    I am a seller on the social shopping app Depop with the username @lucasdianda1. I'm writing to address Depop's mishandling of an unauthorized order cancellation and refund for a recent sale.On August 10, I sold an item to user @******* for $100.00, with a final payout of $95.94. I shipped the item the same day using Depop's shipping method and notified the buyer, who confirmed receipt. According to tracking, the item was delivered on August 14, 2024, at 11:05 AM.On August 18, I received a notification stating, "Your order was canceled" and "The buyer will receive a refund." This refund was not authorized by me, and my profile clearly states that I do not accept returns of any kind. Now, the buyer has the item, and I am out $95.94. I connected with customer support and discovered that the buyer had disputed the item without my knowledge. Depop claims they sent me an email, which I did not receive. I provided proof that I did not receive this email. Depop has not provided any evidence beyond their word that they sent an email giving me a chance to dispute the buyers claims. They have stated, "Since we did not receive a response, we assumed you did not want the item back and are happy for the buyer to be refunded in full."However, I have provided evidence that I am a reputable seller and ensured the buyer received their oder and was satisfied. Since then, Depop has debited, then deposited, and then debited my account again for the amount above. I have not consented to any of these actions, and I would like my money back and for them to stop debiting my account. It is highly unprofessional to interfere with sellers' bank accounts, especially for a highly recognized e-commerce site. I am requesting BBBs help in getting to fairly dispute this incident as well as stop depot from messing with my bank account without prior authorization. I would like a higher up member to contact my via ****************** or by call ************ and return my money.

    I am writing to file a formal complaint against Depop regarding the suspension of my account and the withholding of funds owed to me.on august 12th I was no longer into my Depop account (username @rachvisual). I have been selling on this platform for over four years. When contacting the helpdesk I received an email response from Depop on august 13th notifying me that my account had been permanently suspended due to alleged violations of their Terms of Service and Community Guidelines. However, the company has failed to provide any specific information or evidence regarding which guidelines I allegedly breached. Despite multiple requests for clarification, Depop has not provided a clear explanation or any evidence to justify their decision.Additionally, I have funds in my Depop account that I am unable to access due to the suspension. I am not sure as to how much because I no longer have access to my account but I believe it to be at least $50. I have repeatedly asked Depop to release these funds, but they have not responded to my requests regarding this matter.I believe that Depop's actions are unjust and may be an attempt to withhold payment owed to me. I have tried to resolve this matter directly with the company, but they have been uncooperative and dismissive of my concerns.I request that the BBB intervenes to help resolve this dispute. Specifically, I ask that Depop:1. Provides a detailed explanation and evidence of the alleged violations that led to my account suspension.2.     on July 19th my 12 year old daughter used her birthday money to purchase something she really wanted from Depop, after purchasing it the seller explained to wait a few weeks because it takes some time to ship after waiting and still nothing I am appalled that the person has deleted their account and now ******************** is saying they will not refund us due to it being 30 days later....do better and give my daughter her birthday money back.I cant raise an issue for this item Depop? I certainly will and my daughter deserves her money back or the item she purchased for her 12th birthday from your janky site.

    I started selling on Depop in July, and have since started to rack up money as an active seller. Then on August 16th, I woke up to my account being suspended due to "fraudulent chargeback" this is due to the fact that my bank thought that one of the items I bought on Depop was fraudulent. I immediately contacted the bank and let them know it was a real charge and the issue has since been cleared. However, besides the initial email from Depop telling me that I've been suspended, I've received no further communication from them to get my account back. I have sent over ten emails and have messaged them on ******* and no one has reached out to me so that I can get unsuspended. I am so disgruntled because I still have money linked to the account from selling that still needs to be transferred over to my card. They are hoarding my money without communicating with me any developments on the issue. The slow, ignorant, and non-existent customer service is so heinous. They should not be able to hold on to the money that I rightfully own and earned for myself. All the funds I earn go towards my schooling and yet they are trying to keep hold of my money. I am looking for my account back and for them to communicate with me. My account on ********************** is ****************

    To Whom It May Concern,I am filing a formal complaint against Depop for the unfair suspension of my account and the withholding of funds owed to me. Depop suspended my account without giving me the opportunity to respond or provide proof regarding a listing they claimed may be counterfeit. Not only was I not allowed to resolve the matter, but the item in question is not even related to the sales for which I am awaiting payment.Depops actions have prevented me from accessing the funds owed from a completely different sale, and I am unable to track two purchases I made before my account was suspended. Depop is holding my money without justification, which has caused me significant financial distress, and I now have no way to ensure there are no issues with the items I have already purchased and paid for.This is not the first time I have been unfairly flagged by Depop. I am extremely frustrated with their unethical and potentially criminal practices of withholding my money and blocking access to my account. Once I am able to retrieve the funds and complete the purchases, I intend to permanently delete my account and cease all use of the platform.I request your immediate intervention to help me regain access to my account so I can receive my funds and resolve my pending purchases.     Via depop I sold an MIUMIU handbag for $200 as @theocean, I shipped the bag and the buyer @alexisbarros on Depop received the item with no issues. A few weeks after the item had been delivered she initiated a return of the bag due to the bag "not being as described" despite me providing her with photos and measurements of the bag. Depop gave me 48 hours to respond to her request and sided with her and told her she would receive her refund and would not have to return the bag to me. The cost of the bag minus the seller fees was approximately $172 and this was drawn out of my bank account. I have not received the item back and now have been subsequently charged for an item that was successfully delivered to the buyer. The item has essentially been stolen from me with no recourse after reaching out to Depop several times. For more background context, I am a medical student currently on my surgery rotation, this means I am scrubbed in for multiple surgeries over a 24-hour shift, I have to place my phone in a locker and do not have access over multiple days depending on how many surgeries I am participating in. Due to this circumstance there is no way for me to have seen the email or responded in the 48 hours. The buyer also had the purse in her possession for multiple weeks at this point and the bag's condition presented in her case could have been manipulated by her handling in that time frame. I have reached out to Depop and they have offered no recourse or appeals process. I do not believe these practices are fair since buyers can initiate refunds and if a seller does not respond in the short time frame of 48 hours they get to keep the item as well as get their money back. This is unnecessarily unfair to sellers, as I am now without a designer handbag that I wanted to sell in good faith to make money for a new stethoscope. Depop has the power to reverse the decision and arrange for the funds to be given back since the buyer gets to keep the item for free.

    I sold a set of extensions, HALO layered extensions, to a buyer on their platform. The buyer received the item and then submitted a claim ("not as described"). The support team emailed me telling me that I had two choices - either let her keep the item with no return or let her return the item for full refund. I accepted the return of the item & all the platform requires is proof of a shipping label. I received the item, to which I videoed opening, to find there was no product - only an empty box. So the buyer received a full refund as well as my item.
