      Dropped off my paperwork (2/14/24) to have my taxes done as I have for the past several years. Called after 2 weeks to see if they were done and was told owner was ill and she would call me back. called several more times during March and was last told that everyone who had not yet had taxes completed would have an extension filled. Called today 6/4/24, and answering machine is full, I can't get my paperwork to have someone else file and I need my return money to pay some bills I have waiting.

      Tax wizard has had my tax information since March and no one has contacted me. Left several messages with no return calls then the phone no longer accepts messages, it only rings. Someone reported this to the news and they found a sign on the door stating that the woman was having surgery yet again nobody has contacting us. I just need to know what is going on. I have been going here for years and the way we have been treated is unacceptable. I need my paperwork completed.

      I WANT THE PAPERWORK WE GAVE TO THEM BACK. I WANT TO KNOW IF THEY EVER FILED FOR AN EXTENSION . I HAVE NO WAY TO REACH THEM EITHER BY PHONE OR GOING TO THE HAMBURG OFFICE.

      I dropped my taxes off in the middle of February. It is now 05/09/24 and I still do not have any update on my taxes. They claimed they put in an extension but there is no proof that they actually filed for when. They said I will not be charged for the extension. The receptionist is rude and hangs the phone up on you. When you ask for an update she addresses you it is out of her hands. Tried calling back multiple times to cancel with them so I could just go to someone else but now it’s just an answering machine with a full mailbox saying they will be back in two weeks. It does not take 3 months for someone to file your taxes and being charged for this behavior would be very eye opening. The extreme unprofessional and lack of communication should not be tolerated. They are basically holding thousands of dollars of my money and are ignoring any requests. I need an update and I do not expect to be reliable for any of the penalties/fees due to this behavior.

      Took my taxes to barb approximately middle of March 2024. I have not heard a word from anyone stating they were done or not. I have called 5 times, emailed twice, no response. Drove over today, no one there. Finally got in touch with IRS, they say my taxes have not been filed, and I am responsible for penalties and interest. I did not know, they were not done, have no way of getting all my paperwork from her, to have someone else prepare. I have called and asked employer for copies of w-2 and 1099, no answer of yet. PLEASE ALL I NEED IS MY PAPERWORK. Help
      I have been with barb for almost 20 yrs, never had an issue before. I don't know what else to do.
      I dont know how I can be responsible, for penalties and interest, when there has been no communication from them.
      Please help. I do not know how else to contact her or any of the staff who work for her.

      My husband and I had an in person appointment with Barb the owner of the Tax Wizard to complete our taxes and file. We sat through the appointment on February 29th. During the appointment Barb was off and did not seem herself. Multiple keying entries/errors that did not make sense. My husband asked Barb if she was ok and she replied yes. The return did not look right to her or to us so she advised to wanted to wait for system edits overnight and rerun the numbers in the morning. She gave us all information back with the exception of our W2's as these inputs are where the errors occurred. We agreed we would come back once she reran the taxes the following day to sign. I never received a call back and waited until the late afternoon to call. My name and number were taken down and I never received a call back. I called back again on March 5th providing the information and asking what the status of my taxes were. Again I was given the run around and my name and number were taken down. Another week went by and I called again on March 12th at that time I was told of Barb's illness and that they are doing the best they could. We have gone to Barb for years so I can empathize with their situation, however, the manner in which they are handling these files is poor. I provided my feedback they should be prioritizing the people that have sat with Barb to complete taxes and she kept our important documents. She agrees and seemed willing to help me this time asking for mine and my husbands name and ssn to have someone look in the system for status because "no one goes on Barb's desk". It is now March 18th and noone has gotten back to me. This time when I called the same person answered the phone and was nasty and dismissive wanting to rush me off the phone and wanting to take my name and number yet again. If they can't file my taxes (which they should) I at least need someone to locate my w2s so I can scramble to get someone else to do.

      Tax Wizard owes me 310.51due to an error Barbara S***** made on my 2021 tax. I was charged 310.51 for late file. Barbara herself told me she’d be responsible for any late charges. I have spoken to her twice and more than half dozen times with her secretary or front desk person—to when she hears my name she knows the message. Twice Barbara was with a client and the message I got she would call as soon as she was done. It never happened.
