1 starI purchased a set of ** appliances from Orville’s Home Appliances on 10/17/2020, along with a 5-year extended warranty for all appliances, including a dishwasher. Unfortunately, my experience with Orville's has been extremely disappointing.
The dishwasher has been extremely loud for over a year. I contacted *** ***** the company handling the warranty, multiple times to resolve the issue. After delays and multiple technician visits, the repair process was unreasonably slow and ineffective. The technician ultimately informed me that the necessary parts would cost over $600, plus installation fees of $300, and approval was required. However, when I was contacted by *** ***** I was shocked to receive a small reimbursement of $325.67 instead of the promised repair or replacement.
The salesperson at Orville’s had assured me that the extended warranty would cover repairs or replacement in case of any issues, but instead, I was left with a minimal offer that barely covers any of the actual costs. The lack of transparency, poor customer service, and failure to follow through on the promises made when I bought the warranty has been incredibly frustrating.
I would not recommend Orville’s Home Appliances based on my experience. It seems like the warranty was sold under false pretenses, and the company did not stand behind the products or services they promised.Review frommarissa l

1 starPurchased our new home and bought all kitchen and laundry appliances from Orville's in June 2024. They came and installed our new washer with brand new hoses and we assumed everything was great.
Friday 5/9/2025 I began to notice our hardwood floors feeling wavy by the washing machine. I felt the floor in areas I could reach, and it was not wet in the front. The machine is in a tight space about an inch between the wall and appliance. So, I shined a flashlight to see in the small gap between the wall and the machine and noticed it was wet in the back and the hardwoods were discolored from water.
I immediately called the Greece store where we bought the washer. I told the women about the issue, and she informed me it was under warranty still so gave me the number for **. I made a service appointment with ** and the technician came out to look at the washer 5/14. When he came out to diagnose Pat discovered indication of a leak coming from the hose. He then went onto say during install sometimes the installer cross threads the connection creating a not so tight seal allowing water to leak. As a result, this has led to significant damage to our hardwood floors.
I then went to Orivlles with this new information. I supplied photos of the connection, and the floor damage. I also supplied the technician note from Pat who came out which says...WORK PERFORMED EXPLAIN OPERATION FILL HOSE IMPROPERLY INSTALLED PROBLEM DESC DEFECTIVE FILL HOSE (HOT) .
Brian from Orville's calls me this morning and says to use my home insurance. Well its not covered by home insurance because it was due to improper installation which cross threaded the hose making it defective and creating a major leak which had been going on slowly over time due to poor install.
I WOULD THINK TWICE ABOUT WHO YOU PURCHASE FROM AND SAVE YOURSELF THE MONEY AND STRESS IN THE LONG RUN! NOW WE ARE OUT THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS DUE TO FAULTLY INSTALL FROM ORVILLES.Review fromScott B

1 starTerrible customer service - Also, unit damaged in delivery - no help from store (Webster), though damage obviously due to poor handling & shipping. (Unit was shipped from Webster to Buffalo & then back to Webster for delivery to residence in Webster)Review fromLaura R

1 starI waited in the hopes that my problems would be resolved but I now see that no matter how patient I am Orville’s is not concerned about their customers at all. I recently had my kitchen remodel done, did a lot of research and decided on a higher end Italian induction range. I took delivery on 3/11. The range did not work, after a service call they determined I needed a part, edited 3 weeks for the part, they came back out nope not working. Pronounced it DOA. I then wondered what was next.. after k called multiple times I learned it was up to the manufacturer to authorize a replacement. Finally got that on 4/8. Never once did Orville’s try to call me with an update. I don’t fault the manufacturer this is all Orville’s not standing up for the customer or standing g behind their products. It is now 5/1, I have no idea when I will get a working range I’ve behold I need tone patient. I xm out of patients, I want to cook in my new kitchen, and can’t, no follow up from Orville’s ever. They just do r care and I can’t return this and purchase another elsewhere it’s not their policy. I am now completely stuck with no recourse, a dead range and no clue when it will be resolved. Completely unacceptable. Hours on the phone trying to resolve this. Stay far away they do not care about the customer at all. So disappointed. I could have purchased it elsewhere but thought they were local and trustworthy NOPE.Review fromMelissa M

1 starWe purchased a microwave stove and refrigerator brand new from the Henrietta Orvilles. The items were delivered. The delivery driver was in a hurry. Said he needed to be home by 2:30 on a Saturday. He left all the packing material. He also did not take the plastic or packing material out of the refrigerator when he left our house he cut across part of the lawn and made a big mess. The refrigerator doors both the top and bottom have damage to them. I immediately called as soon as the delivery driver left, and they put in for a replacement door that was in August 2024. They keep calling me to tell me that the doors are on backorder. Would I like to take a buyout of $150????? Nope, no I do not want a buyout. I want brand new doors for my brand new refrigerator that should’ve come with no damage and when it was damaged, they should’ve immediately replaced it. The Henrietta store manager could care less and told me to call Customer Service and speak to them about my service plan the gentleman from the service plan could care less, but I asked him to order a brand new refrigerator. He could take the doors off of that refrigerator. Put them on mine and then mark that one is defective!!!!!! This is ridiculous we bought brand new and I want new!!!!! I will never buy anything from Orville’s again!!!! Do not use Orville’s for anything!!! I wish I had read these reviews before I bought from them. We never had issues like this with **** *****!!!!
How can they make this right? Order a new refrigerator and use that for replacement parts!!!!
The price of the doors is more than $150 and they want to shut me up with a little chump change!!!Review fromJack D

1 starMy Wife’s review: I am very upset. My husband ordered us a new dryer about a week and an half ago and from its first use the timer is not working, it just runs and runs and it doesn’t heat up. So the clothes are damp even if it’s ran for 2 whole cycles. I could cry bc Orville’s says essentially they can’t do anything. We have to have a technician come and look at it. A dryer that doesn’t stop running and has never worked. How am I supposed to feel safe with this running in my home with my children when there is no shut off? Also, I have a family with many people. Each load can’t take hours to dry and finish off with air drying bc they’re endlessly damp. I’m so frustrated we don’t get a refund or a replacement. I’m sick about this. If you get something defective you’re essentially screwed. Orville’s can’t help you. Be careful ?? I’m so upset. I gave 2 stars bc the guys delivering it were great. It’s not their faultReview fromRandy F

Had it delivered and within 1 hr the right door basically fell off. immediatley called as you have to report anything within 48 hrs. was told by Henrietta store not their problem call service .called service waited over a week for tech to tell me that model has issues 7-10 days for parts. i month later i have to call them to find out whats the issue, now the entire door has fallen off and fridge does not cool. Still no update on parts. wanted refund or exchange told only if approved by manufacturer whos been unresponsive. Wheres the customer service?? over 2 mos and no hope for resolution. at least come get it and give me back my money. but here we set. they will not stand by their sales and put the customer on an island if you have issues. Terrible experience and customer service. So ive basically had no fridge that i paid a grand for for going on 2 mos now. 1 starAfter purchasing an ** refrigerator from Orville's there has been nothing but headaches! The ice dispenser we were told the ice dispenser WOULD make enough ice daily as that is why we were purchasing a new refrigerator. For sure! No problem with that! Two weeks AFTER our purchase the ice machine clogs up and the repair man comes to fix it. (extended warranty purchased). You have to hit the ice maker on the side to keep it from jamming up! OK, so that tried, yeah that's what I needed to do after paying close to $2K for it! We aren't done yet, the SECOND time the ice maker jammed up we called service again and the door/flap on the ice maker was not aligned tightly enough. I spoke with Mike at Orville's about returning it for a new model after two weeks! BEWARE - customer service will NOT get you what you want telling you the re-stocking fee is 50% and that they will not even accept the item back if we bought an upgraded refrigerator! **After the two repairs and several calls (unanswered by Orville's) I got this. I am a 72 year old woman and had the POLICE called on ME for trying SEVERAL times trying to reach Mike at Orville's for the specifics on their return policy. So I could warn other customers! Yes indeed, I'm trying to save others the headache of being sold something under a lie! I was told by the officer that called ME, that after repeated calls to Orville's HE would relay a message to Mike. I ask you this. Why did Orville's call the POLICE on a 72 year old woman trying to get this information? THIS IS NOT CUSTOMER service!! Forget buying appliances there. Lies, rotten customer service, and an appliance that will NOT do what you inquired about SPECIFICALLY. You will be sold something nicely, go about your day and wait for the delivery. After that you are ON YOUR OWN! BUYERS Beware!! Call the Police on a 72 year old woman for calling SEVERAL times, and the phone NEVER was answered!!! **Please go elsewhere!Review fromJoe C

1 starThe customer service from the store manager was terrible. The store sales team was not very knowledgeable. The store manager was very disinterested on our issues and would not consider our issue. We have purchased several appliances from Orville's and will never step foot there again. I also made sure all my family knows of the poor customer serviceReview fromGina P

1 starOrville's really deserves 0 stars. Purchased a lot of appliances over the years from Orville's but will NEVER again .Two months ago I purchased a ** dryer and after exactly 2 months it stopped working. I reported the issue to the Amherst store(on N. Bailey) and was told to call **. ** wanted to schedule multiple service calls for the many issues and then order parts and multiple trips to repair --all for a 2 month YOUNG dryer. I begged Orville's to exchange the dryer for something else and I of course would pay the difference. Why should a dryer of 2 months even need any repairs??? I also mentioned all the negative reviews of Orville's online and Carol in "Service" told me "I don't want to hear about reviews." I was also told by the store manager many of their appliances break after 3 days and I was lucky to get 2 months. After a week of back and forth with the store manager and Carol, Orville's finally agreed to pick up the dryer, refund my credit card, and told me to shop somewhere else for another dryer.
I will never again shop at Orville's and want to warn anyone thinking of shopping here to consider another store. There is absolutely no customer service. Orville's is happy to take your money but does not stand behind its products. They should be ashamed to take people's hard earned money on appliances they know will break so quickly. Buyer beware for sure with Orville's
