      I have been trying to withdraw my account for 6 months. They have told me to fill out a form. Once I sent it in, they denied me. I spoke to ****** ***** and he scheduled me for an account review. At the time of the meeting his didnt call, didnt send me a zoom link, didnt answer my calls or texts. Its very odd that this company sent an agent to basically hound me down in my classroom and walk me through every step of the paperwork when I signed up, but now that I want to withdraw there is absolutely ZERO assistance. My name is ****** ******** and I hope other people dont make the same mistake I made by signing up for a 403b with this company. I am looking into getting a lawyer to help me sue for negligence. Holding my money hostage is the shadiest business practice Ive ever experienced in my life.

      Awful company!!!! Completely incompetent in every aspect! I filed a death claim on April 9 and didnt receive any communication from the company. After 12 phone calls I finally received payment on June 30 but it was in the incorrect amount!!! Do mot do any business with them!!!! I am in the process of taking legal action!

      Equitable is a giant scam!! My annuity matured and benefits were supposed to be initiated, but someone in the company acted without authority and arbitrarily rolled the annuity into a new account. When I called to straighten out the mess, the "customer service representative" gave me a litany of BS excuses for their fraudulent actions. I have called multiple times over the last three months, yet Equitable agents continue to misdirect and delay; promises are made, but nothing happens. Initially this seemed to be a case of gross incompetence, but judging from the similar situations others have suffered this looks more like systemic larceny. Since Equitable is making no effort to fulfill their financial obligation, my next appeal will be to the Consumer Financial *****************.

      They renewed my life insurance without communicating me and when i asked them to cancel my policy , they didn't do it and they didn't return my money which was charged for 4 months. I had to call my bank and put hold on their payments. I called them multiple times and they were disconnecting my calls. Submitted an email via their secured channel but no response. I told them I would be filing a complaint in public platform still no response. They are so irresponsible , unprofessional and fraud.

      The absolute worst investor we have ever had. Nothing but lies and deceit. Dont believe when they tell you they are a fiduciary. Advisor invested all our money in 31 high priced stocks and we are retirees. No capital preservation at all. This advisor was the only one who made money. He didnt care about protecting our nest egg. He lost half of our money. Made investments without talking to us about anything. Talked us into terminating 2 annuities saying that our guaranteed 6% was a lie without even knowing what type of annuities we had. He said the money that we would get from selling the annuities would be better off being invested by him. He said we would only pay termination fees which we would get back in a year with him. We lost close to $40000 from terminating the annuities let alone the money we would have received from keeping our annuities. I wouldnt be surprised if he got a kickback from us selling these annuities which we had for years. Dont believe what an advisor who acts more like a used car salesman tells you. I trusted him but should have known what type of business man he was when we came to meet him for the first time and he wore shorts. Most people dont know much about investing and this advisor had a canned answer for everything we asked him. Now we are stuck with 31 stocks that he even admitted he bought at a high price. I can only pray for karma to teach him a lesson. I have filed a complaint with ***** and ***. How does someone like this sleep at night? Stay away from Equitable Investors. This advisor works out of the *******, ********** Go to a certified financial planner who specializes with retirees. I wish I had read all the negative reviews before trusting him and his company. Wasnt there a manager monitoring his accounts? I guess nobody there cared about his work. Shame on them!

      I have been trying to rollover my annuity for 3 weeks now on my own, since I could not get ahold of my advisor. After submitting all the necessary paperwork, I am told that there is a missing document, even though I have proof that they received it. I send it again and when I check they tell me they have everything necessary for processing. I call back several days later to check the status and they tell me they cannot process unless I send in all paperwork together. They cannot accept the single document and include it with the rest of the paperwork. What? Every step of the way, they make up excuses for not proceeding forward with my rollover. It has been nothing but aggravation, time and additional money. Every other review that I have read confirms that.

      This company is VERY difficult to work with! I have been working unsuccessfully with their customer service team for three months now to try and setup a direct deposit on my account. Working with their customer service representatives has been a mixed bag at best. Some of the customer service representatives have seemed like they are trying to be helpful but they have not been able to give me the correct information to process this request. At this point, I’ve filled out multiple forms and submitted multiple copies of voided checks and still the direct deposit has not been established. Unfortunately, other customer service representatives have been outright rude. I’ve been told that the process for setting up direct deposit is the responsibility of another department (or a third party service) and the representative 1) doesn’t know what is causing the issue, 2) they are not able to help resolve the issue and 3) they have refused to connect me with someone who can resolve the issue. This is the worst customer service team I’ve worked with in many years! I strongly recommend you do not do business with this company!!!

      This company is criminal and absolutely awful, It seems like their primary business model is taking advantage of people who have recently lost loved ones. I've struggled with them for years to figure out how to manage an inherited account. They routinely add new obstacles to try and prevent me from accessing the funds. It seems like this is a common thing with them. **************** is terrible, communication is terrible, and I would suggest avoiding them at all costs.

      I closed my account and was waiting frantically for my check in the mail. I called **************** several times until they asked if I would like for them to reissue me a new check, but told me I had to wait 4 days for the stop payment on the check and after the payment stopped, an additional 7-10 business days to receive the new check. I immediately had a severe anxiety attack on the phone. The *** put me on hold and told me they could reissue me a new check the next day via ****** I was grateful but completely mortified and had suffered severe aggravation to my disability. Then it got worse. Two days later I called to get the tracking number from customer service, and found out they had been mailing my checks to the wrong address this whole time. And when I suffered from ANOTHER anxiety attack and asked to speak with a manager, all I was given was an apology and no explanation as to why my checks where being sent to the wrong address. When I had Broken down anxiously two days prior about my financial hardship and how desperate I needed that money. Ridiculous. I told them I would be filing a complaint.

      ********* purchased a ***** life insurance for my Mom as a kid in the 1940's. When he died in the 1970's my Mom paid over $1*****. over her lifetime. Into this policy for her kids. My mom passed this year and Guess what we got paid out on this 80 year old policy. $1000.They claim she never changed it to a different policy.. Did they ever talk to her about changing it. $1000 Eighty years ago was alot of money. ***** is a lot of money now for a 1000 policy. Do not ever use this company.
