      I was a customer with ******************** for many years. I paid for a membership to be able to have a certain number of clothing pieces rented each month. Over time, I grew tired of the clothing inventory and the poor customer service, so I canceled my membership. I recently saw on my credit card statement that I was still being charged. When I reached out to ***, they said this was for a "pro membership" which I have allegedly been paying for for years. This was a separate charge than the membership I understood i was paying for. It was never made clear to me that I had two memberships. My RTR app does not show me I have a "pro membership" and offers no way of canceling. I believe *** should need to clearly display the memberships a user is paying for and it needs to offer clear ways to cancel that membership. It feels like a massive scam that you may not realize you're paying for two distinct memberships, and when you cancel the only membership shown in the app, you are still left paying for a secondary membership that is not shown anyhwere.

      They take your money, no refunds when clothing is sent damaged. Sizing is terrible! Worst customer service ever. DO NOT JOIN!!

      Awful experience from start to finish. Rented a dress that was popular and unable to order backup. Checked the website and an additional size became available. Added to my shipment only to find out later they messed up and shipped it for 7/5 instead of 6/5 backup size no longer available. Then received notification that my order was being received a day later (no big deal I'll try to intercept the package with *** to pick it up). Confirmed that it was anticipated to now arrive 6/6 (instead of 6/5). Received an email from *** with a subject line "we received your return." Reached out to *** only to find out that the carrier incorrectly sorted my package and it was headed back to the warehouse. No possible way for me to receive it in time for my event and am now scrambling to find a replacement. Inquired why I was told it was still being sent to me when it wasn't and was told it may not have been updated correctly yet. Explained that she gave me the same tracking number and info I just gave to you and her reply was "oh, well she was mistaken then." Extremely disappointed but at this point I have to move on as they clearly don't care about giving good customer service.

      I wish I had gone online to check these reviews prior to signing up for a subscription. It's such a great idea, but so terribly executed. Half of the clothes I received were well worn - to the point I would not wear them in public. Many were faded, two of the sweaters I received had holes, and two of the dresses I received had broken zippers. The kicker was when I cancelled my membership, returned all items, and then was charged $224 for a missing top. I've just reached out a second time in 20 days as I still don't have the charge reversed. Maybe another company can do well with this concept, but don't waste your time or money with this business!

      They use unreliable shippers and totally ruined my event because I ended up with nothing to wear. Despite living in the same city where the dresses are shipped from, they refused to help me when their shipper still had not delivered my dress the day of the event. Zero customer servicea refund is not a resolution when you are promised a time-bound service and have no other options. They just kept saying it wasnt their fault and was out of their control. How about use a more reliable shipper? Send the dress out more than four hours before its supposed to be delivered? Ill never use them again.

      Rent the Runway's special occasion wear is terrible. They do not deliver, their customer service is horrific, and they don't seem to care. If you have an event and you envision yourself in one of the gorgeous gowns they post online, wake up, smell the coffee, and don't order anything because it is unlikely it will arrive, and you might end up in a pickle!

      I needed a dress for a wedding and thought I would try Rent the Runway. I wanted to try on multiple styles to see what fit best so I reached out to their support team and asked if I would be able to rent multiple dresses to try on, & then be refunded the difference for the styles that did not fit. I was assured by multiple customer support **** that I would be able to receive a refund for the styles that did not fit. I went ahead and paid the price to rent multiple styles, but when I returned the ones that did not fit, I was denied a refund for those items. I only wanted to be refunded for the returned styles that did not fit (returned well before the due date). I tried to explain the situation to multiple CSR's but was denied over and over. I have never been treated so inconsiderately by a customer service team. I can only assume that I was purposefully misled by *** for their own gain.

      I received dirty smelly items which smelled like someones perfume. I returned them immediately and canceled my subscription. Then they claimed they didnt receive all of the items back. I sent all items back in the bag they were delivered in. Now they have charged my card for 3 items $257.91, $235.96 and $246.94. Complete fraud. We are disputing with our credit card company and filing a fraudulent charge complaint.

      This business claims to have weekly new arrivals but now doesnt, despite their marketing! Its a complete scam. There is nowhere on the app or website that lists a collection of new arrivals inventory and the newest inventory filter show the same items for weeks now! This is not acceptable and they should be fined for false advertising! Dont trust this business!

      I have been a Rent the Runway subscriber for more than 5 years, I was a campus representative for them in college and I had always recommended them to my friends. Late last year I was accepted into the *** Curator program, where in exchange for a free month of rentals I created content and posted on my social media channels. A few weeks after posting I reached out to see if I would be a part of the program next month, and I did not hear back for weeks. I had to reach out via Instagram and even then, I was not getting a straight answer. A few days later I got notified that I had won an Instagram giveaway, it took them three weeks and two emails from me to send me the prize (free rentals). After reaching out again I finally heard from their Curator team letting me know I would not be needed for that months program but they would reach out the next month. 30 minutes later I got an email saying my subscription had been canceled and then another email from a different person telling me I was no longer part of the program. This week I went to use my rental codes from the giveaway and they are not working. After we reaching out multiple times I am still waiting for a response. If you are a creator do not work with them.
