      Bought a house remotely because we were overseas (military) and the workmanship is horrible. All the tile on the floor, backsplashes, bathrooms, etc. are unlevel with uneven grout lines. The baseboards are sloppy, crooked, and there is caulk all over the place. The garage doors are flimsy and let alot of dirt and bugs in. Everything seems low quality for the price we paid...There are so many awful things I can't list them all. Hakes Brothers refuses to help because the house is past the one year warranty period. Hindsight is 20/20. Steer clear of Hakes Brothers.

      I just closed on my new house on April 29th and everything had to of been tested and make sure theirs no leaks no where well ******** since the end of may we noticed water coming out outside of our west shower and put in a claim issue its been 2 **** weeks and they still cant get this **** resolved but yet when they want to sell a house their they are all nice and sweet. ******** as **** people its my second home with Hakes and issues still dnt stop, will be the **** last I dnt recommend them to no one!!!

      Found out that their warranty offer is not truly supported. My tile had a known issue of not adhering to the floor properly. I had to call them about the issue even though they knew that 200 homes had this issue. Why couldn't they contact us with the problem? Initially, they responded with with a 20K offer, then they offered us close to 7K. I have not gotten close to that amount with any contractor to fix this issue. I need close to 5K additionally to get my tile fixed and the company is not willing to assist the homeowners. So I have a garage full of new tile, grout, and thin set that will sit till I can get the additional funds to get the tile replaced. This should have been the responsibility of the builder and their warranty. I am a veteran who thought I would be getting a great home and now I have a lemon house that I cannot get fixed. I would recommend anyone who is thinking of purchasing a Hakes Brothers house to reconsider. And as veterans would let other veterans know to go elsewhere.

      Horrible customer service when it comes to house warranty repairs. I've made so many attempts to contact the personnel incharge of warranty repairs they can't even return my calls or emails. It's been a month going on two and they have yet to complete the repairs. Poorly built homes way overpriced.

      The installation of the furnace was completely messed up during the building process for my house. Hakes Brothers hired a cheap company to install a high efficiency furnace and they seriously forgot to include the plumbing and/or didn't communicate with the plumbers to add the plumbing that is needed for a high efficiency furnace. As a result, my furnace as well as the bracket holding it in place are both completely rusted out already and look so much worse than what a brand new 1 year old furnace should look like at this point. After calling another A/C company to come out and do a diagnostics check, they told me the installation was so done so poorly that if they left a job looking like that they would consider switching fields. That's how amateur and pathetic the installation was done by the company Hakes Brothers hired. After contacting Hakes Brothers and informing them of what happened they refuse to honor the warranty and won't replace the furnace at all. Very disappointed in the customer service and how ********************** treats their clients after they make the sale of the house. They don't care about you after completing the deal.Stay away from Hakes Brothers!

      My husband and I purchased our home in 2020 and since moving in we've had nothing but problems from our ac, water heater, plumbing issues, they had to cut our wall so our refrigerator fit, and the most annoying and frustrating one is our tile. We have complained about our tile since moving in and always got the answer it's fine and they wouldn't do anything till our tile finally popped like fireworks and popped up we made our claim in 2022 and have not recieved anything just an email stating what we would recieve after choosing our tile, we chose our tile come to find out it was the incorrect tile and that they barely submitted our claim 2 months ago that we submitted to hakes last year in nov. we are dealing with not being given what was promised to us and what feels like they just want to wipe their hands clean from. It just ***** our house is a mess I've tripped multiple times my son and daughter have cut themselves and I have almost fallen with my 4 month old, this is ridiculous! We definitely regret purchasing our home with this buisness!!

      Horrible & VERY DISHONEST company to work with...or buy from. ******* is the nicest thing I can say about them. My house has had soooooo many builder problems. That is not the worst of it. There one year warranty is a joke if you try to get it enforced. ***************************** quit setting up all the problems I had to get fixed under the warranty. ********************* was my realtor and did the inspection walk through in my behalf because I was an out of state buyer. He said it passed with NO issues. Total lie. Chunks of concrete out of the patio and no window coverings I paid for in my purchase. Hakes is the worst company I've ever worked with. Run the other way from their homes.

      We purchased a Hakes Brothers home because we found a home with a beautiful view of the Sandia Mountain range...... we were told by sales agents and building superintendents when we were purchasing that all developers worked together to preserve view lots with flat roof homes built next to existing homes. This week HAKES BROTHERS themselves built a home with large column coming out the top of a flat roof home 8 feet from out back wall, this home is sitting 8 feet below us but this huge ugly column is all we see now instead of our beautiful mountain. Buyers beware........ read the fine print in your contract. They are "wonderful" until you sign, we treated them how we thought we would be treated in return. They are all about the next sale, they could have built a flat roof home like others in this neighborhood without this huge column coming out the top but they chose not to, they don't care about existing purchasers. Hakes homes are built by a multitude of contractors that come and go, they don't care of the quality of work and the superintendents aren't experienced enough to stay on top of the quality of workmanship....... I would NEVER recommend a friend or family member purchase a Hakes Home.

      I chose Hakes Brothers, LLC based on the responsiveness and fair price, and it was one of the best decisions I've made in life, considering the amount of money and effort we put in our project. Everyone was fantastic from start to finish. The communication was prompt and always clear, scheduling was flexible, and the project manager did not fail to make us comfortable all the way through. I appreciated his ideas, his attention to detail, and how he ensured all work was up to a high standard. We would definitely recommend Hakes Brothers, LLC.

      We engaged them to build our house and we were rewarded with a responsive and responsible team. Quality build is great, high-end finishing, fast and efficient, and most importantly, on time and on budget. Everything is exactly how we envisioned it, and thanks to Hakes Brothers, our dream house is complete. If you're looking for quality construction with good value, go try them out. They are easy to work with, have great family values, and have a tightly-knit team. Definitely reliable!
