      This company has my dentist listed as "in network" on their healthcare.gov page and stated I had coverage for my dentist, even provided a letter to my dentist's practice confirming I was covered.When bills were submitted for payment, I suddenly wasn't covered and my dentist was "out of network."

      Abysmal customer **********************. Its near impossible to find the correct email address or phone number to reach anyone. Once you do, getting a person to reply to said email at all, let alone with helpful information is also near impossible. And on the phone? The bot can never understand you, and the one time I got through to someone and attempted to express my frustration and ask my complaints to be escalated I was told there is no where/one to send them to and nothing she could for me to get my premium back during the time I was attempting to cancel my plan. I even sent in a customer ********************** survey with my comments and all I got back was an email saying the were disappointed about my experience. Thanks for nothing Guardian! I will spend my days finding every possible place I can write a review and giving one star.

      I have had multiple cases of short term disability, with several carriers, they have had pros and cons. Nothing like this company, slow paying, very difficult to contact and generally disingenuous in there concern for policy holders. For the first time in my 48 years of work, I needed to transition from short term to long term disability for a short time. Like a training MANTRA they all said over the phone it can take 45 days to transition the claim from short to long. On the 45th day my account manager informed me the company was taking a 30 day extension,and they were back logged and had not emailed medical requests to the 2 doctors. By my records they were at least 25 to 30 days behind, also confirmed by my account manager, As an insurance company this company looks great for the employer, but they are the worst I've ever seen at satisfying claims. Thankfully my employer pays these premiums, but I canceled dental and everything else I could and would NEVER recommend this company.

      I was declined for my leave TWICE when I had a baby. Every single time I called I was told that I needed a new paper filled out and ******* was not helpful in my case. I had to escalate my case to the *** of my company for guardian to actually help me! I filled out my direct deposit form weeks ago and they still have not sent my payments by direct deposit. This is an AWFUL company. Every single person employed here needs serious training.

      As a dental provider, Guardian is an awful insurance company to work with. They do everything NOT to pay a claim. Their automated system is frustrating. I had to call back a few times just to try and get a live person on the phone. If you're shopping around for dental insurance, I would highly recommend looking for other dental insurance. Even for dental offices, they are very difficult to work with.

      They conduct false advertising. They sent an email stating "When you sign up within 120 days of leaving your Guardian employer group plan, we will waive the typical waiting period." with no additional fine print in the email.After signing up and contacting them to confirm this, they then inform me there is additional fine print not in the email that you must have had coverage for 6 months with your employer to qualify.

      Filed Disability Claim May and still waiting on payment. Was told needed more pay work from doctor. This is about 5th request. Was told last week had everything need to process and then this week sent more paperwork to the doctor. These are all stall tactics to get out of paying claims. The more the request the longer takes to pay the claim. This company is the worst company every for disability. Considering you pay into these benefits and they get the money for the policy. No hurry to pay anything!

      HORRIBLE when it comes to disability payments. The reviews I have seen are spot on for this company. POOR customer **********************, DAYS and DAYS of waiting for a call back, lost documents, run around for simple answers, one case manager tell you this and another tells you that. In the meantime you are loosing your car, house and your mind while dealing with the illness you went on disability to begin wit. HORRIBLE COMPANY!!!!!
