I received a magazine in the mail. I had apparently been signed up for a subscription. I called the magazine and they told me that this company, We Scribe, signed me up and I had to contact them. I have never heard of this company nor have I ever been in any sort of contact with them. I do not feel comfortable reaching out to some unknown company with an extremely poor website about anything having to do with me. It all reeks of a scam some how. I did an online search and see that this We Scribe company seems to be very busy signing a lot of people up to magazine subscriptions. I sent them a request asking how they got my information and requesting they tell me who signed me up for this magazine subscription and who is paying the bill for it. I did not authorize this nor do I want it. Nor do I have the time to chase down some random company signing me up for things I do not want only to have them remove me from everything. My time is valuable and I do not appreciate having to take time away from my family to devote to this nonsense.Business Response

*** **** contacted We Scribe via an online message on June 9, 2025, at 8:41 PM Eastern Time. Our office was closed at that time; our business hours are Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM Eastern Time. We received this notice on Tuesday, June 10,2025.
On Tuesday, June 10, 2025, we promptly processed ******** GQ ************ for cancellation (confirmation number ******). We also emailed *** **** at 9:07 AM Eastern Time to confirm the cancellation and advise him that he might still receive additional issues due to the publisher's production schedule, which is out of our control.
We Scribe has placed ****** **** on our Do Not Market list, which is maintained in perpetuity. I randomly started receiving a physical subscription to ************ After receiving multiple issues, but no charges to any of my accounts, I contacted ** to inquire why I had a subscription. Prior to receiving this notice on Wednesday, April 9th, 2025, at 7:38 PM Eastern time, *** *************** called our office on Wednesday, April 9th, 2025, at 4:49 PM Eastern time and again at 4:51 PM Eastern time, followed by a text message at 4:54 PM Eastern time. We also received a Contact Us email request on our website at 4:51 PM Eastern and an email to *********************************** at 5:01 PM Eastern time, plus a text message at 4:54 PM Eastern time. We appreciate ****************** utilizing all our methods of communication, however, with office hours of Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM Eastern time, we were not able to respond before closing.
On Thursday, April 10th, 2025, at 9:04 AM Eastern time, our office replied to *** **************** text message and completed his cancellation request, confirmation number ******* at 9:04 AM Eastern time. As is our policy, an email response was sent to both of *** **************** emails at 9:05 AM Eastern time and 9:06 AM Eastern time respectively. In our response, we advised that he may still receive additional issues. This is due to the publishers production schedule and out of our control.

I been receiving Real Simple in the call I called them to stop receiving this magazine that I never subscribed to. They told me I had to call We Scribe I ask what kind of company they were the lady said it's a third party company which I nerve heard of she was very quiet to give me the number as if she has had a lot of calls about the same thing. I have received issues of *********** that I did not subscribe to or want. I contacted ** customer support and was told that they can stop sending me issues, but We Scribe was managing the subscription, and that they(GQ) could not cancel my subscription or tell me how it was being paid for. We Scribe has apparently obtained my information without my consent and used it without my consent to initiate a subscription without my consent. ** customer support provided me with a phone number for We Scribe, but in order to cancel We Scribe has to cancel it. I received a copy of *********** yesterday out of nowhere and I called ** and found out this company signed me up without my permission. I was able to cancel the subscription but ** knew nothing about payment or anything and just gave me the contact information for this company. I received a *********** for Feb 2025 that I did not subscribe to. I contacted ** and was told a third party called We Scribe was responsible for subscribing me. They were able to suspend the magazines from being delivered to my address but I was told I had to contact We Scribe to cancel the subscription. I have received 1 issue of GQ FEB 2025 - that I did not subscribe to or want. I contacted ** only to be told that We Scribe was managing the subscription, and that they (GQ) could therefore not cancel my subscription or tell me how it was being paid for. I started getting unsolicited subscription magazines from ************ I never subscribed to this and it's alarming that a company can subscribe me to something that I did not request. We scribe somehow got a hold on my old mailing address that I haven't been living there in over 9 years.
