      Multiple attempts have been made to contact my local representative and corporate headquarters regarding my policy. Unfortunately 100% of my calls are answered outside the US and I can't understand them and they can't transfer me to corporate. I found a number online for their corporate headquarters; however, it thanks you for calling and automatically disconnects.

      At the end of June, 2022 I contacted Equitable Customer Support & requested a fax number of where to send my form to take out some money from my 401K. On June 26th I sent the fax. The next day I called to make sure they received the paperwork & that everything was ok. First red flag. I was told I had been given the "OLD" fax number so I had to resend the fax to a different # The following day I refaxed it & again called to make sure it arrived and things were fine. For the month of July, every time I called there was always something missing from the paperwork. They did not provide a list of everything that was missing. It was dribbled out to me piece by piece. It wasn't until the end of July that the person I spoke with told me that I had filled out the wrong paperwork. 2nd red flag. Why did It take a month of them having the paperwork for someone to realize this? On approx. July 26th I sent the correct paperwork in. It was the same story all over again. Every time I called to check on it, I was told there was something missing. They never gave me a list of items that needed to be corrected so that I could have fixed them all at one time. It would have saved ************ to streamline this process. There is always an excuse. This company is incompetent in so many ways. I have been trying to access my money since the end of June. A process that should have only taken 8 business days has now taken 2 months and still no money. I ended up having to borrow money from a friend because I could not get what I needed in time. My husband has ***** * ********** ********** ****** and we desperately need this money. What we did not need was the extra stress this has put on us. I called again on 8/25, while my husband was having a **** ****** done. During that call, I requested to speak w/ a supervisor. I was told they were not able to transfer me. I can not express how distressing this whole process has been.
