    I recently made a purchase that was $588 on July 19th, and I ended up getting something different from what I ordered from the seller so I contacted Depop immediately. I was told by Depop to provide evidence which I sent them a video of me opening the package. I followed their instructions and thought I would receive a full refund since I was told multiple time not to worry because it was under their buyer protection policy.I was later approved for a refund since I had evidence and the buyer failed to provide evidence. I later received an email on July 28th after the item was shipped back to the seller saying I won't be receiving a refund after being told I was cover by Depop buyer protection multiple times. They have not provided me any evidence on why they made this decision and Im very upset. This is ridiculous as a first-time customer, and I would not be shopping on this app AGAIN and I want my money back!!!!!

    On 7/25/23 at 10:08 pm CST I received an email from Depop stating that 2-factor authentication had been set up on my account. This was done so via fraudulent access to my account. When following the websites instructions notifying them that I had not requested this change, I was only given the option to reset my password. I reset my password, and was unable to login to my account because the phone number for 2-factor authentication does not belong to me.I ******** Depop customer support of this requesting the fraudulent phone number be removed from my account, and they again asked me to change my password, doing nothing to resolve the issue.I then asked Depop customer service to delete my account, to which they responded asking for a copy of my passport or drivers license to proceed, which seems incredibly unprofessional and suspicious.Meanwhile several listings were posted fraudulently to my account by the entity who accessed it initially, depop flagged all of these listings and emailed me for each listing notifying me they had been removed for violating depop service agreements. Depop continues to do nothing to resolve this issue, and refuses to remove the fraudulent phone number, or deactivate my account. And has poor business practices of allowing the addition of a phone number without requiring 2-factor authentication for the addition of a phone number.
