Watch your account online. New York & Company is quick to over charge fees on returned items. Even if you return the items right away. Here is my situation. on my account that I was unaware of. I was charged two late fees for a $6.00 balance that I was unaware of. The items I returned came out to $60.00 but New York & Company credited $54.00 that I did not know about. Which I learned about the credit during a customer service call. As a result, the ********************** report lates on my credit report and charged me $67.00.

I recently ordered 3 of the same pair of pants from ****** One of the three were poorly constructed. I was at work when the seam below the zipper came loose leaving an opening in an area that is difficult to hide without a long shirt (very embarrassing). I contacted the company on June 6th ( a week or two after receiving the items) regarding the issue. To date, they have done nothing to rectify the situation. I finally stated I was going to make a formal complaint. That caught their attention enough to send me an email stating their return policy is 45 days which I am now past. I have been sending emails since June 6th to only receive and automated message that they would reach out in 4-5 days. Perhaps this is their tactic....avoid responses until the customer is out of their window of time to return/exchange. As a customer of 10+ years, I wouldn't recommend anyone purchase from this company.
