Educators are starting a movement to boycott B&N for ending the Educator Discount Program. With the current state of education (including a mass teacher exodus), B&N chose the worst time ever to end this program! They now expect teachers to pay to join a membership - which is worthless. 10% off?! (Big deal) And most teachers dont need another tote or an upgrade to a bigger beverage. How cheap and insulting! Im done with B&N!

Do not order from here! I received 2 items I did not order. The amount of crazy phone calls I had to make to finally get the items I did order was completely out of control. How you can send people things they did not order and then make them do an obstacle course to try to get the correct items is beyond me.

Be very careful when you buy online from Barnes and Noble they lie about the day you will receive your book and after you buy it they send you an email saying that you will receive it 3 weeks later because they do not have it on hand. And when you call customer service they don't cancel your order and the only thing they offer you is a label so you can send the product back so they can refund your money. If you need a book sooner , go to the store in person or look for another place where you can buy it faster.

They were alerted to an incorrect address the day an order was submitted and shipped it to the wrong address and said there is no recourse. This was also after a phone call and email of horrible customer service wjere they told me to just buy another nook e reader and case.....so I just spent $189 to get nothing. No refund, store credit or even a replacement unless the products end up back at the warehouse. What happens if items were stolen??? Do not order from here.

Our records indicate that ****************** placed her order on March 12, 2023. Please be advised once a customer clicks on the checkout button, the shipping address page is the first page provided in the order path. If the customer already has a default shipping address saved in their account, an opportunity to Change Shipping Address is provided on each page of the order path, prior to clicking the submit order button. When ****************** contacted our ********************* on March 15, 2023, our agent was unable to make any changes to the order, as the order was already shipped. ****************** indicated at that time that the address was her parents address, but she was hoping to have it changed to her new address. In subsequent contacts ****************** requested her order be cancelled; however, since a cancellation was not possible, our ******** Service agent offered ****************** a prepaid return label to return the order for a refund once the items were delivered. Please also be aware, as stated on our Barnes & Noble site, there is only a brief window of time where customers will be able to modify or cancel an order after it has been placed. Our agent provided ****************** with the **** tracking number to confirm the shipment of the order. We show that ******************** order was shipped on March 13, 2023, and according to the online tracking information, the package was delivered on March 21, 2023.

26 Feb I ordered 4 CD's and I got 3 of them. The 4th one was cancelled because they don't have any more. I called them and they won't give the money back unless I give them my account numbers for my debit, or credit card or checking account. I don't give that information to anyone. supposedly they don't write checks. The store won't help me either. I just want my *****.

*********** is a branch of Barnes and Noble that is supposed to cater to self publishing authors. We have had a terrible experience with them and their customer service is non-existent. We ordered 30 copies of a hard cover book that cost ** $39 per copy. We received our shipment, but the shipment consisted of books with glue spilled on the covers and glue which ran onto the pages, making the book unsellable. We have emailed them with no response. I cant wait to see how long it takes for them to respond and whether they are willing to fix the problem.Do yourself a favor and take your business elsewhere.

We received the damaged order report at 4:50pm on Monday, February 20, 2023, and a response was sent to the customer on Tuesday February 21, 2023, less than 24 hours of the customer's initial contact. On Wednesday, February 22, 2023, the customer was advised the order is being reprinted and replaced, and that confirmation would be sent once the replacement is shipped out.

As of today, March 6th, which is 13 days since Barnes and Noble said that they would send replacement books, we have received nothing.

We have replaced 6 copies of The Restoration Scriptures True Name 8th Red Letter Edition With Apocrypha-Red. Unfortunately, since you deleted the file for *************, we were not able to reprint them therefore, we have issued a refund for 9 copies. Your refund will take several business days to arrive depending on your financial institute. We have placed your account on hold pending payment at the end of the month. At that time, we will terminate your account.

This review is not for the specific shop but the business in general. If I could give zero stars I would because the way that they handle preorders is ridiculous in the current book market. If you make a preorder, Barnes and Nobles will precharge your card for the amount when you make that order. It will eventually go away in about 10 day but that means that money won't be available till the system realizes that it's not actually a charge. Then when one of the preorders is ready to be shipped (has been published) you will be charged not for just the one preorder that is published but the whole order again. What this means is that if you say, preordered $400 worth of items and one item in the bunch that is $20 is coming out, your card gets precharged the $400. Which means yet again you don't have access to that $400 in your bank account till the system realizes that it's only needing to charge you for the $20. This is ridiculous! Not only is this the second time but NO OTHER BOOK COMPANY DOES THIS!!! I can't stress this enough because this is a bad practice and I have finally had enough of it from Barnes and Noble. I will never buy anything from them again and it really stinks. Books are the one thing that I treat myself and Barnes and Nobles special editions are great and everything but I can't afford gas because Barnes and Nobles system is absolutely terrible! *********** and ****** don't charge you till the preorder comes out and they only charge you for the preorder amount (the individual item) and indie stores will charge you right away. Pick one of those options Barnes and Nobles because a person can't budget with the way you run your business. It's crazy to me especially when there are so many other options that have sprayed edges and better upgrades (***********). And just some fun info. *********** ships to ****** and if you preorder many items at once the shipping isn't too bad and they had a FREE program to get book money for every book you buy.

When an order is placed through our web site, the credit or debit card is authorized, not charged, for the amount of the order. This authorization puts the funds on reserve, which most card-issuing banks release after a seven-day period. As stated on our website, we first authorize a customer's card when an order is placed, then actually charge the account when the item is provided -- in our case, at the time we ship the order. If Mr. ******** pre-order was paid for with a debit card, his bank places a hold on the account for the amount of that purchase. If the pre-order has not shipped within the allotted authorization time frame (7 days for **** and 30 days for **************************** and Discover), we may need to obtain another authorization from your debit card company. Debited funds are only paid to us when the order ships. Please be aware that bank policies and procedures vary. Our records indicate ****************** submitted an order on January 27, 2023, for twenty-four (24) titles, most of which were preorder items scheduled to be released at future dates. At that time, an authorization was obtained on Mr. ******** payment method for $494.79. Based on the availability of the titles, ****************** titles were processed and shipped. We show two shipments were processed on January 27, 2023, for which ****************** payment method was charged $25.56 and $90.65. A third package was shipped on February 20, 2023, for which a charge of $22.95 was processed. Once we received the cancellation request from ******************, the remaining items were cancelled, and any authorizations were released in accordance with ****************** financial institutions policy. Barnes & Noble now offers B&N Premium Membership and B&N Rewards where Premium Membership holders receive 10% off almost everything in store and online, free shipping, free Caf drink upgrades, and other exclusive offers and moreincluding B&N Rewards, where customers earn one stamp for every $10 spent on eligible items in a single transaction, online or in store. These stamps are then converted into rewards dollars than can be applied to online and in store purchases. Please do not hesitate to contact me should you have any further questions or concerns.

During the order process on the order review page, we note that customers should check their orders prior to submission as there is only a brief window of time where the customers are able to modify or cancel an order after it has been placed. If the order is undeliverable as addressed and returned, a refund will be processed to the original method of payment. We apologize for the inconvenience.

Website advertises that Barnes & Noble has a cafe' with ***************** Went to Barnes and Noble in ********, ** to do a little shopping specifically to get that nice late afternoon pick me up. I was looking forward to it as I had not had a cup of ********* for a long time. When I got there to have that coffee, I was told they didn't have any made and weren't going to make any. They said it was a weekday and they didn't want to waste the pot if it was not busy. Of all things!!!! Was I not a customer? Was I invisible? So easily dismissed? I was shocked and so disappointed. It was late afternoon and no where near closing time. The advertisement on the website is fraudulent then isn't it? A lie! Isn't it? It's not right!

I've canceled my membership two times already and I still get charged annually for it.It's not a lot of money but if you're going to tell me it's resolved than be true to your word and keep it from happening every year anyway. I'm tired of dealing with this every year.
