    This company is very good at processing your payment for the policy. I paid over $1000 for the warranty and I have been waiting over a month for a replacement dishwasher. The tech stated the dishwasher needed to be repaired, home service club keeps telling me day after day that we need to hear back from the tech/company. I think it would have been better not to get this warranty and to pay for these items out of pocket. I feel cheated.

    This is a scam company. Their policy is designed to protect them from actually covering anything. Please read the contract before signing. They selectively choose which technicians to work with and have a default deny policy.

    BUYERS BEWARE!Greedy company with horrid service for multiple claims.1. Paid extra to have irrigation covered. I have an open claim for 35 days now and not a single technician has come to our home. They have reassigned the case 4 times now and once it was even inaccurately closed as completed so we had to start a new claim.2. ********** had a hole burned in the bottom by the element and the technician said it could not be fixed and must be replaced. The company is giving ** $246 Lowes gift card to buy a new one (the cheapest Lowes has is $600). Contacted claim specialists three times and they claim they reserve the right in the contract to determine what the "wholesale" cost is pay that to us, not what a "retail" price is. I asked if I could purchase a dishwasher through them at this "wholesale" cost and they said I cannot. I asked where I can buy a dishwasher "wholesale" at this cost and they said I cannot. I said their contract is deceptive in its language and misleading to its consumer and they said there is nothing they can do and this is the amount they payout. I then pointed out that in their email which gives me the Lowes gift card for $246 (which is supposed to cover a new dishwasher along with its installation) that the explanation they provide about the amount provided is, verbatim: "*Amount offered in lieu of replacement is based on the national average price of a Dishwasher with similar features, ************************ ********************** said "it doesn't matter what the language of the email says, it only matters what the contract says." No apology for communication discrepancy or confusing mixed messages.3. I asked to file a formal complaint with their company and asked to speak with a department that handles that or with a supervisor. The separate claims specialists told me that they themselves are who I would file the complaint directly with them and that their supervisor does not speak with customers.****** and no accountability.

    Purchased policy for three years in September 2021. In Nov 2022 we called company because our hot water tank, we were getting no hot water. Company took the info and said they would dispatch out. We waited for three and a half weeks for tech. We called several times during that time to get update. They couldnt find anyone to make a service call. We asked a few times if we could find someone to come in and pay them, be re-inbursed for repair. The customer ********************** rep. replied for us to be patient and let them continue to try to find someone. I raised a fuss, I was then told that we could file a reimbursment claim, fill out form online, wait to have it reviewed, then see if it was approved or not. They did almost 4 weeks later. The person came from *************************, **, the service tech said the company did not want to pay the tech gas mileage, but they finally did. The tech was coming from 2 and a half hrs away. And the home waranty would not wave service fee. We have been without heat for 3 days, called The Home Service Club (Home Waranty) today about 2 leaks in pipes leading to boiler, we can not run heat, water sprays all over the basement floor. And I explained because of our last experience with them, we could not wait with NO heat, we had a company that could come in tomorrow to repair, if we could put in for a reimbursment claim? I was told NO, They would have to dispatch and we would have to wait.WE HAVE NO HEAT. The Customer ********************** Rep said he could not expedite the claim either.I was also told that they were not a " EMERGENCY SERVICE" .. I WOULD LIKE A TOTAL REFUND......

    When I got this home warranty, I was very hopeful that they would be able to meet my needs however, this has been a complete nightmare. I am very sorry that i did not research more before making my decision to purchase this company's warranty. My furnace stopped working on 11/20/22 Sunday morning so i called in to file a claim (it was 13 degrees outside) customer rep said i should get a call/email within a few hours from a technician. fast forward almost 48 hours later and they still cannot find a technician even though thru multiple phone calls/emails I have given them 4 reputable companies in my area. They have also tried to get me to go thru their reimbursement process, but I know that (seeing more reviews across the internet) that I would probably go thru a huge battle to try (if ever) get reimbursed. I wish I would have gone with a different company. I will probably end up calling someone out and have to pay for it all out of pocket. HUGE ****** LEARNED. and I consider myself a very intelligent person. I wouldn't recommend anyone to this company. I had to give the company one star in order to leave the review. This is an ongoing claim.

    Fake company my furnace went out and before workmen contacted them they wrote a denial text. Sent workmen here that I never heard of and didn't know how to turn on my furnace. ******* said my unit was not maintained which I had a warranty before this company that sent out people all the time. Plus my husband works at furnace place. They don't call you back nor resolve anything. I had to jump start one ********* truck and the next one sent out came here a hour late and was wet with super clean clothes. He forgot his wallet had to leave and when he came back his wife was nagging him when washed coming home the whole time he was here. He didn't get to my home till four in the evening. This is a scam company

    ****CUSTOMERS BEWARE*****When I got this home warranty I was very hopeful that they would be able to meet my needs if they arise however, this has not been the case. Ive called on them twice regarding my A/C. The companies that they continue to send out continue to inadequately misdiagnose the A/C issues. The claim rep that I was assigned (*************************) was very rude when speaking to me about my claim. ******* didnt seem to care at all about my concerns or situation and when I asked to speak to his/her manager I was told that I couldnt and that she/he was as high up as I could speak with and that there was no one above that I could speak with. This company doesnt seem to cover any of my A/C issues and I dont see the need to have them. I deeply regret spending my hard earned money with this company. This is my for year with this company and may be the last if Im not able to receive any resolve. The coverage is horrible the customer ********************** is horrible and at this point I wouldnt recommend anyone to this company. Giving this company a one star is too high but I had to give something to leave the review

    When I got this warranty the representative I spoke to assured me it was fine that my home was old and they would cover systems and appliances with wear and tear. I signed ** in June 2019. Then in December 2020 my water heater failed. My claim was denied and no help was given because of every little thing they could find wrong with it that they would not cover. Fast forward to December of 2021: a pipe burst. My claim was denied. Cost of repair was $650 out of pocket. HSC wouldn't have offset any of that until I said I was going to cancel. I agreed to stay on when they offered to reimburse some of what I paid to get it fixed. Finally, we are in August of 2022. My outside AC unit fails. Compressor has gone bad. It's old, from ****. Technician recommends replacing the unit. HSC... guess what? Right. My claim was denied. I decided to appeal. I was supposed to receive a follow up email within 24 hours. I waited 4 days with no follow up email with a case manager's information. After checking my email again and seeing nothing, I decided it was time to cancel. The only thing I really got from this company was paying a service fee to be told "no we will not help you."

    My refrigerator failed a month after the *** 30 day waiting period due to a compressor failure and they refused to repair or replace the appliance stating that it was a preexisting condition prior to my purchasing a 12 month agreement, which is not true because the refrigerator was working fine. I will be taking them to Small Claims Court in *** to fight this since the tech even stated that a compressor failure could happen at any time. Avoid this company!

    Wish i could leave ZERO stars Absolutely terrible company to work with. I called them to fix my induction stove stop. -They sent a ***** tech. He sent the paperwork and report. But they rejected the claim b/c ***** uses a different portal to communicate repairs/coding (not *****' fault)-Then they scheduled a second tech, who I find out day of svc that he is not taking on new customers at the time. Puts me back another week or two.-Third guy comes. Sends diagnosis to them. He finally gets the part he needs but it is the wrong part (puts me back 2 weeks). In the meantime I get an email from HSC saying "great news we're replacing your stove top" I find out they are offering $371 for a $2000 item.-I talk to a supervisor, ***** * and she says that that's company policy. So i say fine, send me $371 and I'll cancel my policy with them. She says they would mail a check.-3 weeks later I receive a gift card to ***** for $371, instead of the check. This is just ridiculous. -I call HSC and they say nothing they can do.-I email ***** and her reply was the exact following: "The funds is for ***** electronic funds and it was already processed once processed we cannot change format, however funds do not expire and can be used for any purchase online or in store at Lowes."-They NEVER told me that a gift card would be sent instead of a refund. They are duplicitous, misleading and I will cancel my account and file a case with the BBB and demand a refund of my payments. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!
