    Buyer be ware, this company is a ripoff. My hot water heating went out I call in a claim that was denied because I have a storage tank which they now claim they dont cover. This company leads you to believe that your appliances and equipment are covered only to fine out when something breaks **** not covered. Your claim will be denied. I wish I had read the reviews before I invested in this company. The company told me this is what covered under my plan.Comprehensive Plan What's **************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************** Leak Heating System Hot Water Pump Refrigerator Icemaker Microwave Oven Stove Cooktop Pest Control Plumbing Stoppage Plumbing System Refrigerator Smoke Detector Sump Pump Telephone Wiring Washer Dispenser Hot Water Water Heater Water Leak Whirlpool As you can see the water heater is listed and nothing is mentioned about a storage tank. ******. They are not up front we trying to sell their services.

    The Home Service Club warranty has transitioned to a fully automated system, which has eliminated the possibility of speaking with a live representative to appeal a denied services request. I have been assigned a case manager; however, I have yet to receive any communication regarding my air handler repair and the rationale behind its denial. The only correspondence I received was a vague, generic message stating that "the failure does not constitute normal wear and tear." This statement is unclear and raises questions regarding its application to a leaky air handler. Attempts to reach a supervisor or manager have proven fruitless. It is unacceptable for customers to experience such inadequate and unprofessional service. Furthermore, a technician was dispatched to my condo to inform me that my service request had been denied, and the technician retained my deductible without providing any service. I'm not in the business of giving away my hard-earned money. As a result, I am compelled to reconsider my membership with The Home Service Club Warranty company. I am currently unable to obtain the primary contact number for the headquarters, nor can I acquire any contact information for the company's executives, including the president. This raises a significant concern regarding how a company can assess its effectiveness in fulfilling its mission to serve customers when there is a lack of accessible communication with the relevant parties.

    I was making monthly payments for over 1 year to cover all my home appliances for 2 homes and when my water heater stopped working they didn't fix it or replaced as they were supposed the manager didn't want to help solve the problem so I cancelled .

    I SUBMITTED A CLAIM ON 2/03/24(2227406-CLAIM #). THE SERVICE REQUESTED WAS FOR ***AIR ON MY PORTABLE SPA. THE CIRCUIT BOARD AND HEATING UNIT NEEDS ***LACING. MY CLAIM WAS DENIED DUE TO THE PROVISIONS THAT IT IS A PORTABLE SPA AND NOT A BUILT IN SPA. WHEN PURCHASING MY CONTRACT AND DISCUSSIONWITH THE ***** *** I PAID EXTRA MONIES FOR THIS OPTION COVERAGE. I WAS NOT TOLD THAT MY PORTABLE SPA WAS NOT COVERED WHEN PURCHASING THE NEW CONTRACT. SMELLS LIKE A BAIT AND SWITCH SCAM. SO HOME SERVICE CLUB HAVE DENIED COVERAGE,SAYS THEY ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ***** *** THAT ***RESENT HOME WARRANTY WHEN SELLING HOME WARRANTIES AND WILL NOT REFUND ME THE MONIES THAT WAS PAID FOR OPTIONAL SERVICES THAT I WAS SOLD AND COULD NEVER USE. ALSO I PAID A 95 DOLLAR SERVICE FEE TO A CONTRACTOR TO DIAGNOSE EQUIPMENT THAT WAS NOT COVERED BUT THEY CHARGED ME FOR IT. BE CAREFUL AS THEY WILL PUT ALL RESPONSIBILTY ON THE CONSUMER AFTER YOUR MONIES ARE COLLECTED.     This company is a joke after several phone calls about my water heater they finally send a company out 8 days later then they down the claim stating in the contract that this part is not covered yet I never received a contract. Then after my appeal I get a emai saying they got the diagnosis and it is covered but when I call they said that email went out in error now I am stuck with the bill and keep calling to no avail to have them reimburse me and they will not let me cancel the plan a give me back my money for the remainder of this scam of a contract

    I canceled my contract with Home service club cause they never fix anything always an excuse. I received a letter after I canceled stating I would be getting a refund in ***** days this was back in September this is November I want my money I paid for 4 years ***** a month I have a Running Balance ******* they are horrible or Scam artist. Next step I will file in court I have all my Emails from Home Service club with proof

    We purchased this warranty so that we wouldnt have the headaches of dealing with these problems. . We have a hot water heater that went bad on June 6 2024 and is covered by the warranty. They sent a tech to our house on June 11th, who told them that hot water tank needed replaced. They do not want to replace the tank so we are going on week 7 with no hot water. They keep saying that our claim is in the que and once a tech responds they will contact us. Now they have us blocked so we can no longer make contact with them. We feel like they should let this tech replace the hot water tank instead of us going this long without hot water tank. If they cant resolve the problem we would like a refund of the money we paid for this warranty. But I would stay clear of this group as they do not honor their warranty.

    Absolutely terrible! I have comprehensive coverage plus service and utility line coverage on two separate properties. Ive been requesting service since April. I still have not had my issue looked at.

    I sued the Home Service Club Warranty Corp. (HSC) in Benton County District Court and won a Small Claims Judgment by default of $10,000 for a complete Heating and air conditioning system failure that HSC had denied the claim on. HSC did not bother to contest the issue because they know I cannot collect since they are in ************* and I am in ****************. After talking to collection attorneys and collection agencies in *** it appears that the $10,000 judgement isn't enough to cover the expenses involved in the collection process in ********.

    I would give this NO STARS, for this service contract that is supported by AARP, among others yet still does not handle seniors claims with priority. My mother has an A/C unit not working correctly since April 2023. It is now JUNE 2024 and her units do not work. The temps in IL are in the 100s, yet when calling customer ********************** or making claims online - no resolve! She has gotten as far as a contractor assigned who has been aggressive towards her and working with her and this company and still no working units. The contractor has attempted to extort more money from her because this service company wont pay him. She was forced to pay for portion of the system that they claim they would not cover but required by her state. She is on social security/fixed income and already pays for a service contract here, why would not everything be covered? She was told her card would not be charged until the service completed, yet she was charged the same day and STILL NO A/C. Still the claim agent has not called; the contractor has not been paid or hired to work; meanwhile, her health continues to decline. Even expressing to the company that she has pre existing health issues of a stroke BUT STILL cannot get this repaired during the high heat season! The 800-601-xx09 continues to say someone will contact you in 4 hrs yet NO contacts made unless its from her to them reporting no one contacted her. Now they are saying a call or email. This seems unreasonable. Apparently is no higher department to escalate to - no one higher in command/management beyond *********************** WHO DOES NOT COMPLY with service requests. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS SERVICE, especially to Seniors! It is very unfortunate that at this point my mother will need to find another location to leave until this waiting game gets resolved in order to avoid continued health risks. I would welcome a call from corporate or ANYONE from Home Service Club Warranty who can actually fix this issue.
