1 starTwo times I sent in books in great condition to this company for sale. Both times, they said that my books were more damaged than I claimed, and they reduced the agreed-upon price by a substantial amount. I requested my second book back to find that it appeared to be folded in half and the cover was in terrible shape, despite the fact it was in pristine condition when I sent it. Ordered a book with two day shipping on August 10. Today is August 19. And mailed Friday and they did not respond. ***** does not know where my package is. 2 day shipping was paid for because I needed the book quickly. This is not okay and I want a refund. I let them know this. Im unhappy with my experience. The package started in *************** and is now in ********* when its supposed to be going towards **** which is only a couple hour drive. Books Run claimed my book was counterfeit, kept the book and did not pay me for the sale of my book. The company sent me an email explaining seriousness of counterfeit books with pictures of other books that they were claiming to be counterfeit. These pictures were not pictures of my book. I attempted to call them a second time without success. They will not return my book and they did not pay me.Booksrun.com Inc.

SCAM company. They charged me $45 for a college textbook rental return with "Heavy Wear" consisting of three pages ripped out of the spine which were present when the book arrived to my residence and I wrote it off as being "Used Condition- Good" as the site listed. **** never use this company again, and immediately disputed the charge with my bank. If you do use them, take pictures of everything about the book when it arrives, and maybe build a class action while you're at it.Booksrun.com Inc.

According to our records, within the order in question the item ISE ********************* The Unity of Form and Function, ISBN ************ was rented on 01/03/2024 for 143 days with the expiry date stated as 05/25/2024.Please be informed that, while placing an order, each customer agrees with our policy, which states that items rented may correspond to any condition between New and Used - Acceptable. In concordance with the accepted policy, the rented item in Used - Good condition was sent. This particular condition implies some general signs of tear and wear, some markings, highlighting etc.; however, all the text should be legible and all pages included. The item might show wear from consistent use, but it remains in good condition and functions properly.According to our records, the item was returned to our warehouse on 05/17/2024, however, we received it with a damaged cover. In accordance with our Terms and Conditions, which all our customers agree to be bound by, if the item received exhibits signs of damage, the customer is to report the issue to the seller directly within 7 days after the items delivery. Otherwise, the customer becomes solely responsible for any condition change incurred. It is also mentioned that when you receive your rental item, it still belongs to BooksRun, unless the purchase price is charged. If a rental item is damaged by the user to the point of being unusable when returned, a purchase price will be ********** case with order #*******, the charge was automatically estimated by our system taking into account the purchase price of the book and the condition alterations since the detached pages automatically changed the initial condition of the book to Used - Acceptable. Since the book was returned to us in a condition which differs significantly from the initially rented condition, the charge in the amount of $44.71 was applied accordingly.Once you reached out to us asking to rectify the situation in a timely manner, one of our representatives provided all the information regarding the extra charge and offered a 80% refund of the extra charge as a courtesy despite the fact that according to our existing policy, we do not refund any charges related to rental orders. Once you accepted our offer for a 80% refund of the extra charge, the reimbursement was successfully issued on 05/22/2024.We have no doubts that there was no intention to deceive us from your side, therefore, once you contacted us, in order to make up for the inconvenience caused, we were happy to investigate the case and assist you in a timely fashion.Once again, we are grateful that you brought this matter to our attention. They sent me an email saying they would not pay me for the book because it did not meet their qualifications. Now I have to send money to get the book returned to me.
