This customers account was terminated in January after going to doubtful. We called in November when his delivery was made. We offered a lower payment for his delivery. He said for us to just come and pick up his tank and that he was looking for other service providers. We gave him credit for the gallons that were in his tank, the gallons delivered in November, but charged a pick up fee and re-stock fee, which we are within our rights to charge.  Customer could have used the ******************** in the tank to avoid some of these fees..

Filled my tank without authorization or notication at 4.99 a gallon. Offered a discount of 4.49 a gallon. Which was still higher by at least a dollar a gallon of what I had been previously paying. Again predatory and malicious practices.

My boyfriend is a disabled vet with 2 young children in the house. We live in otsego mi. Paid for an emergency fill 4 days ago (a Saturday). Right before record low temps and storms. He was told by the driver that he didn't feel like going and to turn down his heat and call back Monday. He called Monday and was told either today or tomorrow. No one cared about the lazy driver. We are about to run out now with the temp being in the negatives and they say it's coming tomorrow and there is nothing more they can do. They don't even have any compassion for the situation they caused and got mad that we were upset! And that was the manager! I have never seen such poor business management in my entire life. How is this legal????

This is account is actually with ******** ***** who uses very foul language when speaking with our employees. He called in on a Saturday at 10% and talked to our driver. Our driver told him he should be fine till his delivery day but if he ran out call back. We received multiple irate calls from Mr. ***** on Tuesday afternoon demanding us to come out there at that moment.
We let Mr. ***** that do to the winter storm, visibility and Safety for our Drivers we were not sending anyone out till Morning. Mr. ***** was close to the first stop the next day and he was still at 5% and admitted to our driver that he knew he would be fine but just wanted someone out there. Our driver confirmed that the furnace was running and it was warm inside.

We have been waiting for propane for nearly 2 weeks. Weve been out of propane that entire time. They have promised deliveries on 3 different occasions and no one has shown up. They told us a tech would be out to inspect. They even told us the they confirmed the tech came out. Our 365 cameras around the house determined that was a lie. Were lucky we have 2 stage heating but how long can they operate like this?!

Very unhappy with Suburban Propane if you asked to have a delivery before your delivery date due to possible running out of propane they charge you an extra $195.00 dollars to get your propane delivered. I would not recommend Suburban to anyone.. it seems like their rates are continually are raised without customers being notified. When you ask to get a general idea of when they will deliver your propane they tell you that there is no way to tell you. Another example of poor customer service is we could not get our pilot light to light and they wanted to charge us to have someone come out to light it. I would not recommend Suburban to anyone.

Customer is a Will **** customer and they are required to call 14 days ahead for a delivery. This customer called in the same day and needed an emergency delivery because their tank was low. We set up that delivery at 9:21am and the delivery was performed at 12:20pm the same day.
There is an emergency fee of $195.00 for any emergency delivery that is not scheduled. Our cost of propane has increased substantially in the last few months. We cannot absorb these cost so the price per gallon must follow. Due to the volume of deliveries that needs to be accomplished it is very hard to tell the customer when that driver will be arriving. So we let the driver call the customer when that driver is on their way.

This customer was low but not ********** so we did not need to relight their pilots.

Suburban Propane, ***********, **. Poor customer service, *** ****, ******** Potrero. Inconsistent statements, urgent emails ignored, failure to deliver on date stated, installed a tank gauge which was not functional, damaged property. Did not follow safety protocols for ********** NF and Pine ************** Per retired fire captain, "Delivery at 5% during winter months places the customer at high risk." I document calls, emails and photograph our property and gauge daily. I have been in Safety Meetings this week and we are in agreement on the failure of agents to perform due diligence. Regional *** can reach me through my account. No phone calls will be accepted.

The initial set up emails shows that ****** stated that ***** checked and said their fence and box around the tank would not need to be removed, and that our crane should be able to replace the Amerigas tank with our tank. We confirmed the appointment and when our tech showed up, we could not remove the tank as it was too heavy for the distance our crane had to extend. We asked them to get the tank lower, around 10%, and we would come back to swap the tanks. Thats when ****** started yelling at us, saying she has a signed agreement saying we would get this job done. We assured her we would get this taken care of as soon as her tank was around 10%. She stated to me that she offered to have the fence and box around the tank removed prior to installation, we said no. This is not true and is documented by email. When we arrived for the second time, her tank was around 7%. We successfully swapped out the Amerigas tank with our empty tank. I also brought a bobtail and filled the tank immediately after we installed our tank. Thats when we discovered the gauge wasnt working. We told ***** that we would be back in a few days to replace the gauge and that they should be good to go with a full tank of gas. This was on a Friday. The following Monday, she emailed, asking what time we would be there since we said wed be back in three days. I responded and said we did not say 3 days, but in a few days. This is when she said she was done with us and filing a BBB complaint. We did replace the gauge on the following Friday, one week from the date of installation, so that has been resolved.

We did advise them, as we do all of our Will **** customers, to call in an order around 30% in the winter months to give us time to schedule a deliver over the next 2 weeks. We never mentioned anything about 5%.

I have a propane tankninuse for heating during the cold months. I had my 2nd fill yesterday and when I saw the bill I thought this is crazy $6.27 a gallon. Then they add several fees and then tax you twice those fees and taxes total over $40. So 42.8 gals cost ******. There is something wrong here because I called of curse after hours but the lady in spoke with all but flat out said because you only use there service for a few fills a year we charge you more. I looked up the average price of propanenin NC high end is $3.38. Today we await a call to see how they explain over charging a customerBeware if you sign up ask allot of questions

As a courtesy, we will adjust the rate of the recent delivery. Customer was also offered to enter our Pre-Buy Program in June/July as means of price protection. She was extremely nice and thankful. Customer satisfied.

I bought a home in this s*** hole lake community in **********************. The home had a rental propane tank that was passed over from the previous owners. After settlement this company decided it was ok to send me a bill for the propane in the tank to pay for it a second time. The lake ***** community is going broke because the *** constantly raises prices so now the members sit and rip off new customers to survive.

We have called and left a voicemail for a return call from the customer to gain some more context to the issue at hand. It appears the issue is more so with the *** in *************** and less to do with Suburban Propane. The customer actually received credits minus $33.38 for the latest delivery.  We will continue to reach out to Mr. ***** and gain clarity.

We 100% confirmed that the delivery was made.  We have GPS tracking to show that our delivery truck was there and made the delivery.  We can also prove how many gallons were offloaded at that time frame.  This customer has called our offices and has been very rude to our employees.

Been a customer for 3 years, we have been on the monthly budget plan. It started at $185 a month, we recently ran out of propane (they are always making excuses not to make deliveries, e.g dog outside, too much snow, etc. so we have to call frequently to make sure they will make a delivery) and so we had to have an emergency delivery at midnight, they told us we were required to do a FULL fill so we did, then the next day they made another delivery without our knowledge and charged us another $150. Just last month, our account was showing an owed amount of $506, they said this was a settle up fee (which we have never had to pay before) and if we didnt pay it, we would be taken off the monthly budget plan. We paid it to avoid our services being canceled because they conveniently (for them) charged us this now when its 15 degrees outside. Now our monthly budget plan is up to $330 a month. Theyre crazy if they think well be paying that all year especially in the summer months. Will definitely be switching companies.

There was a charge from 10/28, which was billed in error on our part, which we credited back.  Customer ran out of gas on 10/27 and we responded that night, no additional fees applied.  As a further courtesy, we will rebill the deliveries from 10/27 and 12/11,at a savings of $1.00/gallon less of their rate, at that time.
