      My husband passed away due to Natural Causes! On February 28, 2025. Lumico just slapped me in the face with the we got the right to contest your policy and hold off till we get your husbands medical records. We are going back 5 years and it may take several months. I paid for my husbands arrangements out of pocket. Then was told if I wanted to speed things up. I could do their foot work and pay for my husbands medical records and deliver them to them if I wanted paid out on his policy. Other words. I needed to wait the several months until they decided to pay out his life insurance policy. Basically I got a Thank You for his 20 plus years of Service to this Country. As I navigate through resetting my life back up. Finding my husband gone. CPR for what felt like ************************************************** **. To, oh well, no empathy or sympathy, as you try to pick up the broken pieces and rebuild. The life you and your partner shared . PTSD and Grief Counseling is what wives and husbands are left with. As we are told by customers care technicians how they been doing this business for many many years Shame on you Lumico

      After five years into my 10-year policy with LUMICO, I have encountered numerous ongoing issues. Upon noticing that some of the medical information in my file was inaccurate or missing, I sent the company nine separate letters via priority mail with tracking numbers, as well as multiple faxes. Each letter included complete, updated information from my physician, to date, no changes have been made.I specifically requested a signed letter confirming receipt and acknowledgment of the corrected medical information, along with a confirmation that my policy would remain in effect. Instead, I received an unsigned response stating only that my policy was active, and no updates were necessary.Most recently, I received a notice claiming my credit card was expiring and that failure to update it could result in cancellation of my policy. However, the card does not expire until next month. Attempted to update my payment information online 12 times, only to be met with repeated "Page *** Found (404)" errors. When I called customer service, the representative was unable to assist and transferred me to someone else who claimed to have made the necessary changes. Despite this assurance, I checked again and found the old credit card information still listed.Given these repeated failures and widespread complaints from other customers, I am deeply concerned that if a claim ever needs to be filedparticularly in the event of my deaththere will be significant resistance or delays from LUMICO. Fortunately, I have retained an estate attorney who handles my financial affairs and is fully prepared to pursue legal action if the company fails to honor the policy. Is the company a fraud - possibly; however, will know more in the not too distant future.P.S. I have documented proof of all correspondence, including mailed letters, fax attempts, and phone calls.

      The insurance company is a total scam. They take your money and you never get anything in return. Your claim is always under review.

      This company is a total scam! Tried making a payment for my fathers policy and they wouldn't let me. It's supposed to be coming out of his checking account automatically, but since they found out he now has cancer, (after he's had the policy for 10 years) they stopped taking the payments and only he can make a payment. Total BS!!!!

      This is a horrible company basically stealing your money do not get life insurance here you will regret it do not waist your time i got this insurance thinking I had something good but no! It's awful they had my birthday all wrong when I tried to correct the problem I got the run around they asked me to send them proof of my birthday with a birth certificate I sent it then they told me the email they had on file was not the sane as when I set up the account that was a lie!! I only have one email to use after that I asked was it another way to prove it they said only through the email then turn around and sent me an email that says I can fax it to them but you can't send a birth certificate through fax for security reasons with no way to provide my birth certificate I couldn't pay the bill and my insurance collapsed they never tried to rectify the problem they was only after keeping my money im going to find a way to file a complaint with the better business Bureau to get my money back that they stole from me my wife would not have been able to access the money if I died!!! It's a shame but I'm going to report you guys for my money I want it back.

      The agents from this company lie! I was sold a policy and told it would not go up in premium and was good till I was 74. Talk to them on phone and they said my coverage has ended unless I would pay $500 monthly!

      Lumico has poor customer service. The agent that was assigned to me, was/ is no longer employed with them, and I was never told that she was no longer employed with them, neither did I get another agent assigned to me. I wanted to change the death benefit on my policy, I was told I couldnt, that they would have to write me another policy. When I asked why they provided no reason, other than I had thirty day from the start of my policy to make any changes. I asked to speak to a supervisor, I was told there was no supervisor available. Insisting that 30 days to make any changes was not a reason, all they could tell me is that is their policy, but never gave a specific reason. Every time I try to log into my account I cant get in, prompting me to call customer service. When trying to access my account over the phone, their automated system says that there is no account with my policy number. Its very stressful dealing with them. August 2024, I was told they dont have any agents to assign me to, and Lumico doesnt write their own policies. They were contracted with Assurance for policy writing, but now theyre no longer contracted with Assurance. When calling customer service, they can never give you a straight answer to your questionsit always, I think, Im not sure, I dont know. This is a horrible company that doesnt practice good business.
