I am filing a complaint against The Worldwide Women's Association ************** / ********************************** ****************************** for failing to deliver the services promised and for continued unauthorized charges to my account. In March 23 & 25, 2025, I signed up for a professional portfolio to be created and published on their website in 2022, but to date, no portfolio has been built or posted. Despite this non-delivery, they have withdrawn $249.00 and $39.00 from my account without my authorization.I have made repeated attempts to resolve this directly: I called their customer service line (calls are not answered and voicemails go unreturned), and I sent multiple emails. Although I received one email assuring me a refund would be issued within 712 days, I have yet to receive any credit, and more than a month has now elapsed.I respectfully request the BBBs assistance in obtaining a full refund of all unauthorized charges.Thank you for your attention to this matter.Business Response

I signed up for the Worldwide Women's Association and provided a one-time payment to gain access to the resources. I have since been charged several times without warning and for no reason, the latest totaling $439.99. I have contacted them several times about this. The first time, they said no further transitions would be made on my account. This is the third time this has happened with no change. Give me my money back!Customer Answer

I am filing this complaint because the Worldwide Womens Association charged my credit card in March and April 2025 without my consent. Their policy states that memberships do not auto-renew and that users will be notified before renewal. I received no such notification.Additionally, I attempted to resolve this directly by:Calling on April 1 (3:42pm & 3:55pm) and April 17 (11:35pm)Emailing support on April 1 at 3:58pm Submitting a contact form on April 17 I received only automated responses and no human assistance. I cannot access any account on their platform, and I have had no activity or charges from them in 2022, 2023, or 2024. These recent charges appear to be based on outdated account information.I am requesting a full refund and removal of any stored payment information.Business Response

I was contacted by an individual from the organization about membership. They told me there was a one time charge for a lifetime membership. I paid the $250 membership fee and then a month later was charged an additional $450. I have no idea for what because they haven't done anything for me. No services were provided. I did not approve any additional charges. I see they have done this to others. I called the credit card company and they told me it is a "subscription" and this will happen every month.Business Response

I was contacted by The Worldwide Womens Association and offered a 5-year membership for a one-time payment of $99 USD, which I agreed to and paid. However, I was recently charged an additional $199 USD without my knowledge or consent. I did not authorize this extra payment, nor was I informed of any further charges beyond the original agreement. This unauthorized transaction is deeply concerning and feels deceptive. I am requesting a full refund of both the $99 and the $199 charges. Additionally, I want my credit card information removed from their system, and I do not wish to have any further contact or affiliation with this organization. This experience has raised serious doubts about the legitimacy of this business, and I hope prompt action will be taken to address this issue.Business Response

Hello *** ******* ****** thank you for reaching out and were sorry to hear about your concern. The $199.00 USD payment was authorized by you during the course of your conversation with your membership director on 4/29/2025 for the **************** Release. You cancelled the service on 4/30/2025 and our Finance Team received a dispute from your bank on 5/2/2025 which they did not contest, ergo you have been refunded for that billing by your card issuing bank. We have expunged your details from our billing system as per your request. If you need any further support please contact our team via email.Initial Complaint

I completed an online form for the Worldwide Women's Association through ********. I was contacted by phone and later requested my card information to be deleted after seeing the reviews of the company on the BBB. I called back and spoke with someone to verbally let them know that I was not joining. The business did not honor my request and processed my card. The date of the first unauthorized was charge was $249.99 on February 26, 2025; 1:38 Mountain Time. I saw the charge on my statement and immediately contacted my credit card company to dispute. They advised me to contact the organization. When requesting a refund for that transaction and disputing the charge, the Worldwide Women's Association merchant #********** issued another charge for $449.99 for a "Press Release" on April 14, of 2025. The two unauthorized charges totaled $699.98. I called my credit card company after the second unauthorized charge occurred. I was told that there was a federal law on "subscription charges" that any sale considered under a subscription means that the merchant can charge without cardholder consent. The *** has established their membership as a subscription service. Never receiving any requested information disclosed in their literature along with the refund policy, I continued to call, email and replied that I did not consent to any charge. On April 17, after preparing this complaint to move forward, my credit card company successfully was able to have the charges refunded. The company did not have to play games like this in trying to steal. Better Business is not predatory, nor does it use people or policies to extort and exploit. This is a national embarrassment-"worldwide" to women.Business Response

On April 28, ************************************************* ******** to sell me membership services to Worldwide Women's Association based on my LinkedIn profile. I had also noted several missed calls from the same number to my work cell phone. I did not recall expressing interest in joining this specific group and when asked to provide my credit card info over the phone I declined. I was then sent a "secure" payment email with a link which I actioned. The Welcome email I received afterwards had discrepancies in both the membership info, and the rate quoted on the call. I ******* the business and immediately saw several fraud alerts via BBB and via ********. I contacted my credit card company who verified the transaction has been flagged as fraudulent and my card has since been disabled to prevent further charges.Business Response
