      they told me they were my electric company. Said they were going to save me money every month. I thought it was ***** calling me back finally about my pro0blems with smart meter. Now my bill went from doubling when smart meter was put in, to now my bill has tripled. This is highest bill I have to pay in over two years. My bill last year never went over $500 now its $1.500.

      We have had New Wave for a few years now, not realizing that we would be paying more than double the electric rate of *** after the promotion was over. We have been paying this much more than *** charges. We pay for the *** cost, and we pay for the New Wave cost for electricity. I don't know how this is even legal. We are being charged twice: ***** rate of .073 and New Wave's rate of .1689 for all kwh used. Last month we paid .24 for electricity. Over 2x's ***** rate. How is this possible?!!

      All for $$$!!! I dislike this "gas saving" company they are corrupt. Their worker came to my door JAIRELLE M**** and lied to my face claiming it would reduce my bill BUT ABSOLUTELY DID NOT $87 for first month I am currently pregnant with twins and unable to pay more bills on top of bills!! Never opening the door to these liars ever again !! Super unsatisfied don't waste your time !

      New Wave Energy is a corrupt company. They lead you into low rates and do not send out notifications either by email or mail to let you know that your rates will be expiring. Then after your contract expires there rates are more than double what your energy company can provide. When you try to cancel the service, the gentlemen we spoke with was very rude and snarky and not helpful. We will never use this company again and would encourage others not to as well. They are wolves in sheep's clothing.

      Br S said it perfectly. They call you. Only offer a variable plan. The sales person lied about how they keep their rates as low as possible....always near the lowest rate. The second month my rate was trippled (.1599), ****** is only .0949. They don't answer their phones. You are stuck for at least another billing cycle. It takes that long to chance supplier's. I changed as fast as I could and I'm stuck for the next month. At the very least they rob you for two months. Find your own supplier. If they are contacting you hang up. NEVER CHOOSE VARIABLE RATE! There should be laws to protect consumers from utility price gouging. They got me on the hottest month of the year, using AC. I bet they planned it. I have no idea what they are doing this month. Scarry! I have to leave a star. That's not the imoj I want to leave.

      Biggest *** energy supplier I've ever dealt with. Jacked up my electric rate without any notice. Then falsified their documents with **** after I reported them for failing to notify me of the renewal. My June bill was $391.73 and then July was $512.42. 3/4 of those bills are New Wave Energy LLC. They're charging a variable rate higher than every other electric supplier. I've never paid a $400 energy bill, but a $500 one? ***! The KWh rate went from to $0.047, to $0.11071, to finally $0.1599 for TWO BILL CYCLES! There's absolutely no way it's okay to charge customers a $0.1599 rate, but New Wave Energy LLC will scam their way into your bill.
      If you can avoid it - Do Not Apply to New Wave Energy! They're running a shady business and take advantage of the customer. Call center number is always down and they fail to notify their customers of any changes.

      No star if I could. The sales person is dishonest. Did not offer the actual rate but lying their rate is cheaper than my current electric company. When I received the third bills the price almost tripled. Went from $.040 to now $.16 pkw. The sales people would come to my store and called me many times to get me to sign up but did not come straight forward with the rate being low only for two months and thereafter the rate skyrocketed. When I call him he claims he told me. Which if he did I would have reconsider or even sign a contract with lower rate. He did not mentioned variable rates. If I knew i would NEVER sign up. He just give me an ***** to sign. When I tried reaching out to him he never returned my phone calls or emails. This company is scamming people. Beware!!!! Please investigate them. My electric bills went from 290 to 611 this month. Don’t transfer to them!!! Will save you time and money!!!

      I signed up for a 36 month fixed rate of $0.50 per ccf of natural gas. When my contract expired they switched my rate to a variable rate of $1.407 per ccf. Switching to a variable rate is totally within the contract terms. But they tell me they sent 2 letters informing me that my rate was due to expire, which I never received. The problem is there is no accountability on their part to provide you how they determined that rate. The Utility delivering the gas doesn't care or have any way of knowing, and the PUCO doesn't care because New Wave is not a regulated company. So basically your bill is subject to no authority other than New Wave's own personal greed. Raising the rate almost 300% is not only ridiculous, but is much much higher than the regulated utility's variable rate. So I would advise you to beware of the wolves claiming to be above board.
