      I canceled my optimum and returned all merchandise and they continue charged me ****** for merchandise I returned. The I called 5 times and I only got half credit.

      Highly advise to not do business with Altice USA- Optimum! You will never be able to cancel, even when you no longer have equipment.Long-standing customer of ********************, *** made multiple attempts to reduce my monthly service cost and remain loyal. However, after failing to offer a permanent reduction in the rate ($247/month), I was forced to transfer my business to another provider at a significantly lower price.When I attempted to cancel my service with Optimum, I was subjected to prolonged hold times, multiple transfers to different agents and departments, and various different rates. After insisting on canceling, I was placed on hold again. Finally, after enduring a 45-minute ordeal, the agent ended the call, preventing me from canceling.I went to the store to cancel my service and return my equipment, but the store was unable to cancel my account. They instructed me to call customer service, and I went through the phone process again to cancel. However, I was met with significant delay tactics and no confirmation of *************** make matters worse, Optimum informed me that I had to pay for the service beyond the date I returned the equipment due to the billing cycle, instead of prorating the invoice.

      Had unstable internet throughout the 11 months I had it. Had two techs come out and still didn't fix the problem. When I called to cancel I was on the phone for over 2 hours, even being told I couldn't cancel unless I allowed another tech to come out to look at the problem again. The most ******** customers services I've every encountered.

      This company is dishonest and will do anything to take your money. We had services through Optimum in ***** and shut it off and was told we had to pay another 30 days because they did not have staff available to shut it off. How is that my issue and why should I be paying for that? ******** customer service and refuse to make things right.

      Paid off a past due balance and then made a second payment hours later to go towards my future bill. Realized I need the funds for something else and requested that they cancel the second payment. They refused to refund my money saying the payment was owed to them but I don't have a payment due for another 18 days from today. I am furious and will be seeking another company to proved my Internet. Optimum is nothing but a thieving lieing b.s company who steals peoples money and adds on bogus fees and *** your bill without your knowledge or concent.

      Make sure you check your bills and every conversation before you ok them are in writing, they promised to charge me $40 a month for $24 months only to turn around and charge me $90, they are not trusted why such a company still in business l dont know stay away from optimum cable they are liers and cheaters

      I canceled service on May 7 my bill service dates were 4-29 thru 5-28 I called to get partial refund for service I was not getting and was told they charge the full month no matter when you cancel your account. This is wrong in so many ways charging customers for service they are not even using . They were very proud to tell me this was their policy. I gave one star because they would not let me leave no star .

      If I could give this company less than a 1 rating, I would, they are awful and on *********** we don't have many choices for internet/TV service. When you call with a problem you are speaking to people offshore in ***** every time. You never get an American, ever! When I looked up the CEO, Mr. ****** ******, guess what, he is Indian as well, of course, he is. They are the worst utility to work with by far. They came to my home to give me new equipment witch they told me would be better and it is nowhere near better or efficient. Now Optimum tells me how much TV I can watch each day because after a certain amount of time, your TV will just shut off on its own if you don't change the channels within a certain amount of time. ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!! This is the most insane thing that I ever heard of! How are they getting away with this nonsense, it is criminal and you have to pay the bill for that crap!! The equipment has been in my home for less than a day and I have had nothing but problems with it. When you call, all the call center people tell you is what they "cant" do for you not what they "can" do for you, that is not good customer service at all. I have had to call over 10 times and all I get from them is another phone number to call and once again all you talk to is another AI person over and over and over, beyond frustrating, BEYOND!! I asked for the CEO name and email address so I could send him an email which I know he doesn't read but I know that there is an executive customer complaint person who does and who can make sure that my needs and issues are taken care of and not one person would provide me that info. I was told they don't know that info, how can that be? I worked for ***** for 25 years and if I told that to a customer, I would have been fired! I have an 85 year old mother who has ******************* & can not tell me when her TV shuts off. This is elder abuse!! I am also going to file a complaint with the American for Disability for her. ******

      Charging me for a cell phone that I turned back into them less than 1 week after getting it. They have harassed me about the phone bill since January. The phone was sent back In December. Now they are threading to hurt my credit and turn me over to collections. I have called many times but they will not accept the fact that I dont owe the bill. Never use them again .

      I had been a customer with optimun for over ****** and have had the worst experience, internet constantly going out, poor service, techs don't do their job and don't know what they are doing. On May the 7 when I turned on my computer I learned that the modem was completely dead. I called them and they ran tests and they determined it was not working. They told me that they could not get someone out until Sunday to replace the box, I told them I work from home and would lose 3 days of pay, they didn't seem to care. I then decided to contact another company that had recently installed fiber obtics in my neighbor and they were very pleased with their service as they too had been customer of Optimun. I took down the "dead" modem to the local store and told them I wanted to cancel because the modem was no longer working and it would take them too long to replace. The gentlemen behing the counter told me I had to call to cancel which I did. They did every thing in trying to get me to keep them as my cable provider. The one man I spk to said he could have a modem out there the very next day and give me 3 months of free service, so I asked if you had someone that could come out the very next day, why when the modem was completely dead, had to wait 3 days. To make a long story short, I paid the account current to the 16th of May and felt I was due some money back, especially since the modem was not working. The supervisor that called me back told me they were not goint to refund my money because I cancelled and also because I did not accept their retention offer. I have decided to file a claim in JP Court for the physical and emotional stress they have caused. I am 76 years of age and currently recovering from a fractured ankle, so walking to the store that has a curb and the continued BS they were giving me was stressful. I have read the other complaints and cannot believe what I have read but now I feel I am not the only one that has been delt this way
