I check I am told "It is with Finance".Business Response

On 6 March 2023, l was expecting a delivery of 4 pallets of topsoil. The technician was directed to take back 4 empty pallets. At 9:19 am the technician bent down and dragged the pallets causing two 10 ft ***** lines. This was caught on my home security camera. I forwarded two videos to **************** ***** **************. She came to take pictures of the damaged driveway on 17 May and said I will be contacted by a woman from their claims office wthin 2 weeks for reimbursement. Spirit Logistics made a a delivery to my property located on Lonesome Pine Drive, ******, ** on 11/14/2022. They did not utilize the driveway they were instructed to utilize and pulled their forklift carrying lumber down a steep drive an onto a logging road on my property. It had recently rained and the drive and road were still very wet. The forklift tore up the logging road and had to be pulled out via winch from a vehicle at the top of the hill. Additional damage was done to the property from both the winch vehicle and the forklift. The damage included ruts, holes and depressions up to 10" in depth on the logging road and driveway. I submitted a claim to Spirit Logistics and they advised the damage was not their legal responsibility. I have attempted to contact them 12 times by phone over the past 2 months leaving voicemails and they do not even have the decency to return my calls. They damaged my property and are not taking responsibility to fix the issue.Business Response

Unfortunately, the account of damage you sent via photos does not show any major impairment, which is why the claim was denied. The logging road is a dirt road and is utilized by many, along with weather and other contributing factors, this can cause ruts, holes, etc.Customer Answer

I am rejecting this response because:
Just to be very clear there was significant damage to both my driveway and the logging road both of which were being prepared to be graveled. The resulting damaged caused accelerated erosion and thought it might be difficult to see in the photos the damage was significant. Additionally, the damage delayed my plans to gravel the roads and resulted in the additional costs of fill dirt and regrading to get the surfaces back to the condition the surfaces were in prior to Spirit causing damage. The driveway and logging road were not being used for vehicular traffic so the argument put forward in the response does not apply here.There was clear damage to my property as a result of poor judgment by the driver to take his forklift down when the drive and logging road were very wet. He was supposed to make the delivery on the paved driveway next door. It is only ethical that if a company damages your property they either fix or reimburse the damage. ************ is responsible for reimbursing me for the damage their incompetent delivery driver caused. I herby reject this response and request that they reimburse me for the property damage.

On January 26 of 2023 I placed an order for kitchen cabinets totaling $1,114.80. The cabinets were scheduled to arrive on 1/27/23 between 12:00PM and 4:00PM. When the delivery truck arrived, I saw it coming up my drive which is a quarter of a mile long, so I walked out to meet them. The driver of the delivery truck stopped his truck in front of my garage as I walked up to him to tell him he could turn around further up my driveway in my neighbors yard. There was a car following the delivery truck which stopped next to me when the truck started to move forward. The driver of the car pulled up next to me and started to speak to me but stopped and started yelling at the truck driver to stop. I looked up and saw the driver hit the top right-side overhang of my carport which is eleven foot six inches up from the asphalt. As soon as the truck hit the carport, the driver of the car jumped out of the car and said if you have a ladder we can fix it, to which I replied, you cant straighten that out, its mashed to the frame. It was obvious the person in the car did not want an accident claim. They then off loaded my cabinets and one of them was damaged as well. One of the people on the truck took a picture of the broken Cabinet and told me Lowes would replace it. As soon as they left, I called Lowes on ***** highway and told them what had happened. The person at Lowes Told me to bring the cabinet to Lowes and they would replace it, which they did. They told me that I would have to file a clam with Spirit, and they would pay for the damage they had done. I then contacted their local claims representative ******************* who told me she needed pictures and to bid for repair. It took me at least twenty phone calls and a half a dozen no shows from contractor before I could even get two bids. No one wanted to make the repairs due to metal availability and color match. I even sent their rep a second e-mail explaining why it was taking me so long to get a quote. Good morning, I just wanted to keep you informed for the record, that I have contacted eleven different companies trying to get an estimate on my carport. No one seems to do repairs on carports it seems. I received a letter stating that if you didn't hear anything from me within 30 days you would presume that I am not pursuing the claim. Just wanted you to be aware that I am pursuing this claim and have every intention of having my carport repaired. On March 24th. I sent the Spirit Claims person the two quotes as she had requested. At this time she told me it would take approximately 10 day for review. Yesterday 4/6/2023 I received this response.I have spoken with the contractor and the manager regarding your claim. The claim has been denied; reason provided was preexisting damage. With that said, the contractor is not stating the driver did not touch the carport with the truck, but he is stating the most extensive part of the damage was already there. He did ask me to offer a $100 inconvenience reimbursement. If that is something you are interested in receiving, please confirm via this email thread, and I can send the approval for the $100 to corporate. But the total damages claim has been denied. The following was my response to *****. *****, There was no preexisting damage. I have two neighbors who drive up my driveway every day to get to their houses who can attest to that. Your driver even turned around in their driveway after he hit my carport .When your driver came here he was followed by another person in a car who I walked up to as they were coming in . The guy in the car started yelling stop at the fellow who was driving the truck because he saw he was going to hit my car port. The person in the car wanted to get a ladder and try to straighten it. He didn't want me to turn in a clam. Seems funny you say there was pre-existing damage a month later, after I finally got two quotes. No I do not want your $100.00. I will contact my lawyer and see how he wants me to proceed with Spirit as well as Lowes. I will also contact ***** and make them aware of my intentions. I can assure you I will make public my issue with Spirit as well as Lowes if my carport is not repaired. I contacted ***** who basicly told me I had to deal with Spirit. They wanted to get a ladder and try to streighten the damage they had done because they did not want a claim, does that tell you anything? Then they waited a month to tell me they thought there was pre-existing damage. It's quite obvious to me how this company operates.Business Response

Unfortunately, the delivery team took photographs at the time of the delivery/accident. Looking at the pictures, it appears difficult for the damage that occurred to cause what is there. This is why the claim was denied. That kind of damage had to be from a pre-existing incident.Customer Answer

I am rejecting this response because: I also took pictures the same day. Funny that the damage was exactly the same hight as their truck 11'3" and they say it couldn't have happened. They even admitted they did damage it in a email I received. Why did the person following the truck ask for a ladder to repair the damage if he didn't do it. As stated there are two other families who use this driveway every day who can attest that there was no damage. Also they do not own a 11' tall truck and neither do I. This damage was done by your truck, I stood there and watched him hit my carport while the guy in the car was yelling stop, stop,

I am rejecting this response because: Your statement is not true, there was NO Damage to my carport. As I have told you more than once I can provide you two neighbors who will attest to that. You know good and well if there was previous damage it would not be in exactly the same spot as the top of your truck, over 11' from the pavement. You also know your person would not have asked for a ladder to try to bend the metal back out. No company does that. There was no doubt he did not want Me to make a claim. In addition why did you wait over a month, and until after I provided you with the quotes you requested to deny my claim. Evedently you did not investigate this accident until a month after it happened, or you thought it would be a cheap fix. My carport needs to be repaired and you need to accept responsibility for the damage your company did.

Stove was installed incorrectly. It fried the electrical components. New stove purchased. Finally got them to approve the claim. I have been waiting since October 2022 to get the money. I called in January. I was told they are backlogged. I called in April. I was told they are still backlogged. It has been approved and it doesnt take 6 months to cut a check. I am paying interest on my credit card waiting for someone to cut a check and send. I had a washer and dryer delivered from ****** and spirit logistics was the 3rd party delivery service. The delivery men broke my internet line in half, almost knocked the light pole down, now it leans really bad. They messed my yard up because they couldn't back their truck up, Scratched my door frame (that I'd just painted). Then acted like they didn't want to hook my washer and dryer up, and when they did hook it up, it wasn't done right. The vent hose for the dryer wasn't hooked up properly and the washing machine hoses weren't even tightened.Business Response

We had our washer/dryer delivered by this company in December of 2022. During installation, the delivery men ran a test on the washer after installation and immediately left. My laundry room is on the 2nd floor of my home and I could hear a large amount of water running coming from the room. Upon entering the room, I found 2 inches of water on the floor. I managed to turn the water off and found that the drainage hose was not placed and still taped to the machine. I was unable to move the machine due to its heavy weight. Then I heard water in my living room directly underneath me. I went downstairs to find a waterfall in my living room coming from my ceiling and water raining down on my Christmas tree, presents, toys, couch, and many other things. I managed to flag down the driver before they could pull off. They moved the machine but offered no assistance on clean up nor did they offer any information for a supervisor. Upon further investigation I found that they left shipping hardware on the machine thats required to be removed before use. I was not offered any refunds. And I was directed to their insurance claim person who required us to provide 2 estimates for all damages. We submitted the documents as requested and have not heard back from them in over a month. We have repeatedly called them to follow up on this and they have not returned our phone calls or given us any kind of updates. We have thousands of dollars worth of damages in our home and they are not responding. The damages also impacted the electrical throughout our downstairs.Business Response
