I received a letter today saying welcome to my new energy supplier and I never spoke to anyone about switching, I wouldn't do that I have been in that situation before, not worth the headache, so someone at the company took it upon themselves to say I consented to a switch ,which is not the case, it's saddening to know that this is the way people have to operate to get business, anywho emailed the company today, just got letter and if it doesn't get resolved then I will be taking legal matters upon themPALMco

SCAM- Avoid Intra Energy Overcharged and Harassed I paid ******** in just 2 months after switching to Intra Energy. They promised savings but my bills doubled. Even worse, they kept calling me aggressively after I told themy to stop. Dont fall for the trap stick with your original provider!PALMco

Indra Energy (Indra or the Company) takes these matters seriously and appreciates you for bringing this to our attention. Upon receipt of your concerns, we immediately reviewed our records and found that you enrolled your electric account into a variable rate on September 2, 2024.Please be assured that your account has since been cancelled and its last day with Indra was on March 10, 2025. You were not charged a cancellation fee.We conducted an analysis of your electric account, and it appears there was a significant increase in electric usage reported to us by PSEG, which in part resulted in higher invoices for the disputed cycles. For reference, during your December 2024 billing cycle, you consumed 772 kWh, while 1482 kWh, 1770 kWh, and 1668 kWh were consumed during your January 2025 through March 2025 billing periods. Please be advised that Indra does not read any meters, as PSEG handles all of the billing including customer meter-readings.Additionally, we thoroughly researched our phone records and located only one (1) call placed on behalf of Indra (other than the original enrollment call), which occurred on March 19, 2025. Your phone number was placed on Indras internal Do-Not-Call list as a result of this call.We thank you for discussing this information and Indras resolution with a ********************* representative on April 29, 2025. I had a guy knock on my door explaining that I would be charged a certain amount. That lasted a couple months next thing I know I have an electric bill 7 times the amount that it normally would have been. Im struggling as it is and now I have to deal with this.PALMco

When sales agents engage in negotiations with customers, agents provide their first name, state they are there on behalf of Indra (not acting on behalf of the utility), and the purpose of the solicitation. The sales agents are also trained to not engage in misleading, deceptive, or aggressive ********** response to your message, we immediately reached out to our sales teams and vendor regarding your concerns, and though we have been unable to verify your allegations regarding the sales presentation, our sales agents will be retrained on our policies out of an abundance of caution, and we will continue to correspond with our vendors to ensure they remain fully compliant.We appreciate you speaking with us on March 12, 2025 regarding Indras resolution to your concerns and we thank you for the opportunity to help resolve this matter. Indra Energy signed me up for their service WITHWOUT my consent! When I received mail from them informing me about my enrollment I immediately called and cancelled their service. When I called customer service, they said that a sales agent "*****" came to my home and signed me up. I never spoke to any ***** or any sales agent so I asked to speak to the supervisor in the sales department and they would not transfer my call or give me the number. I also asked for a phone number to their corporate office and that was also denied. They set up two accounts under my name without my knowledge! This is definitely FRAUD sales practices.PALMco

During your interaction with our Company, a supervisor confirmed that the pending enrollment of your electric and natural gas accounts were rescinded. Please be assured that there will be no service, charges, or a cancellation fee from Indra. Sales agents marketing on behalf of Indra are trained to completely adhere to our policies and guidelines. The sales agents are also trained to avoid misleading or deceptive conduct. Should an agent decide to act in a manner that goes against our policies, disciplinary action will be taken. i brought my first home in Dec 2024, I received my first electric bill about a month later. This company had charged me ****** for supply charges! Triple than what they had before I moved! I have been calling non stop as well as I provided my bill via email because they stated they could not find my account after giving them the same information that was on the bill. It was stated that i would hear back from someone within 3-5 business day and i did not! I called on the 6th day and still the run around no one could answer or provide a clear explanation as to why I was billed. I have been calling and sitting on hold and this company is ridiculous! A scam and billed me triple I am so upset right now it makes no sense! I want answers and a return of my money since it was stated this account was closed as of 12-10-2024!PALMco

On December 4, 2024, Indra was notified by your utility company that effective December 12, 2024, the Company would no longer supply energy to your electric account. You were not charged a cancellation fee. Regarding your billing inquiry, our records show that your supply charge for December 2024 was only $31.31. Review of your billing statement indicates that the utility put your supply charges for June 2024 through December 2024 all on your December 2024 billing statement, charging you for six months of service all at once. Please be advised that Indra does not handle any of the billing. This is handled by the utility company, including the generation of the billing statement. As such, you may contact the utility company regarding their decision to include six months of charges on the December 2024 bill. On February 26, 2025, a member of our ********************* attempted to speak with you. A detailed voicemail message was left advising you of the details as mentioned above and to contact us should you have any questions or concerns. 1 starThe man that knocked on my door told me he worked for my current energy company and could get me better rates which sounded good. Of course it turns out that it was an entirely different energy company which would've been fine if he was honest upfront. So once I get mail saying Indra Energy I immediately called to cancel because I was upset. I was given the cancellation confirmation number for both gas and electric. Fast forward a little over a month later I get mail from Indra stating I re-enrolled a few days ago. I never re-enrolled and someone in the office is doing something fraudulent. I just finished cancelling again with two new cancellation confirmation numbers. I hope this will not be an ongoing thing that I have to keep calling to make sure I'm out of their system. This experience has made it so I will never listen to anyone else that knocks on my door claiming to help me save money. I hope that my situation was an isolated event and that this business is legit with the customer's they are serving.Review fromSean P

Based on their response, we have been unable to substantiate the allegation regarding the sales presentation. Notwithstanding and out of an abundance of caution, we are retraining our sales agents, and they will continue to undergo the monthly scheduled retraining sessions to ensure they remain fully compliant. Should a vendor or agent decide to act in a manner that goes against our policies, disciplinary action is taken.
