    I attempted to cancel a car rental booked through Allegiant as part of one of their Las Vegas packages more than 24 hours before my trip, as required by their terms. However, the customer service agent advised me to wait until after the reservation, stating it would be easier to process the refund once it showed the rental wasn’t used. I followed that advice in good faith, but was later denied a refund for not canceling within the stated window.
    Despite reaching out multiple times and being told the call would be reviewed, no meaningful resolution has been offered. This experience reflects poor internal communication and misleading customer service that ultimately cost me both time and money.

    We use Allegiant to fly our college aged children back and forth from school and home. There is nothing noteworthy about the airline other than convenience of location. Their customer service, whether in person or through their customer service line/chat, is about as low as it gets. There are confusing rules surrounding refunds and flight changes and when you call to inquire it is nearly a Herculean task to get your questions answered let alone get them answered in a polite way. This airline nickel and dimes its customers and doesn't offer much for it. Jose from the Customer Service chat in particular is rude and uses quotations like he's throwing punches. Customer Service shouldn't be utilized to mock customers. Ever. Allegiant may be conveniently located, but they are hardly worth it in the end. Use with caution.

    BUYER BEWARE - THIS AIRLINE WEBSITE IS DECEPTIVE. I'm pretty good with technology, but somehow I purchased a bonus package. I kept trying to go back and remove it before buying the tickets because I couldn't figure out why the ticket got so expensive, but I couldn't change anything. I couldn't even see the breakdown of charges to see what was making it so much higher. I purchased the tickets thinking it must be all the extra taxes, flight fees etc. Once the tickets were purchased, I got the breakdown, which showed the "bonus package", which was more than the airline tickets! I did a chat with support after, and they said that there was nothing they could do. The bonus package even includes their "flex" which lets you make changes to your flight without a fee, but they still wouldn't let me make the change to not have the bonus. I'm so angry and feel very deceived!!!

    Scam insurance is a scam. They hide the “trip flex” option which actually give you the ability to cancel your trip. The insurance is a scam and this low life company is a scam. The fact the government allows entities like this to exist in commercial flights and scam people is insane.

    I have flown with Allegiant since 2022 - I’ve never truly had a bad experience, yes sometimes the flight gets delayed but it’s usually not by much more than 30 minutes to an hour or two and 9/10 times it’s something out of their control such as weather or maintenance etc . Allegiant staff is always very professional & friendly. They’re always very well presented - (in a full & classy Allegiant uniform). I never thought to leave a review honestly- until today when I realized why do we always leave bad reviews but rarely leave good? Here’s a good one - I had a women named Tea on Flight 600 & flight 621 that went out of her way to make the flight a unique & memorable one I hope Allegiant recognizes and acknowledges her for the rare gem she is !!! Dee & Grant & the other man was also very nice - I’ve been on multiple flights with them as well and can say they’ve always been very polite and accommodating and respectful ?? I’ve flown a lot of holidays and weekends , have the credit card and have honestly never encountered a negative experience! Highly recommend worth it!!

    I recently became an Allegiant cardholder, but to my dismay, I’m treated the same as any other customer. They have a dedicated customer service phone number for card members, so I decided to give them a call today. Unfortunately, the wait time was over an hour, so I left a voicemail requesting a call back. Three hours later, I still hadn’t received a response, so I called again. This time, I waited on hold for over an hour before speaking to a rude customer who didn’t even apologize for my weight. To top it off, they informed me that I couldn’t cancel my flight because it wasn’t within the seven-day window, despite the fact that I couldn’t get a hold of anyone yesterday. It was an awful experience!

    What a scam! Allegiant Air claims they have cheap flights and yes, sometimes they do. However, recently, I was in the middle of booking one of those flights and Allegiant's booking system just decided to raise the rates of those flights from $50 each way per person to $300 each way per person. I had already filled out our names and chosen our seats and all I had to do was confirm baggage. I tried calling customer service and kept getting hung up on and never was able to speak to anyone. I finally texted them and had to wait 20 minutes for one of their reps to basically tell me that its a race to the finish line. If I don't book quick enough, someone else can steal that rate and those rates are only available on a handful of seats. The flight that I was booking with them is now more expensive than to fly with a major airline like American or Delta. It's absolutely false advertising and the poorest of customer service. Honestly, this is why I NEVER use these types of airlines. It may be cheaper in some instances but you always pay for it later. As I led with, its such a scam and takes advantage of normal everyday working american's just trying to go away for a vacation or see a loved one. Just read the reviews here...such horrible circumstances this airline has put people in. Makes my issue seem like nothing. Shame on you, Allegiant!

    I tried to cancel a flight for allegiant 5 months before the flight was scheduled and they are not refunding me any money. They're keeping the $3,000 that I paid for the flight and I called to see if they could refund it instead of a voucher because I'm going through a messy divorce and I've lost a lot of money and I can't afford to take the trip and they're refusing to help me. Please I need help getting this money back. I have lost over $40,000 in this divorce and that's the only reason I canceled. I typically fly allegiant when I fly anywhere. I will not be flying a legion any longer unless this is resolved.

    On flight 1141 from Pittsburg to Sarasota Bradenton on December 30, 2024. When reaching destination we were told we could not land due to fog so we circled airport for 20 minutes until pilot announced we would be diverted to Sanford-Orlando airport. When we got to Orlando passangers were trying to ask the flight attendants what we were supposed to do and all they did was laugh and say welcome to Orlando. We were then told we had a choice. Stay on the plane and head back to Pittsburg PA. or get off and make other arrangements. They told us we had to make our own arrangements to get home. Here we are in Orlando (3 1/2 hours from home) with no luggage. I had a car service waiting for me in Sarasota which I paid $80 and had to send them home, I went to check on car rental to drive home and they wanted almost $300 to drive it and drop it off in Sarasota, and I was out $520 for the flight for my wife and I as we were never taken to our destination. We finally were able to get an UBER ride home at a cost of $260 and got home 4 hours later without luggage which no one knew where it was. I spoke with an agent and he said he emailed me and my wife each a $100 voucher but that does not even begin to compensate us for our losses. I am demanding that we get a full refund of $520 for our flight and bags, plus $260 for the Uber ride from Orlando to Sarasota, plus $80 for the car service I had to pay for cause we did not show up. I will contact the FAA if I do not get satisfaction. I will also cancel my long standing Allegiant credit card and never fly Allegiant again as I usually fly 6-8 times a year. The $100 voucher was an insult.

    Allegiant Air customer service is horrible, will not try to resolve your issue and will end conversation if you pause more than 30 seconds, will not use them ever again.
