Park N Depart engages in deceptive advertising and hits customers with hidden fees, knowing that people on their way to a flight have limited options to change their minds shortly before their flights. On April 12, before departing on a trip, I reserved a parking spot at this business from 4/14/25 until 4/20/25, pre-paying $22.53, with $149 to be due at the lot, when I arrived at the lot, I was told (for the first time) that I would need to pay more because it was a (compact) SUV and that in the event that the ONLY way I could pick up my car if my flight was delayed was to PREPAY for an "extension" along with authorizing the facility to park my car on the street and leave the key in a lockbox. I was also told (contrary to prior information online, that the lot would be closing early on my arrival date, April 20, 2025. Instead of the $149 that I was told would be due at the lot, I was charged $197.12, which I agreed to at the time because I had a flight to catch, and would not be able to find alternative parking at that time. Had the business been upfront about its hidden charges, I would have selected another option for parking.Customer Answer

Complaint Against ************************* Business Address: ************************************* To Whom It May Concern,I am writing to formally file a complaint against *************************, a parking garage located at the above address. I had an extremely negative experience that I believe constitutes fraudulent and deceptive business practices and I have since discovered that many other travelers have had similar or worse experiences with this business.Upon arrival, I was charged significantly more than the confirmed reservation price, with no prior notice or justification. In addition, I was hit with hidden fees simply because I was driving an SUV, something that was never disclosed at the time of booking. The staff on site were rude, unprofessional, and confrontational when I inquired about the overcharges. Most disturbingly, my credit card was charged multiple times with unauthorized and fraudulent charges, which I am now disputing with my bank. The garages check-in process was also unacceptably slow and disorganized, causing myself and several other travelers to miss our flights. After my experience, I looked into the business further and found numerous online complaints, reviews, and consumer reports detailing similar incidents including fraudulent charges, hidden fees, poor service, and threats when customers tried to contest the charges. There are multiple existing complaints with both the BBB and the NYC Department of Consumer and Worker Protection. It is clear this is not an isolated incident but part of a broader, ongoing pattern of predatory behavior toward consumers.I am requesting the following:1.A full refund of the overcharges and unauthorized credit card transactions 2.A formal investigation into *************************s billing practices and customer treatment ****** this complaint be added to the businesss BBB file to warn future customers Thank you for your attention to this matter.Initial Complaint

On 8/21/24 I made online reservations to park my car at the ****** Depart in *************** for my flight out of LaGuardia airport on 8/28/24. My total that was due at the time of parking was $99.07( I had already made a deposit of $21.15). When arriving to the parking lot I was told that I had to pay $10 per day since my Dodge Durango was oversized. The email confirmation I received stated that oversized vehicle was $5 per day. They also charged 2 $5.95 fees that were not disclosed in the original booking. I was also charged $34.84 for a late pick up fee which I was told that if we returned before 7:30pm it would be refunded. When we returned on September 1st, I called the parking lot at 6:24pm to tell them we had returned. I was told that someone would be at the airport in 25 mins. After 30 mins I called again & was told the shuttle was on its way. We waited over an hour. When we arrived back at the lot it was well past 7:30pm. I was told no refund would be process since it was after 7:30pm. This was not our fault. They purposely waited to pick us up in order to not have to refund anyone that was on the shuttle.Customer Answer

Was forced to pay an oversized fee when there was no mention of an oversized fee upon reservation. Called for pick up at airport and waited an hour for a shuttle and when i called to check in i was disrespectfully told they were sending another. I ended up ubering to the parking lot instead - spending another $20 on top of the 140 some extra unexpected dollars i spent upon arrival for my reservation. Horrible experience. Entirely unprofessional. I tried to tell them that the parking brake needed to be applied when the truck was put into park and it was not applied when i received the car.Customer Answer

Parking garage charged higher price than what was promised. In addition, shuttle driver came over an hour later to pick me up (free shuttle included in the contract). I ended up taking a cab to pick up my car after about 45 minutes of waiting at the airport. I took pictures of my cell call log. Note, the lot is approximately five minutes from the airport. Scammers (employees) told me they would return the $38 they pre-charge your card if you arrive at the lot at by the time listed.Initial Complaint

June 20, 2024 Good day,I'm writing because I was bullied by PNG LaGuardia Parking, on *************************************************************** in to paying $175.00 for key that was lost by the company. On June 17th, about 5:30am, I was supposed to pay $64.00, instead I paid$118.00. I paid, went outside and placed the packet on the dashboard and waited. I gave him the key when we were about to leave. On Wednesday, June 19th, I received a call to ask if I had my keys. (I assume, they were looking for the lost key for 2 days prior to calling me). I told ****, no, he said, they did not have it. I told him that the guy has it. I asked him whether the driver was present now as we speak and he said no. I advise that he should call me when the driver is present.**** called me back without the driver and said he reviewed the tape and the driver asked for the keys, and I refused. I told him, that wasn't the case.I needed the key to open my car, place the paperwork in the car and wait.**** said, I have to pay the $175.00 or my car would be towed, and he wouldn't tell me where my car was until it was paid. I was confused and ask why. He said if I didn't pay by 4pm (even though the website state that all fees should be paid at checkout), my car would be towed because they do not have my keys. I was modified. My concerns were, I have my minor child with me, and we live in ***********. Oh My God, I don't know NY well. I also thought that was this was gangster, Taliban, mafia, and taking advantage of a woman opportunity. I am writing because I want you to kindly help me and intervene in getting my $175.00 back. I haven't received the deposit of $34.83 I had to pay in case I came back from my trip late, I was also charged for late check in of $22.00.If you are to send this information to them kindly remove my address. The ticket number I was given was *****. I am really asking for your help as a single mother. Please help me Thank you #Godfirst *********************************Initial Complaint

On 2/8/2024 I went to ***************************** to park my car while I had a plane to catch at *** airport. I paid for this online the day before. Online the total said $65 for the 3 days I needed parking. When I arrived they said the total was $120 because I was being charged a SUV fee even though I drive a sedan. i asked the other people there and they were frustrated because they got charged the same SUV fee even though they had sedans. The worker said its ** Registration Law. I also opted for the $10 late fee in case my plane was delayed. Upon arrival to *** on 2/11/2024 I called them to have a shuttle get me. I arrived 3:45PM and called 4PM. They called 4:05 saying theyre here but I said I am getting my bag if they dont mind waiting 5 minutes. They then said no get the next one in 30 minutes which I was ok with. I called after 30 minutes and they said another 20 minutes. I called and I was upset so I yelled. I told them I think theyre trying to scam people out of the late fee so theyre purposefully late. They then hung up on me and started to block my number. I called again and again and kept getting hung up on. Finally at 5:40PM I get picked up. I demand to speak to a manager and the number they gave me kept going to themselves and they kept ignoring me. Also when I arrived I found my car was in and gas was running. Not only is that a waste but how do I know how long my car was running for. I decided to wait until I can speak to someone. No workers would cooperate. Finally at 7PM a supervisor calls me and after a bunch of BS he admits I drive a sedan and gave me my SUV charge back. But at this point with the 90 minute wait and terrible service I wanted a full refund and they refused! This company is scamming people left and right knowing they have no options because they cannot miss their flights! Please shut them downInitial Complaint

On Aug 25th I booked parking at ************************* through a third party, Airportsparking.com/Way.com. I received an email receipt stating the following price:Sub Total:$99.90 Taxes+Fees:$46.29 Total Amount Paid: $19.98 Pay At Lot:$126.21 When I showed up at the lot on Aug 26th, they told me that I either needed to pay $10 to extend my reservation, or pay a ~$35 temporary charge that I would owe if I return even one minute past the pick-up time I had listed. If I returned by the estimated time, the fee would be returned. I thought this was a bit ridiculous, but said Id pay the $10 fee to extend. They then asked for my card and said my total would be $152.46. I asked where the remaining extra came from, as even with the $10 extra the total would be $136.21. They said the remainder was a card processing fee. I replied that no card processing fee is $16. I pointed out that on the credit card machine they were using, it listed the extra ~$16 as taxes. I noted that since my original charge included $46.29 of taxes and fees already, they cant charge additional taxes. They refused to accept my reservation or let me leave my car unless I paid the full fee. I said I would Pat $136.21, but that it should not be higher than that. I tried calling the third party website, airportsparking.com to let them know that the lot was not adhering to the third-party agreement and was charging clients extra, and the man I spoke to stated that its up to the individual parking lot, even though it specifically stated in my receipt that at the lot I would owe $126.21, and the reservation was made based on this information. I would have missed my flight if I didnt pay, so I paid the amount but let them know it was not legal. I would like my billing adjusted to reflect the original $126.21 price that was reflected in my original receipt. If they are utilizing a third-party to book clients at a specific rate, that rate should be upheld.Initial Complaint

Booked parking at ************************** (on credit card charged as ******* Enterprise) for agreed upon amount of $147.38 on April 6th, brought car to lot prior to flying out of ** for vacation. Parked car and asked twice if anything additional was needed prior to leaving, was told no, just leave the car and get on the bus for the shuttle. No other information provided. Hours later, called while boarded on plane that car was parked in wrong section and they needed the keys immediately to move the car. We explained we are already on the plane and reiterated we asked many times for instructions or if the company needed anything from us before leaving. Representative started yelling that he would have our car towed if we don't zelle him $175.00. Was given until 8am the next day to send payment or tow would occur. Requested to speak to manager, representative continued to yell and would not allow credit card payment or other payment, zelle only to email address. ***** sent that night to avoid tow. Received text at 8am the next day that zelle not received and towing company on their way. My husband called and they looked and finally "found" payment, and cancelled tow. Credit card charged full original amount in addition to zelle for parking in "wrong" location after that is where we were directed and not told to give key to anyone.
