Broadview is a banking scam. For no reason they terminated my bill pay account for second time, suggesting I contact their half-assed bill pay banking company for a resolution. I plan to terminate my association with Broadview FCU at the first opportunity.Broadview Federal Credit Union

1 starCustomer with 3 loans and a fico in the low 800s. Shut my access off to online, telephone etc. rejected my direct deposits. And the service largely is horrible! DEI with zero knowledge or expertise. Locked out of accounts for days. A deposit in a branch was never less than a 40 minute ordeal. Absolutely insane after the Broadview merger.Review fromja w

Stay away if you can...maybe find a place that actually sees you as a person rather than their bottom line. I was a customer of ****** for over 17 years...never really a problem. I got scammed for about 1400 and receive social security. ****** was understanding and allowed me time to pay it back knowing that I did not get any of the money I lost. I was able to pay back over 3/4 of it but ran into financial issues as most do on SSD. A week ago, I got a bad check for over 800. It went through the bank verification system and posted to my account. I learned a week later it was a bad check and my account was deducted ended up negative that amount. Fine, my bad for trusting people. Called told them I would cover that amount even though it would be an insane hardship for my daughter and I when my SS was deposited. I was told my SS would not be touched at any point without my permission. But without notice they took an extra almost 500 out of my account on top of the 800...a day before thanksgiving and a couple of weeks before Christmas. I could hear the laughter and coldness in all of their voices. They could have given me notice. They could have waited til the next month especially after realizing I had just lost 800 from a bad check. They did not care. I pleaded but they just laughed. There were other options. These people will smile to your face while caring nothing for you or your well being. They are there only for your money and I get that its a business. But at some point, you have to see people as human and act accordingly. Seriously, if you expect them to support you when things go wrong...find a different place to bank. If you want a bank that cares about your family's well being....find a different place...If you need a bank that you can trust with your money...find a different place...If something goes wrong and you expect your bank to their job and not violate any federal laws...you may want to find a different place to bank.Broadview Federal Credit Union

I appreciate the confusing reply but I am sure no one will be outreaching as no one has as of 10 December 2024 and I really don't want to hear the same thing over from the same or different person. A Thanksgiving ruined as I did not have money to purchase food as I was waiting for my social security to be deposited but then disappear just as quickly and no gas to travel as I needed to at least pay a couple of back bills and conserve a little to try to suffer through the month. Not to mentioned a ruined Christmas for my 13 year old. I will try to rush and see if a church somewhere will help with something and once I get back on track return the favor to them. And I forgot to mention during my venting that the bank representative called me on a Restricted number....who does that in a business especially a bank. I usually do not answer restricted calls or unknown numbers as I get a lot of spam calls but something told me it was probably the scam bank calling me back like that so I did answer...half way through the horror I questioned myself wonder if this really was my bank as I was being treated worse than the scammers treated me...actually they were nicer honestly.Review fromRena B

We were customers of ****** FCU for more than 35 years and EXTREMELY pleased with the services and especially the 5-star customer service. Since the merger, the level of customer service has declined drastically. Hold times are long, HORRIBLE service with numerous issues and no one is on the same page. Talk with two people and get two completely different answers. We are all about change for the right reasons but have yet to find one right thing with this merger.Broadview Federal Credit Union

1 starThis merger has been so problematic for me. Before the merger, I had a closed sefcu account (closed 10+ years) and an active capcom account that I've had for 7+ years with all my current information.Today, I tried to file a dispute and had to verify my "address" over the phone with broadview. They couldn't verify my address because the address on file was from the old sefcu account that had been closed for over 10 years. They also had phone numbers that weren't ever affliated with either accounts. Mind you I have been receiving all my mail from capcom and now Broadview at my current address and I even get texts on my current number.
I finally get the old address and verify the account and get things changed..... now I called because there was a merchant charge that was completely incorrect..... come to find out that it was an overcharge fee that the bank listed as a merchant charge. The rep. stated that broadview has been having this problem.
Let's not get into the fact that they use 3rd party reps to file disputes or that I had to verify my identity over 6 times.
Honestly -- what is going on? I left Sefcu because it was consistently a terrible experience and now broadview is the same. Everyday there is an issue with pending orders not showing on the app or the balance being incorrect.
Please get it together. ??Review fromPaul B

1 starThis credit union is a disaster. No benefit since the merger: savings rates are still criminally low at 0.015% APY in an era of >5% federal reserve rates, CDs are still uncompetitive compared to almost any other institution (in fact, ****** was offering higher rates just before the merger - these rates are of course unavailable now).
****** FCU was coerced into merging with ***** by the **** and NYS because ***** was facing huge financial losses due to mismanagement, ****** was posting great profits. **** wanted to avoid a financial crisis, and the NYS wanted to avoid the embarrassment of their State Employees Federal Credit Union from going insolvent due to poor management. ***** just recently finally consumed ******, and not even a week into the transition I've detected fraudulent activity in my checking account, probably due to a data leak (as is common when financial institutions like this merge). The benefits for *****: A massive infusion of 2 billion dollars of money-making assets to prop up their $6 billion dollar losing portfolio. The benefits for ******: No ATM fees at select local ATMs, and you can now add nicknames to your accounts more easily.
This has been a losing deal for ****** members, who are treated like second-class citizens. ***** members got to keep all account numbers, unlike ****** members who now have new ones. Why reward the loser in the deal? The ****** membership got a "vote" for this merger (in which we voted away our rights to ever vote on anything else management does), which resulted in "an overwhelming yes vote", even though ****** has refused any requests to provide the actual numbers.
And what has happened to the management? The CEO of ******, who became CEO of Broadview just retired a few months ago. The "savior" of *****'s sinking ship took his huge corporate bonus to initiate the merger, then left everyone as he laughs all the way to the bank -- which I guarantee is not Broadview FCUReview fromJoanne M

1 starBroadview on S. Pearl St, is so cheesy and segregated for Blacks it highly unacceptable. They treat this population with no respect and fails to provide support to its mbrs, outside of cashing checks. One in at a time, with security guard at door. Unacceptable to say the least! Problem is that the population is not coherent enough to know the differences in how they're treated.Review fromBrad P
