Business charged a fee for a service that should be free as the loan was a student federal loan. Third party servicing companies charging fee that shouldnt be allowed and entering the ***** file without permission. Asked for everything to be cancelled and did not get a cancellation email. Requested all information be deleted.

This complaint is directed to the wrong company. Superior Loan Servicing does not service for consumer debt or student loans. The company they are looking for is called Superior Servicing located at **********************************************************. The names are very similar, so I can understand the confusion. Superior Loan Servicing is not affiliated in any way with Superior Servicing.

    Hello *****,

By signing the service agreement that you attached to this complaint, you confirm that you knew we are a third party company that charges a fee for a service we provide, which is prepare federal documents for applicants who do not know how to do so on their own. This signed agreement also confirms that you gave us permission to not only prepare these documents for you, but have access to the *** information that you provided. On June 2nd you spoke to one of our representatives and your account was cancelled out. While we did cancel out your account, per your request, we still completed the service we offer without ever charging your bank account. The federal documents we prepared were sent to the email you provided. We wish you the best of luck with your student loans.

    Best Regards,
    Superior Servicing

This company sent a letter to me in the mail offering assistance with my federal student loans. After accidentally falling for their scam, I was notified via email by the ** department of education of suspicious activity on my student loan account. They somehow had all of my personal and student loan information including my social security number. After speaking with a FASFA representative and my current loan service provider, I was advised never to pay a third party company for assistance with student loans as assistance can always be provided for free and to file a complaint against this private company who somehow obtained all my personal information and tricked me into electronically signing a contract with them which included providing all of my bank account information and made it extremely difficult to cancel the policy.

On 6/28/23, I received a letter from Superior Servicing posing as workers with the ** ********** and when I called they said they were going to lower my payment to ***** a month, but I needed to pay ******, when I called I was given conflicted information and when I asked to be removed from the program. I was told I would be removed and when asked for letter of confirmation. I was told I would get a text and then I called back and was told I would receive an email. No email received and I had to contact my financial institution to block the company. However the company is fraudulent misrepresentation of the services and misinforming consumers they work with the ********** of ********** In addition the email address ends with net. Which is fraudulent.

I believe this company is possibly a scam for students with debt from student loans.
