Any and every employee I've spoken to has been rude, unhelpful, and at times argumentative; I had a car stolen from me at gunpoint (along with many other possessions) for which Bethpage was the financer. They did not seem interested at all in my predicament, but rather, recovering their payments - despite me telling them very plainly that the robbery was effecting my financial status. Once I was able to get the ball rolling on recovering a semblance of normalcy, speaking with employees from Bethpage was like banging your head against a wall. Zero human compassion at all. As a side note, they only accept payments via mail in checks or money orders, unless you open an account with them.. wildly outdated for 2023. I would not finance with them under any capacity in the future.

I really tried with this bank, but it's one thing after another. I've been a customer for almost ten years, mostly because it's a hassle to change. This is the end of the line. Most recent issue--I opened a student checking account for my 15 year old so she could begin to learn to manage her money. First ****** learned--bank at a reputable bank. Although there was plenty of money in the account and we had activated the card at the **** this poor kid was trying to use her debit card at the mall and it kept being declined. Of course this was Saturday afternoon, so Bethpage has no one answering phones outside of their business hours.I like the idea of supporting credit unions, but they just can't handle the demands of the digital world. I've also had a terrible experience with Municipal Credit Union. There's a Chase branch right in town. It will be so much easier for all of **.

I have an auto loan with Bethpage. I had switched bank accounts, and tried to link my new account to their online app to make payments. There were errors on their end and no matter how many phone calls I made, I couldnt link my accounts and pay my bills. As a result of their poor tech, I missed 3-4 months of payments. Without any phone calls, texts, or mail warnings, my car was towed from my driveway at 3am. NO NOTICE. I called the cops thinking my car was stolen and the cops had to track down for me that it was my dysfunctional lender. They repossessed my car due to their failings to accept my payments and charged me close to $1k for a repossession / towing fee to get my car back. I have very strong credit and have never missed payments before so this was quite a traumatic episode. The treatment by Bethpage was the worst customer experience of my life, and probably illegal. I recommend avoiding this institution at all costs.

the card operation and fraud **** for the debit card is awful! They have an escalation process that they advise the clients, but don't follow it. They say someone will call back when they get annoyed but don't say when unless you ask and still don't even follow through with calling back. They mishandled my case and won't acknowledge the error. **** and unprofessional from associate to management. They want to keep stating it is not covered by REG E but them mishandling it is what they wont take accountability for. I had BFCU years ago and left, then I went back and now I remember why I left them in the first place. They don't know what they are doing and won't ever call you back. I also asked them to mail me the support the merchant sent and they haven't done that.

...Do you know how embarrassing it is to be standing at a Supermarket with a small child and have them pack all your things for you....all for your card to be declined and for you to go home with no food? This is what BethPAGE does to people. If I were a scammer, I would have better access to my money when I needed it. The account literally has less than $3000 in it and every so often, they shut down my card. They do this all the time....almost every month and for no reason. If I buy an ice cream cone and don't get permission, they shut down my card. I am a single mom and I need access to the money that I worked for. I never go out. I literally work from home and watch Netflix and every time I have to go to the market, I have to call BethPAGE beforehand to make sure that they did not cancel my card for no reason. I hate this back and I pray they all burn in ******* ****

I tried to open an account online several times and they kept asking for the same information. Finally went to local branch and told them my issue , answered questions and they told me they would call back--they didn't! That should have rang some bells.I went to the branch again and was directed to a teller window to start the whole application process again. It was against my better judgement but I hung in there standing or 1 hour and finally got the account numbers and debit card.A few weeks later I decided to open an online account at home and I received the same message-they didn't have any records of my information.I attempted to open an online account several more time and the same message came up- and directed me to go to the local branch. That was 5 months ago.I give up and will try to close this account.

Absolutely the worse experience Ive ever had with a bank. ****** get a call back after making an appointment for a call back. They want all your information social security number copy of drivers license, passport copies to make application for a savings account and then after all that they cant even get back to you with any info, they are the worst Ive had the displeasure of trying to do business with.

Were absolutely useless when during a scam, they took the money back out of my account, as if I had already received a refund. Called and they're like "****, ******* is treated like cash". Okay, no ****, dispute it with the company then, who was also useless in doing anything to remove the ***** scammer from their platform! Now I'm out 300 because ******** decides to do nothing. Everyone just shrugs their ****** shoulders as if they can't do anything, with all this digital evidence! This on top of the fact that their systems are always down for one reason or another.
