1 starMy sweet husband tried to surprise me for my birthday with a gift card to be used at my favorite salon/spa for a facial and a massage. He mistakenly thought that because it was an Aveda salon that meant that they would take an Aveda gift card. Apparently, this is not the case. There are no Aveda salons in our area that I can find that will accept Aveda gift cards for services. We have tried calling Aveda gift card services three times now and they absolutely refuse to return the gift card. They are saying that they never accept returns of gift cards but especially because I opened the email that informed me that I had received one. We have zero interest in a $300 gift card for a lifetime of shampoo. Please reimburse ** for this misleading purchase and restore my faith in Aveda.Review fromAnna S

1 starI placed an order last month and I didn't receive it, I called customer service to ask about my package, they said I have to go to *** to pick it up. I told them I was busy and couldn't get there and the package was delayed for more than 2 weeks and I don't want it anymore, please help me send it back to the company sender (Este Lauder), they agreed and waited for a while. few days they will refund my credit card. I also called my bank to tell them about the problem as I did not receive the package. I have waited over 2 weeks Estee Lauder still no refund to my credit card and I dispute them with my credit card. My credit card helps me get my credit back. I thought everything was fine until yesterday, my account credit was adjusted to Estee Lauder purchase, they gave me the package tracking number that the sender gave them. I was very angry and surprised and I watched the packet being sent back to the sender.04/03/2023 1:31 pm Return to sender *******, **, *** 04/03/2023 8:46 am Delivery today *******, **, *** I called customer service and told them I didn't receive any packages why your company is still charging me and they passed to supervisor who told me that I needed to pick up the Package was still in place *** Access Point and called the shipping company to talk to me and the service told me to give them my email and they would send a track to i know where to get it.. In the end the shipping company didn't email me at all, I'm very angry but I want everything to be clear. I traced the tracking number, went to the *** store and showed them this tracking address to pick up the item. The service says the correct address, but the package is not here. Finally, I didn't receive any packages, Why is Estee Lauder irresponsible and still trying to charge my credit card? 1 starI strongly advise anyone to think twice before shopping at this store and supporting a company that promotes discrimination and prejudice. On March 4th, I had a deeply disturbing experience at the **************** Store located in the **********************. As an Asian customer, I was subjected to discrimination and hostility by the store manager named *********When I asked her about a product, she responded dismissively and sarcastically, leaving me feeling belittled and disrespected. However, I observed her treating a white customer with kindness and respect later on.When I requested **** to retrieve a specific shade of *************** foundation for me from the back, she informed me that she didn't have the shade I wanted and offered me a different one instead. As I turned to compare the shades with the testers, she yelled at me to return the foundation to the shelf and not take it over to the testers. Her tone was very aggressive and intimidating, leaving me feeling humiliated and embarrassed in front of other customers.I later went back to confront **** about her behavior, but she denied any wrongdoing and dismissively said, "I'm sorry you felt that way. I treat every customer equally." Furthermore, another white female employee stood by her and supported her, claiming that **** had never been racist before, even though she wasn't present during the incident. It appeared that this wasn't the first time the store had received this type of complaint, and their nonchalant attitude suggested that there would likely be no consequences for being racist toward customers.I'm deeply disappointed that the **************** Store would promote racism by employing individuals like **** and even promoting her to a manager position. 1 star************ tempt customers with promotions, and if you buy a lot, you will find the date is out of the validity period, and they are not responsible. The customer service is very rude. 1 starBUYER BEWARE! I never received an online order I placed and paid for just over three months ago. I attempted to find out why I never received the order by calling the customer service department THREE different times. Each time I was told a replacement order was being "expedited" to me, yet I never received the order of my products. I called customer service a FOURTH time, and I was told an ***** supervisor decided to cancel the original order in their system, issuing me a full credit for the order, and that I was to place a new order myself, which is what I did. However, as usual, ***** did not do what they claimed - no cancellation of the original order was done and no credit was issued. I contacted the customer service department a FIFTH time, and was told that a credit was being "expedited immediately to a supervisor for approval" and that my problem will be resolved. but of course, the credit did not happen. Once again, being very frustrated from the lack of action and service I have received, and the fact I have still paid over $200 for products I NEVER RECEIVED, I contacted the customer service department for the SIXTH time I was ASSURED a supervisor would call me back as soon as possible. After two and a half hours, and no call from ******* customer service supervisor, I was extremely irate and called ***** a SEVENTH time to explain that since I have been charged for an order place over three months ago that I have NEVER received, the only way this problem can be classified is basically theft by the company. At that point, the customer service representative hung up on me. There is no other way to explain my situation - ***** is happy to take money for orders that are not delivered, and then repeatedly lie to customers about how they are going to resolve customer problems!Review fromTM W

1 starI would give this company 0 stars, but the BBB does not let you. Endocrine disruptors & carcinogenic ingredients hidden under plant powered and environmentally friendly marketing just to charge you 3x's the price of true clean/green products. I am ashamed to have used these products for years without looking into their ingredients more thoroughly. I downloaded the "****" app and scanned the barcode with great anticipation KNOWING these products would be all they were touted to be. Imagine my shock/anger when the ingredients reveal known endocrine disruptors, harsh chemicals, preservatives and synthetic scents. I called the company to ask for their explanation and was told to look up the ingredients on their website because most chemical compounds HAVE to be listed as their scientific name even if their source is plant-derived. So, I did. And, all the chemicals I had problems with and checked ON THEIR WEBSITE list them as synthetic. Thankfully, the **** app lists alternatives and I have found new products that I can trust that happily cost 1/3rd the price. I hope others find this information helpful.Review fromLauren M

1 starThe reviews on the website are obviously fraudulent. There are a ton from the Pacific NW, and the spelling of the cities is often wrong - always 5 star reviews with broken English. It actually should be looked into and there should be consequences for the company. Most of the other positive reviews are from free samples of the products. Also, their return policy is awful. I've received items as a gift and I'd like to return them without the gift-giver knowing. Their website says to contact customer service if this is the case. Upon contacting them, they said "yes, you can return them, and the money will be refunded back to the gift-giver." Well, how does that make sense if you're trying not to offend them? This is literally the shadiest company. It's truly sad to say considering I worked for the company for a couple of years. I had my online account for YEARS. My most recent order was charged the incorrect amount, and it took me 5 separate tries with their chat support to get my correct refund that I was owed! I was owed a $98 refund. They refunded 20 cents! So I figured it was a technical issue and gave them another chance. They then refunded only $30. I had to contact them AGAIN and they finally and reluctantly refunded the remaining $68. After they finally resolved the refund issue, they just deleted my account! So I reached out to chat support 3 more times, and each time they claim my account never existed. HOW RIDICULOUS! It's almost like they deleted my account because they had such a hard time trying to give me a refund. They transferred me to a "supervisor" named ******** online. And she kept claiming ALL of my orders over the past 5+ years have been "guest checkouts" and that my account never existed. THIS IS RIDICULOUS. I literally placed orders under my account after signing in, had favorites saved, had order histories, pro membership, even have email histories of prior issues with my account like password resets in the past, etc. The audacity to just delete an account because you're reluctant to give a refund, and try to claim that I'm lying? Literally would never recommend this company to anyone.Estee Lauder Companies

MAC PRO reached out to this customer to resolve the issue.At some point, the customer's account was deactivated. Due to a typographical error, when the account was reinstated, there was a spelling error with the customers email address. We can confirm that this customer's MAC PRO account is active. We explained the above to the customer, and requested she confirm if she would like her account history moved to her correct email address. We also extended an e-Gift Card toward a future order as a gesture of goodwill.Review fromClement W
