    Dear BBB:While searching my name on the internet, I found a website (prabook.com, part of World Biographical Encyclopedia) that has, without authorization, published private information about me, including date of birth, place of birth, family names and information from my resume. Publishing such information makes me a target for identity theft and is a violation of my privacy.I sent e-mail requesting my entire profile be removed from their website on May 18, 2023 and May 20, 2023 but have not received any response or action from them. I want them to remove my entire profile so that any and all information about me is removed.Please take immediate action and have the company remove my entire profile and have them make sure all search results related to that profile will be removed from search engines ASAP, as every day this profile is published makes it more likely that I will be a victim of identity theft. This can not wait for the typical processing time for a consumer complaint. I hereby also request they do not sell or give any of my personal information to anyone.

    Although my profile has been removed from the website and it doesn't appear to show-up when searching on google.com, the search result with some of my private information, including birthdate, still shows-up in other various search engines, including, for example, yahoo.com, bing.com, aol.com and duckduckgo.com.  I requested that all search results related to the profile be removed from search engines in my original complaint and the business has not responded to that request.  Additionally, I requested that the business does not sell or give any of my personal information to anyone and the business has not commented on that request.

    I request that the business remove ALL search results related to my profile from ALL search engines, including, but not limited to, yahoo.com, bing.com, aol.com and duckduckgo.com.  I also request that the business confirm they will not sell or give any of my personal information to anyone.

    I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me with respect to 1) the business removing my profile from their website and 2) the business requesting internet search providers to delete cached URLs from their search results and those matters have been resolved.

    With respect to my request #3 that the business confirm they will not sell or give any of my personal information to anyone, although they have not responded in this forum, the business reached out to me via e-mail and indicated they confirm they do not sell or give any of Prabook users' personal information to anyone.  

    Although I am not a "Prabook user" as my information was posted without my knowledge or consent, I assume the business considers me as a Prabook user and is thus confirming they will not sell or give any of my personal information to anyone.  If my assumption is correct, then this resolution is also satisfactory to me and that matter has also been resolved.  If my assumption is not correct, I request the business to let me know. If my assumption is not correct, I retain the right to re-open this complaint regarding this issue.

    Thank you BBB for all of your help in this matter.  Your help is sincerely and greatly appreciated.

    Without my knowledge or consent the Prabook website (i.e. World Biographical Encyclopedia) has my alleged bio in a profile posted on their website. It contains my birthday and other personal information (some correct and some erroneous). I have been a victim of identity theft and do not not want this information available on the internet.I first tried to create an account and login since, per the site, you should be able to edit bios that way. I tried creating and and resetting passwords, etc, several times, but the site does not appear to allow any access or editing as they claim.I then emailed the site contact at ******************* several times over the last few weeks demanding that they remove my profile immediately. I have received no response at all and my profile is still on the site and visible.Can you please assist in having my profile removed permanently from the Prabook site? Thank you.******************************

    Prabooks.com has posted my name and other info about me with inaccurate information in its directory which is accessible on line and shows up in a simple ****** search. I have never set up an account with ******** or authorized Prabooks to publish any information about me. I would like my name and PPI to immediately be removed and for Prabooks to instruct ****** and other search engines to remove such listing. My privacy has been breached which could lead to identity theft. Desired Outcome I seek the immediate removal of my name & other info about me, or assumed to be about me, from the Prabook directory; I seek that Hosting Solutions causes its listing on my name and personal information on search engines to be immediately removed; I seek the right to be forgotten under all applicable state privacy laws, I seek confirmation In writing to e-mail address provided that all of the above actions have been taken.

    Prabook is illegally posting inaccurate, false and sensitive information about me and my family online. This information is inaccurate, misleading and discrediting. Personal data harvesting and posting needs to stop.
