I was contacted by an individual from the organization about membership. They told me there was a one time charge for a lifetime membership. I paid the $250 membership fee and then a month later was charged an additional $450. I have no idea for what because they haven't done anything for me. No services were provided. I did not approve any additional charges. I see they have done this to others. I called the credit card company and they told me it is a "subscription" and this will happen every month.Business Response

I was contacted by The Worldwide Womens Association and offered a 5-year membership for a one-time payment of $99 USD, which I agreed to and paid. However, I was recently charged an additional $199 USD without my knowledge or consent. I did not authorize this extra payment, nor was I informed of any further charges beyond the original agreement.This unauthorized transaction is deeply concerning and feels deceptive. I am requesting a full refund of both the $99 and the $199 charges. Additionally, I want my credit card information removed from their system, and I do not wish to have any further contact or affiliation with this organization.This experience has raised serious doubts about the legitimacy of this business, and I hope prompt action will be taken to address this issue.Business Response

at any sale considered under a subscription means that the merchant can charge without cardholder consent. The *** has established their membership as a subscription service. Never receiving any requested information disclosed in their literature along with the refund policy, I continued to call, email and replied that I did not consent to any charge. On April 17, after preparing this complaint to move forward, my credit card company successfully was able to have the charges refunded. The company did not have to play games like this in trying to steal. Better Business is not predatory, nor does it use people or policies to extort and exploit. charges as I since realized that they were not a legitimate organization. I also asked for a refund of the original $249 USD which they have not responded to. They put through an additional charge (using a different merchant number) and then refunded it. Over 200 complaints already with the same experience.Ive had a similar experience with a moving company a few years ago so I logged into my bank account and turned my credit card off hoping I could beat them to it. I reported it as a fraudulent charge and asked for the card to be cancelled. I responded to the email they provided to cancel the charge and the membership. When calling the number, it says to email the support team. There is no option to speak with someone.Business Response
