      I just got a bill that was twice what last month's was even though usage was about the same. I called AEP thinking something was broken and was informed that my price per kilowatt hour in *** was 9 cents and is currently at 27 cents. It tripled in less than 6 months. On top of that, AEP's price is 7 cents. The price gouging is absolutely disgusting.

      I am really disappointed. Two young well dressed, well spoken individuals came to my door. They obviously need to the job, but the script they had was fear mongering and disrespectful. They started right away with authoritative voices telling me that people in my building had been getting sick from carbon emissions and they needed to verify my usage and asked for the second page of ************ They quickly looked and said yes the problem is with my usage. Like other complainants, I got the same script. Why didn't they spend 5 minutes telling me about the service MPOWER provides rather than trying to make me feel like I am causing my neighbors harm. It's shameful. My neighbors all shooed them away so I looked like the person who falls for scams. If this is a legit business, why use deceptive tactics especially in a liberal state.
