Revenue Reporting Services has contacted several non-family members stating that I owe a debt and I need to contact them (violation of FDCPA s. 805(b)). I reached out leaving a voicemail at the number they left, requesting documentation be sent to me because I was not aware of owing any outstanding debts. I never received any such information (violation of FDCPA s. 809 (a)). The calls have continued and I have now sent two cease and desist contact letters (03/22 and 04/05) to the address listed on their website, yet the contact still has not stopped (violation of FDCPA s. 805 (c)). They reached out to a family friend today, using the wrong last name to try to identify me. The name they used was my minor child’s last name, which I have never held. The individuals being contacted are old family neighbors from over 10 years ago. I was only able to find out about any of this because the family friend reached out to me on social media. I am greatly disturbed at the violation of my privacy by contacting people I have loosely associated with, and more so that they have my under age child’s information somehow. In addition to my report, I have emailed the compliance officer with a copy of this complaint as well as letting her know I have sent a third certified cease and desist letter which I hope will be honored.Business Response

Dear Sir/Madam,I have received the complaint from your office regarding the above debtor. We received this account in our office on December 11th, 2023. At that time, we had sent out a 30-day letter notice to the address on file as well as the email address given from Ms. *******. On January 31st, 2024, as well as April 10th, 2024, we attempted to contact Ms. ******* to discuss the matter. We were unsuccessful in reaching her on both occasions. On the evening of April 10th, 2024, our compliance department received an email from Ms. ******* stating she has been asking us for a validation of debt and asking that we don’t contact her, or any other numbers listed for her any longer. She stated she even sent one request to our address certified mail. We did respond back to her this morning explaining we have never received any request for validation or any correspondence back from her even the one that was certified. However, at this time we let her know we have put a Cease & Desist in on this account so there is no further contact made and as of this morning we also put a request in with the Client for a validation of debt on this account. Should you or Ms. ****** have any questions relative to the above referenced ID, please do not hesitate to contact our office toll free at ###-###-#### Monday through Thursday 9:00am - 5:30pm EST and Friday 9:00am - 3:00pm EST. RRS has is trying to collect a debt from me for a payday loan from ** **** ******. I borrowed 650 and paid back half. I could not make the payments due to the charged predatory interest rates. I decided to look into ****************- they are not a licensed lender in my state and legally cannot do business and there interest rates charged are more than triple of the regulatory rates allowed in my state. This loan is illegal. RRS contacted me via email in December 2023- I never received a mailed document which breaks collection laws. I looked in my RRS account in the documents page and there is nothing there. They contacted twice by phone in December. I ignored the calls in December since the debt was considered illegal. Yesterday They reached out to a family member and left a voicemail stating they had paperwork for me and wanted my family member to pass along that they needed me to call back. I checked in the RRS account and the only contact info listed is my email ********************* and phone ###-###-####. I do not know how they found out my family member contact info. I sent a contact us message via their portal to only contact my info and not contact anyone else about my business. This payday loan from **************** was made by a unlicensed company and legally cannot do business in my state. RRS is trying to collect on an illegal loan including a amount with predatory finance percentages. I have already also filed a complaint with the financial regulation department in my state on RRS as they have violated collection laws.Business Response

Dear Sir/Madam,I have received the complaint from your office regarding the above debtor. We received this account in our office on December 11th, 2023. At that time the 30-day letter attached was sent out to the address on file as well as the email listed on the loan application. On December 13th, 2023, we attempted to contact Mr. ******* on the numbers provided on the loan application with ** **** ******. On January 8th, 2023, there was a second attempt to contact Mr. ******* on his cell phone listed, a work number listed as well as ****** ******* who was listed as Mr. *******’s wife. After those messages were left, we received an email that I have attached below this response. On January 8th, 2023, we responded to Mr. ******* stating that we have updated his account with his request and there will be no further contact. We let him know if he chooses to contact us for assistance, he has our information. Mr. ******* received the loan on June 6th, 2023, for $650.00 and paid $360.68 to the creditor from our records. He has not even paid the amount borrowed back at this time. He is speaking of certain interest rates being illegal in some states and considered predatory. We understand this and would have been willing to knock the balance down according to the Florida state standards of what is allowed. At this time, we do not even see the balance reflecting the original interest rate discussed on his loan application and assumed it was because they followed state compliance. If Mr. ******* would like to reimburse the amount borrowed at this time to resolve this matter, he can feel free to contact our office. There will be no further contact made at our end. Should you or Mr. ******* have any questions relative to the above referenced ID, please do not hesitate to contact our office toll free at ###-###-#### Monday through Thursday 9:00am - 5:30pm EST and Friday 9:00am - 3:00pm EST. Better Business Bureau: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear . RRS indicated in my account with them that I owe $1295. If you are saying I owe only the remaining balance, then why was RRS trying to get $1295 from me in that amount. Also my phone number ###-###-#### was the only phone number for contact… still not sure how they got another family members number. Again this debt was created by an unlicensed business , which legally in my state is required to do business- Regards, **** *******Initial Complaint

I have a debt that I only had two payments left on and I attempted to cancel an automatic withdrawal due to furlough. I informed them that I was furloughed. When the company did not receive payment and I informed them that at the time I was unable to make a payment, the company then started calling my friends and family. These numbers were not provided to this company. I was also threatened that more fees could be placed on my account because I was unable to pay. Although I only had two remaining payments, I was threatened that they company could charge way more and when I mentioned that this was a threat they started saying “we aren’t threading you”. This was extremely unprofessional.Business Response

Dear Sir/Madam, I have received the complaint from your office regarding the above debtor. We received this account from **************** on April 4th, 2023. At that time, a 30-day letter was sent out to the address on file as well as the email address on file. We spoke to Ms. ***** on her cell phone of ************ and went over the delinquent account. She had asked to reimburse the loan back through payments rather than the full balance due like the contract stated. At that time, she scheduled 8 biweekly payments of $154.00 to be debited from her debit card ending in 7846. On May 19th, 2023, she contacted our office at 10:50 am EST and asked how many payments she has left. She stated she is annoyed with making them. We informed her how many were left and if she wanted to call in and pay balance early, she was able to. She called in on June 15th, 2023, telling us she was informed she is going to be laid off soon and wasn’t sure how much longer she could withstand payments. She was told she was put into the arrangement and if she wanted to finish it off, we would need the rest of the payments to clear but that she could call back the Office Manager to see if something could be done. She defaulted on June 30th, 2023, and was contacted to see what she wanted done with the rest of the balance remaining. She called us back July 13th, 2023, stating she didn’t have a job any longer and no threat is going to make her pay. We informed her there are no threats and that we DO NOT add any of the back dated interest in our office but that if she cannot commit to finish paying it we will just send it back to our client. She hung up on us during that conversation and was never contacted again after that. I do apologize but we cannot just delete the remaining balance of $301.00 on an account that was placed into our office. If Ms. ***** would like to contact us though I can see if there is a way to settle the remaining balance either through payments or a one-time payment towards a settlement to finish it off. Should you or Ms. ***** have any questions relative to the above referenced ID, please do not hesitate to contact our office toll free at ************** Monday through Thursday 9:00am - 5:00pm EST and Friday 9:00am - 3:00pm EST. I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. One of the employees from this company has reached out to me as well as other members of my friends and family who are not associated with this loan. These numbers were not provided for contact to attempt to reach me these people have no knowledge of this loan, the company, or your business I do not believe this process is legal in unsure where they are even obtaining these numbers to contact these people. The wording of your response is attempting to portray a refusal to pay and this is not accurate I was laid off on 5/28/23 This was indicated prior and I was told by Tanner ***** to let the payment default. The next representative did inform me that you’d send it back to the client if I pay and they would add more fees. This is on fact a threat It was meant to be perceived as if I don’t pay y’all I could be paying more Tanner ***** has called numerous friends and family of mine including treat, when she called my number asking for my friend who is associated with this number she has provided my personal information on voicemails saying I owe money and have missed payments This is confidential information. Please handle this accordingly Regards, ******* *****Business Response

Dear Sir/Madam, I have received the response to this complaint from your office regarding the above debtor. We do apologize but we have a database that does show contact information for individuals that is sent to our office for collection. In that database were contact numbers for Ms. *****. At the time we needed to speak to her there was a third-party voicemail left. However, all our calls are recorded and due to third party disclosure laws we do not disclose any information pertaining to the debt or what it is pertaining to. It was simply a message left that we are looking to speak to her and our contact information for her to call back. At this time, we have also noted in the account that no further contact be made with anyone other than Ms. ***** herself. We also informed Ms. ***** that we DO NOT reserve the right to attach any fees to this account and that we are NOT an attorney’s office. When the loan went into a defaulted status, we were unable to just “close” the account out because she made payments. We also mentioned that because of the fact we are not an attorney’s office we do not know what happens to the account after it leaves our office. We cannot quote what any form of fees looks like because we do not apply fees to the balances we receive. We do not have a Tanner ***** in our office so I’m wondering if it is a different office that Ms. ***** owes and is getting confused with the two. I see at this time a representative in our office has spoken to Ms. ***** and concluded a settlement offer. She is set to make a final payment of $150.50 on August 25th, 2023, and we are going to close this account as settled in full due to her financial circumstances. Should you or Ms. ***** have any questions relative to the above referenced ID, please do not hesitate to contact our office toll free at ************** Monday through Thursday 9:00am - 5:00pm EST and Friday 9:00am - 3:00pm EST. Dear Sir/Madam,I have received the complaint from your office regarding the above debtor. We received this account from ******* ***** in our office on March 3rd, 2023. At that time, a 30-day letter was sent out to the address on file as well as the email address on file. I’m very confused with this complaint because Mr. ****’s is stating there was contact to him as well as third party and that is simply not true. There was only one outbound call on one occasion on this account since arriving through our office. On March 8th, 2023 at 9:36 am EST there was one voicemail left on the number ###-###-####. Other than that, there has been no other contact attempted. I’m not sure if Mr. ****’s is thinking of a different company but I did put a cease and desist on this account and will send it back to our client as a refusal to pay status. I was contacted at my work by a company by the name of revenue reporting they left the number ###-###-#### but while i was on the phone with them they called from a spoof number ###-###-#### starkville, ms it came up as a spam number. they state that I have a payday loan with ************* but I am in luck and they only need to collect $720 on a $600 loan. They kept requesting the fax number for my employer to send over verification. When I search on these numbers and company name it comes back as a scam. Ms. ****** emailed us stating she received a call and then contacted our office back stating she received the message from us. We went ahead and made her aware of the account in our office and she provided us with an updated email address **********@gmail.com. We sent her the link to our online portal so she could she her account and the letters sent out. We explained even though the balance was due we would try to offer her a payment option to help. She stated she had nothing to pay on it at the time and could not make a payment on her next pay date of any sort either. She stated she would call us back tomorrow to discuss payments and asked us to remove her work number. She also asked for the original loan contract. After the call ended we removed her work number from her account and had put a request in to the original creditor for her original contract media. She emailed us later that day that her portal link was saying it expired. We emailed her back saying if she is having a hard time logging into our portal she can feel free to call our office and we can help walk her through. Dear Sir/Madam, I have received the complaint from your office regarding the above debtor. We received this account from ** ***** ****** in our office on July 21, 2022. At that time, a 30-day letter was sent out to the address on file. There have also been several emails sent out to the email provided by Ms. ********* at ********@*******.com. On September 9, 2022 we attempted to contact Ms. ********* on the phone numbers provided on the loan application with ** ***** ******. Later that day on September 9, 2022 she sent an email to our office stating to cease and desist any contact to her and that she felt she was being harassed. She then provided us with the same email that we have attempted to correspond with her in the past. This account has now been placed into a cease and desist status and notated. Should Ms. ******** like to handle this matter she can go to our website at www.************************.com and log in to the portal. The reference number to refer to would be ******* and she can review the account we are attempting to contact her on. Should you or Ms. ********* have any questions relative to the above referenced ID, please do not hesitate to contact our office toll free at ###-###-#### Monday through Thursday 9:00am - 5:00pm EST and Friday 9:00am - 3:00pm EST. Sincerely, Compliance Department
