      I submitted forms on August fifth , and just called and they said do it again August sixteenth. Their email is customerservice metlife at dxc com and it does not work. They keep losing the email. **************** is horrible. Never use this company, I have been a member since for over sixty-one years...

      Worst insurance company ever. I bought an illness and wellness plan for my cat. It is hard to get the reimbursement money from them. They claim it takes 10 business days, while turns out to be more than 1 month. I moved across states and they updated my address by setting a new policy with resetting the deductible to zero without informing me that. You never expect to get your money back as they charge you very on time.

      My name is ***************** and my experience with MetLife has been horrible. It took them a month and 5 days to restart my case just because my job wouldn't accommodate my restrictions then switched my shirt term to long-term before the 6 month period. Now I have to wait 30 more days possibly to start receiving check. My bills are toast and they have no excuse why it took so long to reopen my claim or why they switched it to long-term so quickly. Worse insurance I've ever had. Definitely bottom of the barrel.

      ***** * I truly believe that the employees at MetLife are no longer licensed insurance agents but simply people who are hired to answer the phone from home. They are no longer helpful, knowledgeable, or professional. It is a headache having to deal with these people. My advice is- do not do business with this company.

      This review is toward Metlife Vision. My spouse bought glasses from her eye doctor, who is not in network with Metlife. We have done this before with different insurance companies and the in network and out of network coverage has always been the same. I looked online before we bought them and it didn't say anything about the benefits being different for in or out of network. After submitting my claim for reimbursement they mailed a check for half of what should have been covered. I called and the person I spoke with told me that the out of network coverage is considerably less, and she acknowledged that their website does not say anything about this, and they typically go over the out of network coverage verbally. Had we known that we would be paying considerably more out of network we would have found an eye doctor that was in network. Their website saying one thing, and them following another seems like a bait and switch so that they don't have to pay out as much on claims.

      We reviewed the circumstances regarding ********************** complaint. While we cannot speak to how other insurers handle in and out of network claims, MetLife's FAQs and materials stress the need to go to an in-network provider to obtain the maximum benefit from our plans. Its indeed unfortunate that the member assumed that their new plan would work the same way as their prior carrier and they would get a set amount for both in and out of network purchases, but we encourage all our members to review their plans before obtaining services. MetLife will certainly pay benefits for purchases or services received from an out of network provider, but they may not cover all charges. This leaves the remaining balance as the responsibility of the patient. We would not reconsider the members reimbursement in this case.

      I have the same complaints as everyone else in reference to my critical illness claim beg them to process my claim while I was in chemo therapy kept stating they were missing a document after having initial claim 15 BUSINESS days sent that document again now on another 10 business days its almost 30 days since Ive initiated my claim and Im struggling it does not matter who you report them to the Better Business Bureau consumer financial protection bureau department of insurance regulatory body or the MetLife complaint **** Metlife refuses to process claims in a timely manner in the age of technology everything you send them they want 10 business days to respond their claim payment manipulative Tactic should be addressed by the government I would be happy to put my name on a class action suit

      All necessary medical records needed to review the claim were received and claim was resolved. Please note, that for every new piece of documentation received allows us up to 10 business days to carefully and thoroughly review claims to consider benefits.

      Do NOT waste your time with MetLife unless you have an agent and then it is not going to be quick. MetLife does not communicate. Any communication has taken place because I initiated it. I have been trying for over two months to transfer an account and learned today that a form MetLife received two months ago is missing a signature and the whole form must be completed due to it being "out-of-date". MetLife is STALLING. Why else would they wait TWO MONTHS to tell me a form is missing a signature? Stay away from MetLife!!!

      I wish I could leave a review with zero stars. This company is the worst company I have ever interacted with. I feel bad for the folks working for them because if I hated every interaction as a customer, I can't even imagine what it is like working for them. I filed a claim the day I opened the policy as I had to rush my pet to the vet. TWO MONTHS LATER they denied the claim stating that his "symptoms started before the policy was effective" and therefore couldn't be covered. I was assured up and down that the policy would be effective and cover everything the day I opened it. They don't care about pets and they sure as **** don't care about people. Run away from everything they touch as fast as you can. This company is a scam. I am absolutely furious with the way they handle things. I really wish I had researched them before I opened the policy. I was in a panic because if my pet being sick and I feel like they 100% took advantage of me and promised me their insurance would be there for me and it was all a lie. I hope every employee leaves them to find a new job and they go under. It must be run by the literal worst humans on earth. Unconscionable policies and liars at every turn. With literally no respect, **** Metlife.

      **************** is a joke. It's been two months and they still haven't even began reviewing my claim. They jerk you around and lie. I have made three internal complaints and have been escalated to actually speaking with a manager. Nothing is getting done.

All necessary documentation was received and claim was resolved in a timely manner.       Worst insurance company ever .a Complete SCAM . Filed a claim for accident insurance 6 months ago somehow it got lost in the mail on the way there. Six different times I've called for new forms they said they sent but yet I never received. They blamed the post office My employer was able to get the forms for me and apparently when I faxed everything they lost two pages of those forms. But surprisingly they were able to mail me those two forms . After waiting 15 days for a reply after vaccine those two forms they said they needed more information 6 months of ******** with this company stay away they should lose their insurance license
