I bought an extended warranty for a stove from Appliance Connection in November 2023. Come to find out Appliance Connection filed for bankruptcy in December of 2023. I received a text message from Consumer Priority Services in the Spring of 2024 stating they could take over my warranty. I spoke with ******************************* several times who assured me that if I purchased new insurance through his company they would file the paperwork for me to be reimbursed for my original warranty from Appliance Connection. I followed his directive. I was never reimbursed and told I didn't qualify for reimbursement. I told him I wanted to cancel the policy he sold me and be refunded. He said fine but to date (despite several phone calls and emails) I have yet to be reimbursed. His business is fraudulent. I should be refunded my money and they should be held accountable for their actions. Thank you.Business Response

I was waiting to receive a package on June 20, 2024, at approximately 2:15 The delivery person, who could barely speak English pounded on my door. He started yelling at me and shouting Telephone number! Over and over. He was holding my small package. I did not understand what he was talking about. Then he shouted Three days, go back! Which to me sounded like he was going to send my package back. I was never notified that maybe the package was waiting to be picked up? I checked the tracking info at the online store repeatedly, and there was no indication there was a problem. Nothing. No notification. I just said so I have the package, I dont understand Tracking number was *********** *********Business Response

I bought a refrigerator on12/12/2021 from a business named Appliances 4 less , phone #************* ,and I also got a 4 year warranty from a company named Consumer Priority Service (CPS), around May 12th , 2024 the refrigerator stop working, so I call the store where I brought the fridge and explained the situation, they just told me to call the company I got the warranty from and file a claim, so I did, after trying a couple days to connect, finally they return my call and "started" my claim, I didn't hear anything from them until I call them again , about 3 days later they sent a technician, who said that the fridge was unfixable and that he'll file a claim with the insurance so they can start the process to either replace it or fixed .At that point I was flustered for the lost of food and the inconvenience, but I still thought it wouldn't take that long. I was wrong, this company has given me the run around and taking all the time of the world. Finally, around june 5th, they sent a settlement offer for $700 dlls. I had to refuse it because that would not be enough to replace the fridge on any way or form, then they call and told me they would replace the fridge from the same place I got it, so I call the store ti find out if they had contact them, they told me that they had not, so now they have not contact me or sent me an email or anything to show they are actively processing my claimand I am here, buying bags if ice to keep cold milk for the kids and buying groceries on the daily because I can not afford to buy a fridge. The appliance ,I thought, I had protect it by getting it insured.I think this kind of business pray on people who have less, because they know that more likely we are going to tire and stop pursuing our claims, and they end up getting rich by skipping their obligations and pocketing the money they make with their so call "warranty"Business Response

Bought a warranty with CPS for my refrigerator. When the ice machine broke in February, this company assigned a horrible technician to fix the machine once, but told me they had to install a brand new icemaker. Despite their incredible unprofessionalism and my repeated requests to change vendors, they had the same technician come a 2nd time to install the new icemaker. (which took them 2 months to do). Now, just 2 months later, their "brand new" icemaker just broke again. This business is clearly a scamBusiness Response

Approximately 2-months ago I filed a claim for my wine cooler door. The glass door began to fog up between the glass panes of the door. Within days I received a response stating the issued wasn't covered because it was considered "cosmetic". I was given the opportunity to contest this as I did, because it wasn't cosmetic since the seals between the glass panes failed causing a loss in the vacuum seal and this is what causes the fog. I checked on the claim from time-to-time and was told it was with their underwriters for review. Approximately 2-weeks later I reached out again to see what the status was. After being hung up on twice, I finally spoke to another individual who stated it was still under review. Just 2-days ago I called again. I asked what the ***** was and they said it was under review. I asked how long this typically takes and they said 24 to 48 hours. I advised them we were well past that time at which I was then told, "Then it was denied again." "So without notification or any type of justification?" I asked. He said, that since it was a seal, that's not covered. So now after saying it was cosmetic, and me proving it was a part failure which is clearly covered under the warranty, they now revert to another excuse saying seals aren't covered which is not mentioned anywhere in the coverage documentation. I've even stated if they would send me a door, I would replace it myself. I'm by no means trying to be difficult, but as consumers purchasing coverage for items like this, we shouldn't have to get this type of round around. It's criminal for them not to honor a contract and I'd like to have this resolved. I've been patient enough. I'm currently waiting on a response from supervision but still have not received a response.I've attached pictures below and a copy of the warranty.Business Response

Better Business Bureau:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# ********, and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:This is unacceptable. I have been back and forth with numerous people from this company over the last few months. I have proven the fog is NOT a cosmetic issue as they first alleged, and I do agree it states this issue isn't covered, but I have maintained the fog is indeed caused by a component failure; the glass vacuum seal. After providing them documentation readily available on-line and from my own experience working in the field as a Project Manager, I was able to prove this was in fact a part failure, namely the glass vacuum seal. Once I did this, the last representative I spoke to, *******************************, then stated they don't cover seals either. Although I can understand a typical "door seal" might not be covered, this is NOT the case. Also, I was unable to find this in the warranty documentation and was unable to contact him again when I attempted to do so. The first paragraph is very clear as to what they cover and what they don't cover. There is no mention of seals in the warranty at all and once again what failed was a component of the glass assembly...the seal between the glass panes.
In order for the BBB to appropriately process your response, you MUST answer the question above.
Sincerely,

Better Business Bureau:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# ********, and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:Once again, this is NOT a maintenance issue or a consumable item. The failure is a component internal to the door assembly and not the "Door rubber gasket" as they allege. The seal is question which failed is an internal component to the glass window assembly. It's very similar to a seal on a double pane home window something a consumer cant see or touch. When this "component" fails, it can cause several issues to include fog between the glass panes, mildew, loss of energy rating and so on.
Again, I've attached the warranty provided to me from the company prior to me purchasing the warranty. You will find no mention of a seal anywhere in the contract. In fact, none of the paperwork provided to me states anything about not covering a seal. Although I agree the exterior door seal is a consumable item, the seal between the glass panes is not. This seal is an internal component to the window assembly.
They state I agreed to the policy and I did not. Unlike this company, my statement has not changed or varied. This company needs to stand by their warranty and provide a replacement door.

I purchased an extended warranty for a Refrigerator with CPS. When I filed a claim for service, my claim was met with numerous obstacles making me prove that I had the warranty and that I had purchased the refrigerator. After 3 days of nonsense finding invoices and making videos, I met all of their criteria and I was asked for $149 deductible before they would submit my claim. This warranty never had a deductible. When I challenged this charge I was told that was the agreement they had with Appliance Connection and I needed to speak with them. When I told them that the business is out of business they just said, oh and then hung up. This was after trying to reach them for 24hrs. I still can not get a call back. My warranty is with CPS and they were paid for that service. This appears to be a breech of contract. Can you help. What I am asking for is simply what I paid for, which is a repair with the refrigerator.Business Response

I purchased a warranty (offered by Consumer Priority Service) for an appliance at the time of purchase (7/26/2023) through ********** **********. I got an email from CPS confirming that warranty (#*******) that same day.CPS recently contacted me via suspicious looking texts saying that my warranty is suspended. So I called the company directly from the number on the website and was told my warranty was suspended because ********** ********** went bankrupt (in Feb 2024, several months after my purchase) and didnt pay CPS? My warranty is suspended unless I pay CPS again $269 (for the appliance) + $219 (for a different appliance that they seem unaware was returned) while their internal financial team works to dispute the original payment. This is ridiculous, and a sign that their record keeping is terrible. I expect that the warranty coverage I paid for in July 2023 will be honored.Business Response

CPS did not receive the premiums for the warranty from the dealer which is why it was flagged for suspension. CPS understands the experience the customer is going through and as a courtesy we are reinstating the policies free of charge even though no premiums were collected from the dealer. It will take 3-5 business days to see the update in your portal.

The warranty company is a scam. I paid them for warranty on my GE refrigerator. I have been going back and forth with them for 6 weeks and after the refrigerator was deemed non repairable they continue to lie and say the technicians never sent the report. I have been out of a refrigerator and loss a lot of food. They are fine with you paying them but when its time for them to pay they give you the run around.
