*********** (World Biographical Encyclopedia) is publishing extremely detailed personal information without my permission. Despite claiming that they allow information to be edited or removed, it is not possible to log in to the site or to contact them via email. What they are doing exposes me and others to the risk of identity theft. Not only are they violating my privacy rights they are operating a misleading website by purporting to allow the removal of personal information without actually allowing it, in what may be an effort to obtain additional personal information misuse it for improper purposes. I understand that BBB has been successful in getting *********** to remove listings when complaints like mine have been made. I would appreciate your doing what you can to get my listing removed. On a recent Safari search of my name I found that Prabook has published personal biographical details about me including my full name, birth date and place and parents names without my permission. I requested that all info about me be removed immediately but days later it is still there. Can you help facilitate this removal as you have for others who have complained about this company. I would also like all cached info and links removed from other search engines so that this info does not come up from searches on other search engines.Business Response

Better Business Bureau:Prabook (World Biographical Encyclopedia) is publishing my unauthorized personal data which appears on its site (**********************************************************) without my permission. I did not authorize or consent to have this information published. I sent an e-mail requesting my profile be removed from their website last month but have not received any response from them. I want them to remove my profile so that all information about me is removed. Please have the company remove my profile and have them make sure all search results related to that profile will be removed from search engines ASAP, as every day this profile is published makes it more likely that I will be a victim of identity theft.
