I ordered 4 Covid tests in July for future testing from Fast Labs, who advertised FREE test kits, providing I had insurance, which I did. I'm 71 and am wanted to keep some tests on-hand because Covid was ramping up in ** during the summer. I fortunately didn't need them, and then received notification that my insurance and ******** denied the claims for the tests. I have since learned that if the tests were not used or returned within 7 days, the consumer would have to pay the cost of the tests. This information was not on the order forms I filled out and feel that this was a SCAM. I didn't see the notice about the time limit until yesterday, when I needed to test. Taking advantage of the elderly in this environment should not be legal. I notice that I'm not the only one having this problem, so I hope they will be investigated.Business Response

Our intention has never been to take advantage of any elderly in the slightest. Our tests aren't meant to be ordered and held for future use. Our tests are meant to help those who immediately need it and we tell our patients to only order when they are having symptoms and have a need to test for covid. Please know that our COVID-19 test kits are free of charge provided that you have a valid and eligible insurance, you wont be paying out of your pocket. Once verified eligible, you will receive your test kits and your insurance will cover for you and your insurance will pay Fast Lab. If verified ineligible no test kits will be sent to you.
Rest assured that we will continue to work with your insurance company with regards to this claim and as long as your insurance is active and up to date there will be no charge to you even if they deny the claim. Your insurance company will pay Fast Lab and we will not be billing you for any balance.

I have never ordered anything from this company or done business with them yet they opened 2 claims with my insurance months later after they claim was a "service date" and tried to collect $650. I have never ordered from this company and suspect they are attempting insurance fraud or to defraud customers that have not received anything from them. I saw on the news that the government was offering free home COVID-19 tests, for per household. I did a ****** search, and this company was what I found. After answering health questions and giving my health insurance ID number, I requested these tests. However, my insurance company declined payment which was $325 X 4, or$1,300, stating there was no prior authorization. This was very clearly deceptive advertising.Customer Answer

I saw an Ad for free Covid tests and so I went online and placed an order, no where did it mention that I would be charged for them. A few weeks went by and I received the 2 orders in the mail with no receipt and no statement showing that I was being charged for the Covid tests. Then I received an Explanation of Benefits with a charge of $325.00 for each order for a total of $650.00! That is a ridiculous amount because I can buy a Covid test in a store for $20.00! I have spoken with my insurance company and they are going to look into it further. I would like to hopefully let others know that Fast Lab Technologies LLC is trying to make money on Covid tests that should have been free.Customer Answer

on 8/20/2024 ordered on home covid test, they said yes I qualified and would not have to pay they are billing ******** and then tricare for life. They sent 3 kits billed ****** and used tricare not tricare for life, which gave zero due to wrong coverage insurance and must go after ********. There is no billing phone number and or number to call. last they said on chat inside their web page my insurance pay and will be fixed then no more responses. They assured me there will be no charge to me and they are looking into why I they had three orders for me. AGAIN not done but they say they are refiling and no charges to me. 10/30/2024

They said again don't worry all is going to be paid for and I will owe zero once filed. Yes they did answer phone and transferred to a billing rep.

I placed an order around August 2, 2024, where I provided my insurance information. I received that package, which arrived late, but I didnt mind since it was free through ************* forward, I have now received two additional shipments that I never ordered. It seems theres a third one on the way, as I received a pre-delivery email notifying me of upcoming mail. This company appears to be fraudulent. I suspect they charged my insurance for these three extra kits I never requested. It doesnt make sensewhy would someone who needed a COVID test quickly order multiple kits in one month? This seems like a scam.Since my ******** has ended, I dont know if Im now being billed for these kits that I never ordered. Im going to be very firm in addressing this situation if I am as I keep documentation for everything. At this time, I have not been contacted by Fast Lab regarding complaint ID ********. I received a message from your office, wanting to know if the business has contacted me. The business has not contacted me. Furthermore, the same day I put an BBB complaint I reached out to the business again and asked them to clarify why I was being sent an order multiple times when I only placed one order. They assured me that I did only placed one order, but they shipped them out on different times I told them that they better not bill me separately for each time because I had only placed the order once and my insurance ended on September 30 however they proceeded to continue to mail me cash catch after my insurance ended. I forgot to include screenshots of the conversation so please find attached if you could kindly update my complaint with the screenshots that would be wonderful. The business has not reached out to me at all.

I got Covid September 2023. I needed some testing kits and Fast Labs website said to they are free with insurance. They send me multiple kits that I didnt ask for. Also, they were 2 months too late and charged me $325 per kits through ************. Its so misleading and frustrating to work with because theres no order or shipment confirmations on top of the cost.Customer Answer

On internet I saw website (FAST LAB TECHNOLOGIES LLC) providing COVID test free. Insurance would pay. gave insurance information roughly two weeks later I receive letter from my insurance that they had denied my request. The following day I receive the test in mail. Being denied I got on their website to inform them that my isnurance was not paying for test. $325! I explained the situation to them in what seemed like a auto assistant to take and answer questions Two days later I get another test in the mail. And as of Sept. 13 I now have 3 tests!!! On website I asked where to return tests and reply I got they cannot be returned. website seems selective as to solve my problem that they basically have caused.
