I purchased clothing from New York and company January 25th 2024. Upon receiving items, I was dissatisfied with the clothing and made arrangements to return. I sent back clothing and it was received on February 5. They sent an email saying we are still processing your return, hang tight. After a couple more weeks I receive another email saying they are still processing my return. And to wait 41 days. This is absurd. It is now April 23, 2024, I have sent three emails, called multiple times with no return phone call and no one answering the phone. The customer service is non existent. I work hard for my money and Im currently out nearly 100$. I wont give up, they need to get it together and stop ripping people off.Initial Complaint

On 04.12.24, I made an online purchase with ************* for four items totaling $140.04. Orde #********. The $140.04 was deducted from my checking account almost immediately, but I have received no correspondence from the company. No confirmation of order email, no status update email, etc. Ads, though, I am being spammed by multiple ads daily. When I log-in to my online ******* account I can see my order and order number and it says acknowledged with a tracking number that is invalid. The order has not even been processed yet. In the last six days, I have made over 40 calls to the company (no one ever picks up and no one ever calls back the voicemails you are instructed to leave). I broke down and called the *** Co credit card line to see if I could get assistance that way- *****, with the credit card division, spent over 30 minutes attempting to contact anyone for me- nothing. No answer. Additionally, I have sent emails, text messages, and messages through Instagram. I am never answered. I ordered merchandise and have yet to receive it. I have called multiple times but all it does it goes to voicemail and Ive emailed as well and have yet to get any call backs from them or replies to emails. Hello,On March 13, 2024 I purchased two items at *********************. I also paid for 3-5 day shipping. It is now April 22, 2024, and still no products and no movement in the shipment. I have received numerous emails saying they have contacted their warehouse but still no progress. They do not answer their customer service phone number. I made an online purchase in 3/9. I paid for shipping 5-7 days. I checked the order status and it kept saying the shipping company is awaiting the package. Two to three weeks later I have not received the item but they charged my bank. So I tried calling the company there are only two numbers one for credit card issues and the other is automated and keeps you on hold to speak with someone then hangs *** after 7 minutes. So I sent couple emails to the help email listed with no response. I contacted my bank to contest as Im thinking this is a scam, Not until a week later they sent a email saying they show the order fulfilled. This is a whole month since I placed this order. I did not get the package until 6 days after their first response. Then the order was incorrect. They want to exchange but at this point with no customer service it is too stressful to deal with this company I just want to return these items. They are charging a restocking fee to return. I can only reach them via email which is crazy. I tried to contest the restocking fee as this was not my error but they refused. I just want to resolve this at this point. They sent a link to start returns the items but when it was to print the return label and instructions it said error occurred unable to print label and try again. Needless to say I still cant print the label so I emailed them and waiting for a response. Omg help what are my options at this point? I just want them to send their prepaid label to get their items back and give full refund, no customer should have to go through all this stress and hassle with an online purchase.Customer Answer

At this time, I have been contacted directly by New York & Company regarding complaint ID ********, however my complaint has NOT been resolved because:
The company responded to me stating that their system for returns and printing labels was down and they are working on it. They emailed me again 5/13/24 with a return label. I printed the label and sent the items today 5/15/24 via **** The email outlined that they were only willing to refund $36.10 and will deduct or keep $9.95 as handling fee. I am disputing that handling fee as I stated to them in a email today 5/16/24 that this situation is not my fault. They took forever to send my items, took forever to answer my inquiries and then sent the wrong items. Even after they reached out and approved the return their website was not working to print the return label. I am waiting for them to confirm receipt of the items I sent and to see if they will do a full refund and waive the handling fee.

They have responded to my bank in regards to my dispute of the payment.
NY &Co provided my bank proof of delivery and tracking detail print saying my order was fulfilled/delivered on 3/15/24 which is false. The **** tracking included with this delivery shows delivered at my mailbox 4/8/24. Bottom line even if they were to deduct the restocking fee $9.95 from the total cost at the time of purchase I should get back $34.10 not $26.15 that they are trying to refund me. Im still waiting on my banks decision on weather they agree with this vendor.Sincerely,

I placed an order via www.newyorkandcompany.com on 12/4/2023 for 5 items (order no. ********). The total was $199.32. I received the items, did not like them all & returned i4 items back to the company by starting a return on ************************* and printing a **** shipping label on 12/19/23 and sent it back to the company. I was due a refund of $137.20 back to my NY&Co credit card. On 3/11/2024 I contacted the company via telephone and they started an investigation however I have yet to receive a responseCustomer Answer

I placed an order on April 12. My credit card was charged on April 15 but I never received an email confirmation with the tracking number. I have emailed every email address I could find and called every phone number that I can find and I am not getting anyone and there are no responses to my emails. I need a resolution. I need the merchandise or I need a full refund.
