I was contacted for consultation by Insights Driven Research (IDR) on 07-Apr-2025 and agreed with them for a 1 hour consultation on 16-Apr-2025 at the rate of $300 per hour. I completed this consultation on 16-Apr-2025 as scheduled by IDR. Post that I was told that the IDR finance team will get in touch for the payments. After multiple emails follow-ups (attached with the complaint), I was sent a form to be filled on 05-May-2025. I was told the payment would be made soon but it has not been made. I was recruited by IDR for in-person interview on a topic pertinent to my profession. The interview required travel time which took half of my day. Asked to submit W9. The payment was received via ****** for 1000 dollars. Their check did not clear, was returned to maker 2 times, and even after contacting IDR and being assured the check is legit.Business Response

Usually takes 2 days to receive, but the check did not arrive today. Im left with no other options but to file police report here at the local bank for the 2 rejected checks for my own protection and have appointment at the ************* on Saturday. This has been major letdown, never expected such experience.

IDR was contacting me via email and invited me to participate in an online market research survey regarding banking business. They wrote that they approached me because of my LinkedIn profile. They offered a compensation of USD 70 for survey completion after maximum of 4 weeks. They announced, that I will be contacted by their payment provider named "*******", to arrange the payment. 2 weeks later, they emailed me again, asking to participate in "wave 2" of this online survey, and offered 50 USD for this. I participated in this survey as well.Since then, I have never been contacted by Tipalti neither IDR. I have emailed IDR twice to check the status of the payment process, but never received any answer. After seeing a lot of similar complaints on this platform here, and also on Reddit discussion boards, I decided to file a complaint as well.Business Response

I appeared in consulting call where the charges would be $300 USD. I appeared for over an hour and they promised to clear my dues but disappeared.
I appeared for a consulting call for a client of IDR's. This consulting call screenshot has been attached. I appeared on August 28th and they owe me my consulting fee.
After researching online and reading other victim's reviews, they do not seem like a legit company.
More over, I have been chasing after them for my payment and clearing of dues, and they are just dodging me. Providing responses that do not go anywhere.
I have worked with other consulting companies as well and the payment process is transparent and prompt. IDR has been asking me for other personal details that are not related to the payment. I believe this is a scam.

This company is a fraud. They sought me out to conduct research services on digital technology, and committed to compensation. I fulfilled my requirements, and received confirmation a payment would be sent. They have never paid me. This is a Ponzi scheme and must be shut down!!Business Response

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# ********, and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:The business had 3 months to respond to my emails inquiring about compensation. During that time, the employee I originally was communicating with stated that I WOULD be compensated. After I filed my BBB complaint they stated I was not eligible for compensation because I may have completed the survey incorrectly, too quickly, or used too short of answers.
This is their list of reasons as to why my survey may have been invalid:
"This could be because of speeding, frequent change in tabs while filling out the survey, inconsistent or straight-line responses, and so on"
If this was the requirement for compensation, their original employee should have stated so. IDR is obviously not training their employees efficiently and using an open-ended disclaimer to invalidate any survey of their choosing to avoid giving participants the compensation they are due.

I understand what your documents and agreements say but you are not training your employees properly.
Your training of employees is so inadequate that in the past two weeks alone I have had emails from 2 other IDR employees asking me to complete work. It is embarassing that your employees are asking someone who has an active BBB complaint against you to participate in more work.
I do not care about payment at this point. I would prefer your employees never contact me again.

What a complete scam. I am not sure what their intent is but they do not pay. One of their workers even had the audacity to add me on LinkedIn of all places. I was contacted early December 2023 by IDR to complete paid surveys, that would be compensated. They were really pushy and increased the announced remuneration to 110 for the first survey.
