      Received 2 books in mail unsolicited from Readers Digest, collections of short stories I didnt want and through away. Later billed $34.91 as bill for first book. Letter was very threatening, headed AMNESTY NOTICE and stating that Due to the long overdue unpaid balance you owe to Readers Digest, your name has been placed on a list of seriously delinquent accounts. Called their call center and complained, no apology but the said they would remove the charge and to ignore the subsequent bill I will be receiving for the second book. Very annoying business practice, and I could see where others may be intimated into paying for these terrible books.

As stated in the offer, when ordering this book, the customer would automatically be enrolled to preview other books in the series for a 30-day period with no obligation to buy and the option of canceling membership at any time.       This company responded with a statement that ordering a book automatically enrolled you to receive subsequent books - however, we never ordered the first book!

      I have been a ************* subscriber for many years. I now wish to cancel my subscription but am having A SERIOUS PROBLEM FINDING OUT HOW TO CANCEL MY SUBSCRIPTION. TIRED OF THE RUN AROUND!!! NO PHONE OR ANY CONTACT TO CANCEL. **************************
