  I've tried really hard to eliminate hard mail, but since I travel abroad for long periods of time, I need a service like iPostal for forwarding. I've used other mail forwarding services, and although iPostal seemed more economical, the separate charges for scanning, shredding, etc. actually make it more expensive... I was also confused about the difference and connection between the local people - whom I met in person and are great - and iPostal??? This is not a business account - it's just my personal mail. Honestly, traveling abroad means having to pay attention to so many things that are constantly changing between countries, maybe I need to take time to read more about exactly HOW iPostal works and their charges? At least I know if a piece of unwanted hard mail slips through :( it's covered. Usually, it's something that needs shredding - but there's an additional charge for that... With the other service I used, there was one monthly fee that covered a certain amount of scans and shreds. IF you went over that, there was an additional charge. Also, of course there was an additional charge for depositing checks, and forwarding mail. There doesn't seem to be much out there to choose from for mail forwarding - and iPostal is working for now. I do feel slightly vulnerable, but unless there's a BIG surprise, I shouldn't be getting much hard mail fingers crossed.
