  Hi my name is ************************* and my address is ***************************************************************** I purchased a home in 2017 and the home is all reddy falling apart the construction of the home is very poor quality and I am having a lot of problems it is very sad I need help bud I do not get any response from Hakes Brothers

  I have had a problem with the tile they used across my home since August of 2022. According to Hakes Brothers, the fault is on ***** Tile. However, I have constantly reached out to Hakes Brothers for an update on my home and the customer service has been poor. I have to be on them in order to receive a response from them. The tile throughout my home is coming undone and I've had to remove tile and vacuum or sweep up the debris. My now 1 year old child has almost eaten the rocks and I constantly keep him away from the damaged tile to avoid him getting cut. I just want my home fixed and it seems like no one is willing to help me.

  This home was identified as one of the defective Emser Tile homes. We have communicated to the homeowner that we are waiting for the solution from Emser Tile to address the defective tile. As soon as we receive an update from **********, we have expressed to the homeowner that we will reach out to them with the next steps to address this tile repair. Also, note that the homeowner submitted another warranty request today, and we communicated this information to the homeowner.

  Bought a Hakes house back in late 2016 by now the stucco all around the house is cracked not mention the walls inside are cracked. Some of the electrical outlets dont work some of cabinet doors are broken. And its not only my house I see my neighbors same problems cracked stucco. Buyers beware house looks good but horrible craftsmanship.

  Buyers, I only come here to warn you out of sincerity of not wanting anyone to have to experience what my family and I are currently and have been going through since we closed on our house almost 1 year ago. The people who are hired to build these homes do not build homes correctly and the my familys safety and health have now been compromised. There is mold in our brand new home due to Hakes employees covering up issues cosmetically and not fixing the actual problems. My daughter perhaps has suffered the most out of all us and its heartbreaking as a parent. You build a home, excited for your kids to have a stable place to call their own and instead our home made our baby sick. This is especially sad since it could have been prevented and instead it was neglected. I just caution all of you who might be considering building homes with Hakes Brothers.

  DO NOT BUY HOME BUILDS FROM HAKES BROTHERS!!!! I signed a contract for a brand new home build in the Sunset Valley at the beginning of February 2022. Construction permits were pulled on 3/30/2022 and construction started on 4/4/2022. I watched the entire process of this home being built and many mistakes were caught and made aware to the ******* about said mistakes. I have many screenshots of text sent by the ******* of the items being fixed but ******* was taking pictures of a different home to lie he fixed the issue. The home was not worked on for a month and a half even though Hakes was emailing me of progress being done even though none of it was actually being done. They continuously lied to me and gave me false hope on the home being done by the projected date which was December. Coming into the new year me and my wife thought we would have our home by this month until they called to schedule closing March 13. We asked why we had to wait 3 more months for the home to be completed and never received an answer from our sales rep. **** the number of mistakes in the home and the major delays they had we decided not to wait and terminate our contract. They showed no sympathy and sent over termination contract. I did not sign contract yet as me and my wife were still debating on what to do. I received a text from our sales rep from Hakes practically threatening us to sign the documents or they will automatically terminate the contract themselves. This helped us make a decision not to give them our business. As a licensed electrician I see many sites being built and Hakes Brothers by far has the worst workmanship and the cheapest sub-contractors they can find. Hakes Brothers has very poor customer service. The only pleasant person we dealt with was ****** with the upgrade department. I highly recommend everyone in the ******* area to go with a different home builder as Hakes will just take your money and forget about you.

  I have an entire notebook and hundreds of photos to prove the horrendous workmanship and the faulty repairs done. Hakes is the worst builder I have ever worked with. My house is STILL under repair as the latest fiasco of the tile buckles throughout, since 10/21/2020. I paid for a new home and have not gotten it yet. There have been numerous construction crews replacing doors, framing, windows, and now tile. There have been lights falling from the ceiling after I moved in and ceiling fans not centered in the rooms. If I can see that, why wasn't it noticed by professional quality control employees? I agree with whoever suggested a class action suit... The stress has been unbearable and the only person on their team who has always been there is ****. Thank God for him. He keeps his word and answers my calls. I have not been compensated for any of this, yet I paid in full with faith in the company. Sad to say that I will NEVER recommend them to anyone. The company should be offering a monetary settlement for not delivering a new home without out major defects.

  Buyers beware Hakes Brothers is not good on their word. We bought a home Dec 2019 and in March 2020 the pandemic broke out. Our 6 month and 12 month warranty inspections and repairs were postponed with the promise they would work with us. Its now dec 2022 and we are still fighting with them to be good on their word. Do yourself a favor and dont buy a home from them. So many problems and such a headache.

  I am not one to leave reviews but want to warn you of issues when buying from Hakes ***** Our home was due to be ready in April, we didnt close until June. We saw our house sit for a month with a electrical issue that had to be fixed and had not been touch. In June they were in a hurry to close escrow with things being fixed. Tile was full of dust, stucco needed repair, upgraded pantry door is terrible and still hasnt been replaced, roof tile cracked, damaged panel on garage door. List can go on. Some things have been fixed but not completed yet after living here 4 months. We have never experienced anything like this with two previous new homes in **********. Now found out superintendent quit after not hearing from him for months. My husband called he and he said he doesnt work for Hakes. His boss is supposedly taking over which my husband as left messages for the last two weeks and he has not reached out to us.

  Buyers beware. I dont write reviews typically, but this is something that people need to know. Hakes are great sales people but dont care about you once your contract is signed. I put my $5,000 deposit down on a spec home. It was scheduled to be completed by early August but kept getting pushed out and the last date given was end of October. I totally understand delays but there were many other issues at hand which led me to terminate the agreement. Hakes contracts are one big loophole that leave the buyer exposed and holding the bag. If I was willing to walk away from the $5,000, what does that say about what its like doing business with them? I was willing to just jump back into this crazy housing market just to not deal with them. Buy somewhere else.
