1 starI have never had an account with ******************** and now because some other debt collection company is contacting me stating I owe an amount totaling $2903.65. I have reported this to the Consumers ************************* and have been trying desperately to find a way to contact CIT bank for acquire further verification, but to no avail, because when I go the website it now says the CIT bank is permanently closed. I am trying so hard to get this matter resolved because I never, I repeat NEVER had an account with ********************. I am at my **** end trying to resolve thisReview fromKendra V.

1 starThis is the second part of my review, regarding my *** account and my new Citi business checking account.Im continuing where I left off in the other review. So Im now waiting on the check to come back, trying my best to be patient. Two weeks goes by and no check. I then contact the *** ********** again and they said they had sent it out a week ago. I told them I had not received the check. They then proceed to give me the tracking number, to find out where the package was. When I called **** they advised me that it was dropped off at a home, that had an outdoor mat, with wine bottle decorations on it.I told them that I dont have that type of rug outside of my house. The first time I provided the representative with my address, they didnt catch the fact that the address was wrong. My $57,000 retirement check, was sent to the wrong address. Money that I worked 11 years to earn. This check is sitting at the wrong address. These days people can find different ways to cash checks. They could have cashed my check. So upon finding out the address that it was delivered to, I went over to the home several times, to attempt to get my check. The *** driver attempted to retrieve it as well. The people who lived there were never home. I then proceeded to contact the original people who sent the check to me, to have it cancelled and receive another check. This has now been about a two month process. I had to now wait to receive the new check.Bear in mind, the people in the ********* knew who both of the checks were written by and said it was ok to proceed with sending the second check and doing the transaction. Both of the checks were from a ********** Teachers retirement. One was just written out differently then the other. The remaining portion of this review will be in my next review post.Review fromDanesh M

1 starWorst Bank . Doesnt return your deposit . I deposited $7000 for 6 months and 12 months . They dont answer the calls . They do all around so that I cant reach customer service . When I call them the wait is 45 minutes and in the middle they hang up . I want *********** back . I have no recourse but calling them back without any result or response . Extremely frustrated .Review fromNicole N

2 starsCitibank is now practicing trapping customer service methods. I have been a Citibank member since **** and this year is THE WORST! The great practice of transparency of your daily balance has dwindled. The Citibank app has a delay that doesnt process your current daily balance- which displays pending transactions and available balance- is now disabled. I am ACTIVELY looking to close my account and searching for a bank I have gotten false negative balances, delays in payments past the standard 3-business days to post and eventually change in two days. Moreover, I have gotten my card declined because Ive made multiple purchases in the same store Its embarrassing and I am sick of the constant dependency on calling Citibank only to get a foreign customer service rep who cant even understand my issue or question. I am totally disgusted!Review fromBOB c

1 starCIT Bank is unprofessional and unable to complete banking on a competent, professional level. I scheduled a single transfer for July 7. It did not post to my CIT Bank account until July 12, at which point another ERRONEOUS transfer in the same amount had also been completed. CIT Bank stole $30,000 of my money because their infrastructure is so antiquated and not at all customer-friendly. I highly advise people to seek other companies that are set up to handle a high-yield savings account without creating unnecessary transfers and potential overdraft fees for customers.Review fromAnand M

1 stari had several online savings accounts since many years. the bank denied access to my accounts without first notifying me, after several phone calls having to wait as long as 45 minuets each time talking to few clerks, i was informed account is under review thats why i have no access and some one would call me from back office, but no one did, i called again and cleark informed my account was in process of closing withut any reason given and was told i will receive the letter of explainintion in the mail.i only receive letter, my accounts were in process of being closed in 10 days working days.I was very disturb at their behavior and explanation as each time clearks will talk to back office and put me on hold over 45 minutes to find out and answer my enquiry as they were trying to keep inforatmtion hidden and tell me what they were told from back office. the funds were mailed after 3 weeks which caused me lots of pain and suffering as i had no access to my funds for 3 weeks.Over the years i had many accounts with several banks and had never expeirece such as this with this bank.I had to file complaint with FDIC and consumer Finance protection bureau to resolve this matter.Review fromAbhay S

1 starI had filled the formal joint account opening application and followed the steps. They asked for additional documents upload, I did same but the website for uploading doc was very c*** No confirmation on update, I had to call call center and ensure the files are received.Still I received another email asking for more docs with no link to upload so I called customer care again to see files are already with them. In few hours also received email that my application is rejected with no reason , no clue what's the issue. Again calling CIT customer care was bad as they also had no clue, I raised complain and they said someone will call but its a week done no one called, and got no response to my emails. Not sure what to call this a system failure, sloppy customer service or just another discrimination!Really disappointed with the service and support!Review fromJelveh M

1 starI received an email stating CIT offers high interest savings account. I opened an account and transferred two large amounts from another savings account I have with another bank to the account I opened with CIT. It has been over a week now and CIT is holding my money hostage. They deducted the money from my other account right away, but over a week later it is still not showing under available balance. The first few days it didnt even show up under my account and so for those day I lost a lot of interest while I was waiting for CIT to decide to process it so that it would show under my account. And now over A WEEK later it still doesnt show in available balance. It is my money and CIT is holding on to it. This should be against the law. I need my money to be showing and earning interest. Thats the reason I opened the account with them. I will be sure not to transfer any more money to the account with CIT, if this is how they handle their account,Review fromLee L

1 star***BEWARE***Been a customer of bank for a decade and they randomly and involuntarily closed my account in good standing and would not release the money on deposit. They said it will take 10 days for the account closure process!I need access to my money now and was not given any notice of their disgraceful actions! A bank freezes a customer deposit with zero notice and not reason is NOT a bank you want to be depositing your money with!CIT Group, Inc. is NOT a BBB Accredited Business.
