I made the mistake of listening to an agent from the Worldwide Women's Association. They promised networking with other women in the airline industry. She told me the fee was in ***, they took a lifetime membership in USD I was told I had 30 days to cancel, yet on the website, it's only 15, and no one will answer the phone. All their promises were lies; there is no write-up, no introductions, and most importantly, no invoice for the fee they ******* I have any recourse to get my money back?Business Response

This business is a scam. Admittedly, I voluntary joined and paid the one "lifetime" charge. I have since been charged randomly two additional times. Trying to reach someone by phone does not work. The last time they accepted an email and reversed the charge, but they did not remove my credit card information. I think they hope I have used my card so often I won't notice a random UNAUTHORIZED charge. Simply refunding is not enough. Literally stop charging me, please. It's a pain to resolve.Business Response

In September 2023, I applied to join the Worldwide ********************* believing it would be a great representation of professional women. After a brief phone interview, a representative informed me that I had been accepted as a member. However, to participate in this organization, I was required to pay a one-time lifetime membership fee of $149, which I agreed to.On June 20, 2025, I received a notification from my bank regarding an unauthorized charge of $459.99 to my debit card. I did not authorize this payment and have not agreed to any future charges from this organization. Despite my repeated attempts to contact the ****************** since September 2023during their office hours of 9:00 am to 6:00 pm EST, Monday through Fridaymy calls have gone unanswered, leaving me with a deep sense of injustice. After reviewing information about the *** online, I discovered that I am not alone; many other victims have labeled this organization as a scam. The Worldwide Womens Organization and its practices are highly deceptive. They have never sent me any emails, receipts, or explanations regarding the annual charges for 2023 and 2024. I have closed my credit card and disputed this transaction with my bank's fraud department for the third time. I have previously attempted to cancel my account and have received no services in exchange for the $149 membership fee. This scam must come to an end. Please be vigilant and avoid falling into a trap like I did.Business Response

6/6/25 I was fraudulently charged $399 after attempting to cancel any "membership" over 4 years ago. I had originally signed up for a $249 per YEAR membership. When I was repeatedly charged $299 month after month I was forced to dispute and block the charges with my bank. My bank assured me these charges would not go through again, yet 4 years later I'm suddenly being charged $399 out of the blue, and my bank did not catch it as the dispute and block expired. There is no way to log in when you don't actually accept any agreement or agree to the charges, do NOT fall for this scam.Business Response

Sometime in April/May, I applied to be a part of the Worldwide Womens Organization on ********, believing it was a great representation for professional women. I was contacted by one of their representatives and after a brief phone interview, I was advised that I was a member but in order to be a part of this organization, I had to pay a one time fee of $249, which I agreed too. On June 13, 2025, I received notification from my bank that a $449.99 charge was charged to my credit card. I did not authorize this payment nor did I authorize any future payments to this organization. I contacted the organization and was told by the female who answered the phone that she had nothing to do with that and refused to transfer me to the finance department. She then told me she was hanging up on me and to have a good day. I was advised this organization was a scam via other victims of this organization via ********. Their practices are extremely deceptive and a complete scam. This organization has caused me a lot of stress and annoyance and other women should be warned and this organization should be taken out of business.Business Response

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that although, Ive accepted the resolution of their actions, of attempts to steal my money, Id like to add that this association/support team DID NOT solve my issue, and had never responded to my e-mail. This association did not voluntarily return my money as theyre making it appear. Thanks to the fraud unit at my bank, my bank resolved this issue by immediately reversing the unauthorized transaction.
Sincerely,

Received a phone call about my membership. When I asked questions I got deflective answers. I directly asked multiple times how the company obtained my personal information I was met with deflective answers that it's one of three ways. I asked again- specifically my information how did the company get it. I was called a c*** on the phone by a representative when I called her out on being deflective. I DEMAND TO KNOW HOW THIS COMPANY GOT MY INFORMATION.Business Response

This company called me out of the blue, saying that I had applied for membership. I had not. However after having a conversation with the woman on the phone the opportunity to join the company and increase professional visibility sounded good. She charged me $249 for a lifetime membership. I received a user name and password but was unable to ever access the website to log in. When I emailed them, they stated that it was user error and they were able to log in. Yesterday they called me to encourage me to complete my PR profile/bio. How they were doing a press release. At the end of the conversation I was told that there would be a charge for the press release that I had agreed to when I enrolled as a member. This is untrue. I specifically told the *** on the phone yesterday that I did not give them permission to charge any further charges. My concern is now they have my credit card info! I want my account deleted and my credit card info deleted. Im very concerned about this company scamming many women. Please stop this company!Business Response

I completed an application with the Worldwide Womens Association but clearly stated that I was not authorizing any charges at that time. After reviewing more information and reading extensive negative reviews describing how the company has been scamming women and charging them without consent, I informed them that I did not want to move forward.Despite this, they began charging my credit card without my authorization, and have continued doing so repeatedly over the course of several years. I never signed a membership agreement. I never gave permission for any payment. These charges were made against my express instructions. The total taken from my account is well over $1,000, and I am currently working with my credit card company to identify how far back this activity goes. This is not a misunderstanding, this is a pattern of unauthorized, predatory billing. It is deeply unethical and, in my view, fraudulent.I am requesting:1.A full refund of all unauthorized charges 2.A written confirmation that I was never enrolled or authorized as a member 3.Immediate termination of any use of my personal or financial information If this is not resolved promptly, I will escalate to the Attorney General, ************************, and ************************************ for formal investigation.Business Response
