      Lufthansa lost my suitcase for four days. Their website says you can buy items up to the value of **** pounds sterling for necessities and THEY WILL REIMBURSE YOU. I spent $83.04 on essentials and when I got back to *******, 1st January, I submitted EVERYTHING (photos, receipts, all documentation) to Lufthansa, requesting they reimburse me. When I submitted it, I got a "YOUR INFORMATION HAS BEEN SUBMITTED" screen confirming they received it. One month later I had not heard from them, tried to contact them (was very difficult) - eventually found someone who told me who to email . That person (*****************) has told me lie after lie, doing everything possible NOT to reimburse me. From "we never received your claim ,and now it's too late for you to submit it" (liar) to "we paid you but then had to cancel the payment" (another lie) to "your wire information is wrong" (really? I would think I know my own bank details) to "we've sent the wire, here's the confirmation code" (no such wire existed - they never sent one, just hoping I'll give up) - to lots more lies. THEY ARE SCUM. LIARS, CHEATS, FRAUDS. They will NOT reimburse you if they lose your luggage temporarily and you have to buy things to tide you over. I have hundreds of emails and the same person *** keeps on coming up with new lies! My travel agent actually reimbursed me the $83.04 because I was so upset - the flights themselves were extremely poor - this aside, I'd NEVER fly with them again anyway - RATHER USE A CAMEL OR DONKEY THAN FLY LUFTHANSA!!!!! AVOID THEM!

      It is worst customer service ever!!!They delayed my bags for over 2 weeks and RUINED EVERYTHING, absolutely did not return my e mails in their method of communication! I have e mailed them thousand of times for my issue and also mailed them letter in their address and absolutely none cares. No one will answer the phone and also they guaranteed to compensate % of the clothes underwear and stuff I had to buy while waiting for my luggage's and absolutely have not either received an answer or a ***** from them. TRASH!!!!

      Worst customer service ever. They would not rebook my tickets.I booked 3 tickets to take my kids to visit my family during covid (06/15/2022) where it still required a negative Pcr test results within 24 hours of departure. however, report did not come in timely manner that i needed to rebook my tickets.I was at the airport 5 hours trying to rebooked the tickets but they wanted $7500 more to fly out 3 days later. I don't mind flying out 3 days later but paying $7500 more, that is insane.They documented everything on their ends for me to rebook my unused tickets within 1 year of purchase. When I tried to rebook the tickers ,they ****'t fine my tickets. I emailed them the copies of proof of the tickets , but they keep telling me they cant find my documents. I called the and emailed them ,but no reponse. This is a scam,

      If have to choose I would start with ratings in Negative...One of the worst airline and customer center experiences. I have tried calling them numerous number of time for rebooking my flight and what they will do is let ** hold for ***** minutes, come back and go again on hold and then suddenly hang up the call. When called back you have to provide all the details and passenger information, name, DOB, email...etc for verification and then again they drop in the middle of the call. They never try to resolve your issue. My tickets are still on rebook list, not confirmed, and am waiting for my $2400 which is ** in the air. No resolution.

      First our original flight was cancelled due to "mechanical issues" 7 hours prior to take off. We spent the entire day trying to get a hold of someone to rebook, we were told eventually that the only way we were getting on another flight is if we paid $400 extra per person. We finally went down to the airport (2 hours away) and waited for the lufthansa desk to open so we could speak to someone in person. We were rebooked on a flight 2 days later. Instead of having 1 layover we were going to have 2. So our first flight is fine but then the 2nd flight is delayed which causes us to miss our 3rd flight. We were then stuck in ****** to wait in line at that airport for someone to rebook us on another flight. Which then ended up in 2 more flights! We finally get to ******** only to wait 2 more hours for our luggage which never showed up! We file a missing luggage report and don't end up receiving our luggage at all during our Christmas vacation. We ended up having to buy a bunch of clothes and toiletries which we have still not been reimbursed for. We didn't get our luggage back til more than 30 days later. When it arrived it looked as though someone dragged it through the dirt! And, it went to my neighbors house down the street!!! not even my own house! We haven't been reimbursed for anything! Not even the $150 luggage fee when they lost our **** luggage!

      Lufthansa is the absolute worst airline. They deserve a 0 Star, not even one star. We booked a flight to ******* from *** in April 2022 for business class with a departure date of Nov. 9, 2022. On November 8 we called Lufthansa with a question regarding our flight and were told that the flight had been cancelled. We hadn't received any cancellation email/text so we proceeded with online check-in. Lufthansa website wouldn't allow us to check in so we called their customer service. They said we had cancelled our flight via their website which we hadn't. After many phone calls with customer service, a representative admitted Lufthansa had cancelled our flight. We tried to rebook online, but the new tickets would cost $24,400.00. We paid ********* for the original ticket. Because Lufthansa admitted they cancelled our tickets we went to the airport on the departure date of Nov. 9. Again they said we had cancelled, but this time they stated we called them and they had a recording that we requested the cancellation. We asked if we could rebook and board the flight, but the tickets on Nov. 9 would cost almost $34,000.00. Obviously we didn't rebook. We will never fly with Lufthansa; they cannot be trusted to deliver what they sell.

      We booked our flight to FRA from *** in May for July 2022 and paid in full. We booked a fare that allowed rebooking because we were concerned about COVID restrictions.No COVID but due to Lufthansas strike our flight was canceled 3 days prior to the return flight.Attempts to call and to rebook was impossible because the phones were taken of the hook the moment the strike was announced.Only an automated message instructing is to use their website to book a flight at a different date.We did as instructed, however, the moment we clicked on the new flight Lufthansa CHARGED us the full flight fare for a round trip.Attempts to rectify this erroneous charge were unsuccessful.We filed a claim instructing our credit card company to reverse the charges which they did.Received a letter from Lufthansa to our ******************* demanding the charges being reinstated which were wrong to begin with.Its still ongoing but I just want to warn everyone: Lufthansa is no better but a common thief robbing people.Please visit Lufthansa Complaints on ** and read the many stories like ours. Never again Lufthansa!!!

      Flying Lufthansa - My worst flying experience in 40 years. Lufthansa changed the itinerary (transfer in ********* instead of ****** for flying from ******** to *********) and charged me additional $140 for seat reservation (for which I had initially paid $140) and additional $180 although the ticket allowed me to change flight and the change was done by Lufthansa.I submitted a complaint for $320 reimbursement in June 2022, and Lufthansa did not solve this problem until today October 6, 2022. My luggage arrived in ********* three days after my arrival, and Lufthansa agents at ********* Airport did not answer my phone calls. I had to come back to the airport from a city 140 miles away to pick up my luggage without even knowing if it had arrived or not. The comportment of Lufthansa agents at both ********************** and ********* Airport was disrespectful and insulting. During the flight from ****** to ********* I had to seat in a very uncomfortable position with my legs on top of my carry-on luggage because there was no free space in the overhead bin.Conclusion: Four months after I was dishonestly charged for $320, I was not even contacted by Lufthansa ************** This company that rightly was the pride and symbol of Germany is today an insult to Germany. The services offered by Lufthansa are not comparable with those offered by German businesses which are nearly always of high or very high quality. The services offered by Lufthansa are unimaginably and absolutely low.

      As I was traveling Lufthansa airline via ******** airlines a family of 8 we had our 3 luggages lost for 10 days and could not get thru to any customer service as they would not pick up any phone calls . As we kept trying by email to get back some compensation for aggravation and we had to get some new stuff for our children and us we finally after 3 month got an email to provide info of our routing number where they can send us the money but we never got any money just a one time email and nothing more since then we cannot reach them nor by phone nor by email.

      in our early days of travel we couldn't have been more impressed with Lufthansa and the service they provided. On a recent trip to Europe our first return flight was more than two hours late causing us to miss our connection to the ** stranding us in ******. After significant efforts in the ************** we finally found the Lufthansa ************** that had about 100 people in line. We moved about 3 feet in 2 hours and finally spoke to a Lufthansa employee that was passing by. They instructed us to get a room for the night and our expenses would be refunded by Lufthansa. We did so and still can't get a response from Lufthansa after 3 months for reimbursement. Speaking to a live person is almost impossible. It has been the worst travel experience in all of our years.I would avoid Lufthansa at all costs as the service level on issue resolution is the worst.
